The global family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) led by our able Leader Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU while repudiating in its entirety the lies and shameless blackmail contained in the 2022 IEP report, condemn in the strongest term possible this brazen attempt by the IEP to do a hatchet job for the Nigerian government by making itself readily available and willing to be used by the Fulani government of Nigeria as one of its international propaganda agency in an attempt to present IPOB a non violent Self Determination movement as being violent.  

It is very unfortunate to say the least that a global  organisation such as Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), a USA based Institute that have been providing measurable global terrorism index will throw its reputation in the mud  descend so low as to publish concocted malicious and fallacious reports in an attempt to serve the interest of the Fulani in Nigeria thereby exonerating Nigeria a well known State sponsor of terrorism while blackmailing a non-violent Self Determination group, IPOB for a fee. The Institute for Economics and Peace must know that it has damaged its reputation beyond imagination with their inaccurate report filled with hate, falsehood, blackmail and propaganda against IPOB. 

It may not be very obvious to them now but because the institute made itself a willing tool in the hands of the enemies of Biafra and the Biafran people, this institution shall gradually lose relevance until another more objective and reputable institute shall take their place because they have sold their conscience for pecuniary gain. How can any sane person or Institute mention the name of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) while writing about terrorism. The IEP should have asked the Tony Blair Institute what became of it after turning itself into a propaganda tool for the same Nigerian government.

The Indigenous people of Biafra led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not and has never been under any illusion that our desire for liberty and Freedom will easily and readily find acceptance and understanding amongst certain Western Nations because to them black people have no right to Self Determination.

In this recently published IEP's Terrorism Index Report of 2022, the current Nigerian Government was cleverly portrayed as having improved its propaganda and blackmail against IPOB by claiming to have a working counter terrorism action plan in place but the reality on the ground depicts an entirely different picture bacuase the terrorists have become more emboldened, more daring and more bloodthirsty under this Buhari Government. 

According to the report, the total number of dead victims as aresult of terrorism in Nigeria for 2021 amounted to 448 dead, which was the lowest level it had been since 2011. This is another concocted lie. In one state alone such as Benue State and Uzouwani in Enugu State, the Fulani sponsored terrorists supported by the Nigerian government have killed more than 400 civilians. Ask yourself for a moment why the IEP and the Tony Blair Institute should present such shameless and bare faced falsehood. 

The answer lies in their interest in the Zoo upcoming SELECTION PROCESS by which they hope to maintain the status quo which will guarantee the continuous exploitation of the resources of the disparate Indigenous Nations forced into the contraption called the Zoological Republic of Nigeria. That is why these Western agencies funded by their respective governments can manipulate facts on the ground, manipulate the truth and change the narative to accord with their premeditated evil aganda and objective. 

The Indigenous people of Biafra led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has stated for the umpteenth time that we have neither interest nor business with the Nigerian jamboree selection process. The Biafran people cannot be intimidated into participating in a sham process before our Self Determination struggle will gain legitimacy in the eyes of the Pro Nigeria Western governments, institutions and organisations.

Instead of stating the facts and standing for the truth, the once reputable IEP has decided to hypocritically report fake information and propaganda for the Nigerian government in other to deceive the gullible minds in the international community  that IPOB an unarmed non violent freedom movement  is now the third group responsible for the death of persons in Nigeria. We challenge IEP to present irrefutable evidence where IPOB killed any person in Nigeria. The bias and fallacies contained in the  IEP 2022 report is so surreal and mind boggling in this age of IT AGE where informations are at our fingertips by simply browsing the internet. The truth and fact of the matter is that incontrovertible  evidence abound depicting and recording massacres and extrajudicial executions of many IPOB members by Nigeria Security Agencies since 2016 and 2017.

  

IPOB Lawyers, Amnesty International in Nigeria, International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) Nigeria, many Diplomatic Missions in Nigeria including even the Nigeria media have  evidences of mass killing of unarmed IPOB members by the Nigeria Government using all its security apparatus for these crimes against humanity . If we may ask the IEP what have we the Biafran people done wrong other than demand for an internationally supervised  REFERENDUM to allow all oppressed Indigenous Nations in Nigeria the opportunity to decide their fate?

We are not declared the use of force as a methodoly to achieve this demand and our ultimate goal of a Free Independent and Sovereign Biafran Nation. So why all these propaganda to blackmail IPOB in the world. Irrespective of all the illegal arrests, detaintions, torture, extrajudicial killings including extraordinary rendition of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra  Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria the British and USA have never said anything rather they are in  league and collaborating with Nigeria an internationally acclaimed State sponsor of terrorism disrespecter of Rule of Law and violent violator of all known Fundamental Human Rights to fight against IPOB. 

IPOB has remained peaceful in the face of all these high levels of provocation. IPOB has a proven track record as a non-violent freedom fighting movement with offices and family members legally operating in over 120 nations of the world, including the USA and almost all the countries of Europe. In all these nations, IPOB has been peaceful working within the confines of the laws of our host country, law abiding with no trace of violence. For IEP to tag IPOB as the third group that has caused the death of people in Nigeria, it is highly provocative and libelous and indicates that this group is compromised.

It is very unfortunate that the USA government, through her agencies, have shown that they are working together with the Nigeria government to blackmail and persecute IPOB members for seeking a UN recognized Self- Determination through Referendum. If we are doing illegal  agitation, the IEP should  come  out and tell the world what we have done wrong instead of them to hide and plan world blackmail against a non violent movement fighting for their peoples freedom. The world is watching them, and they can not escape what is coming to them. 

It's on record that USA Department of State has removed Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern  on violation of Religious Freedom from their 2022 and later returned irrespective of many recorded cases of Christian massacres and invasion of Christian worship centers by Islamic extremists sponsored by the state because if the  Government has no hand in the  insecurities they would  have found  ways to stop the massacre that occurred in Owo Catholic Church, Fulanis lynching of Lady Deborah the  young lady from Sokoto state, and the recent burning to death of Rev. Fr. Achi of a Catholic Church in Niger State to mention but a few examples.

The inability of the Institute for Economics and Peace to even mention the Fulani terrorist Herdsmen which is the 4th most deadly terror group in the world in their report is a clear indication of who contracted IEP to tarnish the image of the Indigenous People of Biafra. It confirms the intel at our disposal that sinister collaboration is going on between Nigeria, the USA and the British  governments to blackmail and discredit IPOB in the eyes of the international community which is the only credible and unwavering  mouthpiece of the oppressed Nations in Nigeria in other to continue in the implementation of the Abuja Declaration which essentially seeks to levy a jihad against Nigerian Christians,  exterminate them, take over the ancestral lands of the Indigenous People, import  foreign Fulani terrorist Herdsmen from all over africa and establish an Islamic republic 

Notwithstanding very copious documented evidence of Fulani Herdsmen's massacres across Nigeria including the most recent slaughter of more than 100 people in Eha Amufu Community in Biafra Land by Fulani terrorists called herdsmen the IEP did not think it worthy of mention because (i) the victims are Biafrans and (ii) mentioning it will defeat the purpose of the blackmail and propaganda against IPOB.

The IEP should contact some reputable organizations based in Nigeria, such as Armnesty International and particularly the home grown Civil Society Organisations such as International Society for Civil Liberties and Rule of Law (Intersociety) Onisha, Nigeria to get the true facts and stop being the purveyor of falsehood and propaganda for the Nigerian government. 

We are aware that US Government has so much interest in Nigeria and the Oil and Gas from Biafra land and wouldn't mind giving tacit support to a terrorist government to wipe out Biafrans and to disterblize Biafra Region. They have done it in the past against Revolutionary African leaders and are still doing it as I write. It's obvious that they are not hiding their interest and bias against Biafrans. They should bear in mind that we are no longer in 1967 when the media were used to demonize Biafrans by branding our people aggressors instead of victims. We are here to tell our own stories to the world with facts and figures.  We advise the USA Government to stand as a global Human Right Defenders to defend the right of every world citizen and not join the oppressors to abuse the rights and privileges of ordinary citizens.

IPOB remains peaceful and determined in the pursuit of Biafra liberation through UN supervised referendum. We are not going to be distracted by sponsored blackmail and propaganda, not now and not tomorrow.

The coming of the Free, Independent and Sovereign Biafran Nation is a miracle in the making therefore, neither the alliances of those that hate us for being Biafrans and do not wish us to exist as a people nor all the forces of darkness shall be able to stop what CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA has decreed shall be.

Going by the excruciating treatments meted to prisoners, inmates and detainees by their detaining authority, one would agree with this fact that detention is tough. The ill treatment, solitary confinement, starvation and general inaccessibility to ones Freedom and choices amounts to the painful parts of being in detention. 

Nigerian detention facilities and infrastructures are as depleted and deteriorated as the country itself. An observation at some detention facilities around the country exposes these hard and unfair conditions upon which detainees are being kept.  These inhumane treatments aggravates health conditions of many inmates, worsens their psychological conditions, and at several points leads to deaths of hundreds of inmates in Nigerian detention facilities.

In the same vein, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a prisoner of conscience; who has been discharged and acquitted by Court of Appeal, a court of competent jurisdiction in Abuja, on 13th October, 2022, is undergoing hash and inhumane treatments from the Nigerian Department of State Security(DSS), and the federal government. The DSS have persistently refused to obey the order of court declaring Kanu discharged and acquitted from all charges levelled against him.  As if that was not enough, DSS have continued to maltreat Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, using different guises; Ranging from putting him in solitary confinement, denying him prescribed medication, refusal of access his personal doctor's examination, disallowing him his religious materials, to refusing him his routine meals, and so on. 

These hard and harsh conditions explain the fact that being in detention is very tough, especially that of Nigeria. It is a place unwanted by humans, meant to break hardened individuals, determined personalities, and to soften unyielding individuals by the use of unfair, inhumane and unhealthy treatments.

Against the Nigeria government's expectations, however, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has continued to show his preparedness, resoluteness and resilience to these harsh and unhealthy treatments meted to him even under solitary confinement. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have continued to prove abortive to these various mechanisms deployed by the DSS and their masters to weaken him physically. He has continued to remain steadfast to his convictions, inspite several tactics used by the enemy to bring him down. 

Indeed, detention is tough but here, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu have continued to show and prove that he's very much tougher and unbreakable to be melted or weakened by these inhumane conditions meted on him. His indefatigable strength and determination has kept baffling the enemies into wondering and pondering on the kind of man they kidnapped, tortured, extraordinarily renditioned and kept in solitary confinement for over a year, yet he remains unbendable. His motivation to remain strong and focused on his cause throws his enemies into confusion and disarray.

Therefore, it is high time the detaining authority, DSS and the federal government gave up on this failed suicidal mission they embarked on, release the IPOB leader unconditionally alongside paying him his compensations as duly ordered by the  United Nations Working Group(UNWG) and Abuja Appellate Court. A stitch in time, saves nine.

The Movement and the family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi KANU, condemn the barbaric murder of an Igbo Catholic Priest by Fulani terrorists in the Northern part of Nigeria.

 

Fulani herdsmen burnt an Igbo Catholic Priest, Reverend Father, Isaac Achi of Saint Peter & Paul Catholic Church, to death in the Kafin Koro Community in Paikoro Local Government Area of Niger State.

 

Fulani herdsmen invaded the community at about 1:00 a.m. on Sunday and began shooting indiscriminately.  It was reported clearly that the Fulani terrorists burnt down the building where Rev. Fr Achi hid when they couldn’t gain access to abduct him. Even when the church members alerted Nigeria Security Agencies during the attack, they refused to come to his help and rescue.

 

It's imperative for Christians in Nigeria to understand that Fulani agenda with tacit support from Fulani controlled Government of Nigeria has an agenda to forcefully Islamize and Fulanize this country, Nigeria. The burning alive of Igbo Catholic Priest in Niger State by Fulani terrorists is not only barbaric but also an affront to Igbo Nation and Christian Association of Nigeria. Fulani terrorists have been killing Ndigbo in the North at any opportunity, and this must not continue.

 

Catholic Church and Nigeria Christians, in general, must not allow the constant intimidation and killing of Christians to continue. Christians, wake up! This Fulani jihad is directly targeted at you.

 

Fulani terrorists jihadists killed Deborah Yakubu in cold-blood in Sokoto state for doing nothing wrong. She did nothing wrong when Fulani jihadists killed her and released Muslim ladies while abandoning Leah Shaibu because she was a Christian, and Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN did nothing. 

 

Nigeria Christians are doomed if they do not stand up to defend themselves against these murderous Fulani Agendists. Waiting on the Nigeria security agents to defend them is committing suicide. Muslims in Nigeria are all in support of the numerous massacres and humiliations from the Fulani terrorists. It is time Christians wake up from their slumber and realize that the Fulanization agenda is here and is no longer a secret.  The present Government and their Security Agencies are part of the agenda. That is why they will never respond to distress call during terrorist attacks, neither will they arrest any of the murderous terrorists let alone prosecute them.

 

Christians must stand up and fight these terrorists or be exterminated. The agenda is not only about religion but is also an ethnic cleansing agenda supported by the Nigeria government and its Fulani dominated security apparatus.

 

 

 

IPOB is calling on all Christians and Christian Organizations in Nigeria to wake up from their silence and slumber and form a resistance group for self- defense. Otherwise, fulani terrorists masquerading as herdsmen will exterminate them into extinction. Moreso, we want Igbo Christians to be ready because we can not afford to allow fulani to be murdering Igbo priests posted to the Northern Region for apostolic work by the Catholic Church.  Enough is enough!

 

 

 

IPOB would have put these fulani terrorists in their place if not that the Nigeria Army, Police, and DSS agents are fighting as their backup. It's obvious that Nigeria government and her security agencies are working together with the terrorists to persecute Christians and non Fulanis in Nigeria, but their Fulanization agenda will never succeed until Biafra Nation exits from the contraption called Nigeria.

It is certain that every true freedom fighting movement must have a leadership, and a supreme leader. In the case of Biafra Freedom quest championed by the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu who hails from the Israel Kanu family in Afaraukwu Ibeku, Abia State in Biafraland, happens to be the indefatigable leader of IPOB.

For the fact that Nnamdi Kanu is from the Israel Kanu's family, does not in anyway or form, place any of his siblings or family associates as his(Nnamdi Kanu) successor or representative, especially now that he is unjustly detained by the federal government of Nigeria. This is mostly so because of the hierarchical organogram of the IPOB Movement's structure, wherein no member(s) of Kanu's family has a position or is fixated in any form.

Also, Nnamdi Kanu himself had severally stated unequivocally that in any case of his absence, as temporarily the case now, that Mazi Chika Edoziem headed IPOB Directorate Of State(DOS), being the highest decision making body in IPOB, will automatically and without delays, be at the helm of IPOB affairs.

No sincere and truly devoted individual is currently happy in this struggle for Biafra Restoration, considering the rigours the Biafrans have been subjected to in this fight for freedom, and which will evidently continue to be the case, until Biafra is eventually freed. But something dawn to all true members of IPOB is that freedom fight has a process that involves diverse sufferings, trials and persecutions, not enjoyment. And it is why I am sure that IPOB will not take it lightly with any person who tries to mess up the rigorous efforts being made to restore Biafra. 

This efforts of IPOB towards Biafra restoration is driven by the fact that since creation of Nigeria, Biafrans have never been politically included. We have only been victimised, using some few political Stooges of Biafra extraction. Biafraland and all that is rooted on her(both home and abroad) have been marginalised, without exception.

The above stated facts are why Nnamdi Kanu instituted a well formidable leadership  to ably pilot the affairs of IPOB, unto eventual freedom of Biafra. 

It is therefore noteworthy that any brother of Nnamdi Kanu, family members or friends can only engage with people within or outside Biafraland in talks about Nnamdi Kanu on behalf of their family, not on behalf of IPOB or Biafrans. It is also remark-worthy that nobody or group of people outside the IPOB leadership(DOS) represents and/or speaks for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on issues of Biafra. The only permitted person/body that speaks for Nnamdi Kanu is the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) through her only leadership, the Directorate Of State, ably headed by Mazi Chika Edoziem.

I hereby aid my voice in putting every individuals, politicians, organizations national and international bodies on alert, that any of their engagements with Nnamdi Kanu's family or with any other person outside of the IPOB leadership on behalf of Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB or the entire people of Biafra is/will be as useless as a bread submerged in a very dirty water. Such engagements will only result to wasting of their time and resources, as it is not going to yield any of their desired results.

IPOB's leadership, the DOS represents and speaks for Nnamdi Kanu and the Biafrans at large. Any meeting on the behalf of Nnamdi Kanu or Biafra, without the endorsement and representation of the DOS, is simply a gathering of vultures. It can never be for the good of Nnamdi Kanu, neither is it going to be for Biafra.

Nigeria Government has been bitterly unpleased over the glaring progress the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) have made and still making on her quest to restore the sovereignty of Biafra Nation. Hence, Nigeria Government has kept on pulling all forms of blackmail strings on the peaceful Biafra restoration movement, IPOB.

 

A few weeks back, Ikedi Ohakim, a former Governor of Imo State was attacked in what is suspected to be a planned assassination, but fortunately failed as Ikedi escaped the attempt on his life.

 

If those gunmen behind the assassination plot had succeeded in killing the former Governor, Nigeria Government and her Media houses would have blamed it on IPOB. But thankfully, Ikedi lives to tell his story by himself and pointed out that IPOB had no hand in his attack, stating that it was carried out by highly trained assassins.

 

Similarly, the home of the spokesman to Coalition Of United Political Parties (CUPP), Ikenga Ugochinyere was attacked on the 14th of January by men suspected to be working for the state government. The attack led to the death of Ikenga Ugochinyere's elder brother, others and the burning of several properties, including so many cars parked in and around the compound. Had it been that Ikenga Ugochinyere did not raise an alarm when the attack was going on, or had it been that they succeeded in killing Mr Ugochinyere, they would have blamed the attack on IPOB, just to dent the spotless image of the peaceful movement.

 

Despite the IPOB's continuous distancing of herself from violence and criminality, Nigerian Government have remained hell-bent on dishing out all manner of cheap blackmails against IPOB, with the help of the sold out media houses in the county. It has been purely a case of giving a dog a bad name to kill it.

 

However, IPOB has vowed to remain peaceful in the face of all the blackmails and provocations. The movement have as well maintained that nothing can stop her quest for the total freedom of the people of old Eastern Region of Nigeria(Biafra), through a peaceful means.

We the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership and command of Mazi Nnamdi Okwuchukwu KANU condemn the recent and reckless killing of the people of Umuneke Ngor Okpala LGA by the so called Ebubeagu Security Militia collaborating with fulani terrorists and soldiers masquerading as herdsmen.

 

The way and manner Ebubeagu militia is collaborating with Fulani terrorists called herdsmen and soldiers in killing and displacing our people from their villages is getting out of hand. It is obvious that Ebubeagu was a Fulani pseudo security using Igbo coloration for the conquest of the Igbos. Ebubeagu fights along with Nigeria Security Agents and Fulani herdsmen against our people. It has never been heard or seen that Ebubeagu fought against Fulani terrorists  killing our people in Umuneke Ngor Okpala LGA or anywhere else.

 

As we can see, the states governments sponsoring this murderous Ebubeagu in Igboland are Imo and Ebonyi States  Governors who are Fulani Stooges. The contribution of Rochas Okorocha, Ifeanyi Ararume, and Emeka Ihedioha in Imo State have added in creating confusion and insecurity in Imo State because of their political interests and differences. The people of Ngor Okpala LGA and entire Igbo land  should be ready to defend themselves because the agenda of the caliphate using Ebebuagu and  other killer sqauds was to intimidate and humiliate Biafrans, kill and displace farming communites so that the Fulani terrorists will come and occupy the deserted communites.

 

The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma and other political juguanuts like Rochas Okorocha,  Ifeanyi Ararume, and Emeka Ihedioha in the state are responsible for the insecurity in Imo State. Their political interest and differences are fueling crisis all over Biafraland.  Each politician is working hard to please their political Masters, the fulanis, thereby endangering the lives of Biafra people in the state.

 

We are asking these men to stop using the people for their political chase and allow peace to reign. The situation of Imo State Indigenes during this unfortunate regime of Hope Uzodinma masterminded by the Caliphate judicial rascality is unimaginable. The once most peaceful and progressive state is now the shadow of herself with increased insecurity and crisis and killings.

 

The rate of killings, insecurity, and economic hardship in Imo State has never been seen since the creation of the state on  August 27, 1991, even during the military era. Every State in Biafraland is a bit safer now but we wonder why Imo State is getting more dangerous by the day because of the imposed Governor, Hope Uzodinma, a stooge of fulani caliphate is working hard to create buffer zones in the State for Fulani terrorist called herdsmen per their agreement.

 

IPOB and ESN will continue to work with the willing communites to ensure no inch of our ancestorial lands is ceded to the terrorist for whatever purpose.  The recent attacks and killings in Umuneke Ngor Okpala LGA were not for sit-at-home order, it was masterminded by Eze Ochiri Okeke of Umudara Amaifeke, who is the godfather of Ebubeagu militia in the State because he is working with Hope Uzodinma.

 

This souless traditional ruler is the man that Imo Vampire, Hope Uzodinma is using to create confusion, pandemonium, and panic in Ngor Okpala LGA and Owerri zone like he tried to do in Orlu Provence. He wants the insecurity to spread to every part of the state. He wants insecurity in Owerri zone, Okigwe zone, Orlu zone has taken their own portion of insecurity.

 

We are monitoring them. Soon, they will pay for the blood of innocent people they are wasting.

We will keep exposing and frustrating their evil connivances to Fulanize or "Rugalize" our region until Biafra Nation is restored.

IPOB and ESN are battle ready against these men and to stop these people that were causing us pains like Emeka Ihedioha, Hope Uzodinma, Rochas Okorocha and Ifeanyi Ararume as they decided not to allow our people have peace in their homes.

 

We knew our people would not understand what we are saying about these evil men and the roles they played towards this insecurity going-on in the state. Their political ambitions and interests beclouded their respective reasons to guard the interests and lives of Ndimo, they took Imo State citizen's lives for granted and they must pay for their atrocities.

Democracy is referred to as the government of the people, simply because it consists of three independent arms that operate with checks and balances. These checks and balances assigned a defined role to each arm beyond which it becomes usurpation, ultra vires or abuse of power. When this happens, what is usually left is a cold-hearted brutal dictator. 

When a matter is in court, it is a subjudice. This means that the public is prohibited from discussing such a matter so as not to influence it. But, it is on record that Mr. Buhari(the Nigerian President) has come out on several occasion, from the first illegal arrest to the current abduction of Nnamdi Kanu, to tell the media that Nnamdi Kanu will not be released. Therefore, when a president, the head of one arm of government, a powerful man that holds all the executive leverages cites bogus claim in a legal matter involving a citizen, it shows intent to steamroll, strong-arm and intimidate. It is a clear display of unwillingness to allow the law be interpreted without bias.

In the month of May this year, 2022, during a visit to Ebonyi state, President Muhammadu Buhari in a meeting he had in Abakaliki with political leaders of the Eastern region(Biafraland), told those leaders that the court will determine the fate of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB).

It can also be recalled that late Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, a nonagenarian, traveled so long distance of Anambra to Abuja, with a poor health condition, in the company of other elders to meet with Buhari in quest for the release of Nnamdi Kanu as a last wish of the late Elder Statesman(Chief Amaechi). As with the Abakaliki meeting, these elders demanded for the second time for Mr. President to release Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafran youths held illegally in various detention camps across the country. And President's reply was that "the court will determine their fate".

There is always a danger when a president whose history at judicial compliance or proclivity for court abuse promised that the court will “determine”. The real question would be: is it the independent court or a rubber stamp Court; a Court of his fantasy which would be an extension of the executive arm?

As it stands now, the big question which Muhammadu Buhari needs to answer is whether the court is still in charge of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's case or has he and his government taken over the judiciary? This last question is especially important, given the order from many Courts of competent jurisdiction, including a Federal High Court and an Appeal Court, discharging and acquitting Nnamdi Kanu, even awarding damages and mandating Nigerian government to return him to Kenya where he was abducted. What is even jaw dropping is that after the Appeal Court judgement, suddenly the three brave judges were transferred and replaced by shopped judges who did as instructed by granting a stay of execution. 

There is an impending danger to a society when a president is refusing to obey a court order that did not go the way he wanted. When a president is citing National Security as a reason for not obeying a court order to release a “self determination” activist, but rather extends the same gesture to known terrorists Boko Haram and bandits, then he is called out for what he is: a dictator. Dictatorship is a danger because it breeds chaos. When citizens cannot be guaranteed equal justice, they resort to self help; rebellion becomes an act of patriotism. 

So, the world knows that the court has quashed all the allegations against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the court said he committed no offence. In addition, a United Nations Working Group’s opinion also sides with Nnamdi Kanu; requesting that he be released this December as a deadline.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not in DSS prison because he committed any offence. He is still in prison today because he is hated by Nigeria, APC and Muhammadu Buhari.
