Any Shackle On Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is A Shackle On Ndi-igbo (Part 2)

Any Shackle On Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is A Shackle On Ndi-igbo (Part 2)

Just a few years ago, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was at it, dishing out warnings over and again. He saw the dangers ahead and wanted a safe exit for his people, but Igbo Governors, Senators and all others who had a stake at the corrupt government of Nigeria, called him names. They trivialized his words as blabs. Now, his predictions are coming true. The complete disregard and undermining of the entire Igbo race is staring us in the face. The insult on Igbo traditional rulers who went to Abuja to witness the court proceedings and perhaps, say one or two encouraging words to their son, the Ohamadike, is unprecedented.

Did you not see what happened in the Abuja Federal High Court? First, they threw his lawyers out of the courtroom which to me, signifies a gauntlet being thrown down at Ndi-Igbo, asking what can we do? Secondly, the judge adjourned the case. It is not in doubt that the judge, Justice Binta Nyako, has been compromised and she is playing the script prepared by the same hands that hold Ndi-Igbo by their balls. Yes, the terrorist government of Nigeria! You do not have to strain your ears to hear the drumbeat of jihad. In fact, it is deafening. And now, it comes with a rhythm which no longer harbors any pretenses.

Ndi-Igbo, it is time we dance to another tune. It is time we grab the bull by the horns. The federal government of Nigeria is now a bloodsucking and terrorist government of the Fulanis. They have got the Nigerian military and an arsenal of weapons and logistics at their disposal. They are plotting to kill your best son, the Ohamadike of Igboland. Your silence is all they needed to carry out this criminal plot. Even now, the Nigerian army and the Fulani terrorists are carrying out genocidal onslaught in Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi, Abia, Enugu, Rivers States and everywhere else that Igbos reside in Nigeria.

Where are the international personalities of Igbo stock? This is the time to put your megaphone to the test; the time to rescue your people. Charity they say, begins at home. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, stand up for your people. You cannot talk world economics when your people are being slaughtered in their numbers. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, shout now and fill the seminar desks with your tears, with your pains, and all your repressed emotions.

And all other great Igbos whose names I do not know, rise up now, sing, write, speak and infect the world with your pains, the pains of the Igbos. Show them the slaughters. As you know, your relentless knocks on the doors of the world powers make certain, the liberation of Igbos from a terrorist infiltrated government of Nigeria that has sworn to destroy them.

Finally, I hail the Eastern Security Network (ESN), for their gallantry. And in the same breath, call upon our guerrilla warriors to action. You once promised that you will never allow them take over Igboland. What are you still waiting for? What you see as rivers on Igbo streets are actually the innocent blood of our people. Most importantly yet, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu must be rescued now than later.

Biafra: Possibilities Of Getting It Fastly Actualized

Biafra: Possibilities Of Getting It Fastly Actualized

Since 2015 when I joined the great movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), and started listening to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (the IPOB leader) via his radio broadcasts on Radio Biafra, I have not for ones seen any of his decisions, steps or advices, running contrary to the Biafra restoration objective. All his ideas, steps and intentions have remained untainted, and have added together to bringing the struggle, to the limelight.

Likewise, whenever in the moments that we presently are, the IPOB Directorate of States (DOS) has to supervise the day to day running of affairs of the organization, pending Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's release. Its decisions have remained uncompromisable, according to the directives and guidelines that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had laid down, which are meant to speed up the peaceful restoration of the nation of Biafra.

This single understanding has made me to personally see it wise to always adhere to the instructions of the DOS, because Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (the Biafra restoration mantle bearer) has shown them the road, better than anyone else in the Biafra restoration project. Let us therefore, always work submissively with whoever that is in charge of the IPOB leadership at all levels, so long as the person is leading in accordance with those IPOB modus operandi instituted by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, himself.

I have of course, kept wondering how some persons could be claiming to be disciples of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB family members and yet be comfortably disobeying those that the IPOB leader, has practically commissioned to take charge in his absence. I have just been imagining how possible it could be for one to be against the rules, regulations and principles of IPOB and yet be claiming to be for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. How would you be going against those whom Kanu has instructed to supervise things whenever on his behalf and still be working for the release of Mazi Kanu from detention? Let us come together, obey and work with the DOS, for the faster release of our and for the betterment of Biafra. Let us always know that every instruction of the Directorate of State (DOS) is also the instruction of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. If you fail to keep those orders, you have expressly disobeyed IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

The foundation of IPOB is soildly built. And despite the shakings, the foundation still remains. If we have this far listened, obeyed and followed all the decisions and directives of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu when he was around with us and equally that of the DOS even in his absence, I believe it will be much better for us and the restoration of our beloved nation Biafra will definitely come faster.

Any Shackle On Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is A Shackle on Ndi-Igbo (Part 1)

Any Shackle On Mazi Nnamdi Kanu Is A Shackle on Ndi-Igbo (Part 1)

The truth must be told no matter how deep and scary it sounds. When the truth is usually told, everything else falls in its right place . As it's going on with Ndi-Igbo (Igbo people) as fact  that a shackle on Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's hands is a shackle on the hands of all Igbos, which is beyond the political shenanigans and long drawn out legal quagmire, a great symbolism of his detention, of course represents —Igbos in chains.

The Fulani-controlled Nigerian government is fully aware that the Igbo elders and politicians have sealed their mouths with money. The freedom of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu became somewhat difficult. The Fulanis are tacitly delaying his bail through unnecessary court adjournments. The same Fulanis believe strongly that as long as they have Nnamdi Kanu locked up, they are playing the devil with Ndi-Igbo and that truth would not be known as we people no longer pamper words around the ongoing genocide in Igboland.

Regrettably, some Igbos do not buy the idea that genocide is gradually taking place in the land, so they glory in their alternative theory ---the denial of the obvious. They feel that there is nothing to the game that Buhari government is playing on Ndi-Igbo other than tribal politics. They also believe it will fizzle out as soon as Buhari leaves office. This group of Igbos see things from a short time perspective and seem pretty economical with the truth, with no desire to see themselves in many Igbo families who are directly affected by the air bombardments, indiscriminate shootings and killings by the members of the Nigerian military.

For another group of Igbos, the struggle for the restoration of Biafra seems alien and somewhat unrealistic, since they are yet to determine whether the new nation being fought for, holds more promise for them than the failed Nigerian state. They are only concerned with their pocket book and give no pin for the illegal detention of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or the struggle, with the feeling that, they are well-off. Unfortunately, they are in this state of mind largely because they have never had the real taste of freedom and when they do, they will surely wish it does come much earlier.

Similarly, some other Igbos swing between decisions, being fearful of the unknown and would prefer to sit on the fence than to take the field. What they lack sadly, is the sense of time and place, for if they really know the time and where Nigeria is headed, they will know that the more Ndi-Igbo delay and hope for the triumph of the better angels of Nigeria, the more they will put their heads in a noose.

The drama and the injustice that have so far played out in the courtroom, was enough to trigger off righteous indignation for the time the process lasted. The atmosphere in the courtroom was odd and very suspicious, the communications were such absorbed, as they were in codes ominously indicated body languages, the kind that give breath to horror; even send the whirlwind on a deathly cruise around town and draw down a torrential rain of cataclysmic stock.

As you read this article, there is a bill in the Nigerian Senate proposing "hanging" as the punishment for hate speech and you know, it became a hate speech when you attack a corrupt government or its destructive policies, evidenting it's  way of blotting out freedom of speech. It's really an attack on humanity for speech restrictions,  preponderance of the Fulanis in the Nigerian Senate. This bill is likely to pass and then, it will be used against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Now kindly capture  the glimpse of the secrecy behind the frequent adjournment of his court case and the adjustments to the charges against him.

Ndi-Igbo, it's all coming down to the wire. The night grumbles with impatience and darkness is fast approaching. So we must find the black goat at once. Seeing, they say, is believing but in this frail and unfaithful times, believing is seeing. And this paradox could not be more useful now that the tail wags the dog. Ndi-Igbo, Ndi-Igbo, there could not be a better time than now to believe that caution is an action word. Then let us apply caution.

Nnamdi Kanu Trial: A government That Has Evidence Against An Accused will Not Engage in Media Trial

Nnamdi Kanu Trial: A government That Has Evidence Against An Accused will Not Engage in Media Trial

Pay attention, you will observe the common ingredient between a cheating partner and a rebellious child. What they have in common is the tendency to regularly lie. The whole effort of trying to cover the previous lie with another one makes them nervous. If you pay attention, you will observe it. Compare that with the easy composure of a guiltless conscience. How comfortable they are, how at peace, and without a struggle at remembering what to say or has been said.  At the center of the argument is the nature of a Fulani to lie for a living. Whether it is about the real reason behind the outdated movement of cattle from place to place or the demand for indigenous people's ancestral land also known as RUGA.

This is more evident with the rush to the media to dish out lies for a case already in court by one Abubakar Malami, a Fulani. The only way to cover a lie is through more lies. In the case of the illegal abduction in Kenya, it is through bribery and threat of violence that the big lie, about how Mazi Nnamdi Kanu ended in the custody of the Department of State Security or DSS, can be covered. A Buhari administration needed to get rid of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Why didn’t they kill him, for at least 8 days that nobody knew his whereabouts, after abduction? It is the fear of IPOB and the need to lie to the international community about how IPOB is a terrorist organization and not Boko Haram. The massive international support IPOB enjoy and the disagreement between the Fulani controlled Nigerian government and the international community on the classification of IPOB are what energizes Nigerian government media lies.

The bedrock of every democracy is the existence of three equal co-branches of government to ensure checks and balances. A government that has evidence against an accused will not engage in media laundry or trial. It will not seek war but will gladly present her case before the court. Since self-determination is a right subscribed to by every known law, since self-determination is a political opinion, since referendum is a valid democratic demand, the Nigerian government is afraid it has no case against Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Nobody has to be abducted and imprisoned for seeking self-determination. No one has to even be brought before a court for having a different political opinion. The formidability of IPOB, in assembling credible and competent legal team, is making Nigeria lose sleep. Hence, the only option available to a government that comes to equity with an unclean hand is fabrication of a baseless allegation to discredit IPOB. That is not a winning option.

Having taken delivery of the twelve (12) A29 Tucano jets, one does not need a future seer to know where a Buhari administration will urgently prefer to use them. The court cases in Washington, Nairobi, Abuja or Umuahia will give them neither the urgency nor the victory they sought, hence the provision of other threatening options. The resort for options that are not legitimate is an indication of an underdog mindset. It is not a winning mindset. From the time of creation, the Nigerian government has engaged in one unknown this or that. Whether it was the killing of Fela’s mother, the killing of #EndSars protesters or most recently the sacking of villages and the destruction and death left behind. And like a cheating partner or a rebellious child, they continue to lie thinking that somehow they will sound believable and get away with their crime. The masses are not stupid, neither are the international community.

"Repression is the only tool known to the Nigerian government"

Is a new conflict looming between Nigeria and Biafra Nation?

  ARNE GILLIS.  NOVEMBER 16, 2021

Human rights groups warn of an escalation of the conflict in southeastern Nigeria.  Groups that campaign for regional independence gain momentum there. The government responds with excessive force.  "Repression is the only tool known to the Nigerian government." At least 115 civilians have died in the southeast in the past four months, according to Amnesty International.  The human rights organization speaks of "a whole series of human rights and international law violations".  The Nigerian army is said to have been guilty of massacres, torture and mass arrests since January this year. Videos that can be seen on social media are accordingly.  The atrocities, while not always confirmed, are spread all the more, especially among Nigerians in the diaspora.  In Nigeria itself, Twitter has been blocked since June.

  Decades of dissatisfaction

Separatists in the south-east of the country, also known as Biafra, have been dissatisfied with the Nigerian government for decades.  An estimated one million people died during the Nigeria-Biafran War between 1967 and 1970. The main ethnic group in Biafra, the Igbo, consider the war to be genocide by the Nigerian government.  According to her, it was a deliberate attempt to ethnically cleanse the country.  These largely undigested feelings play out again today.

An estimated one million people died during the Nigeria-Biafran War between 1967 and 1970.

The Igbo feel discriminated against.  "If you want to study as an Igbo, for example, you have to have much better grades for admission than a Yoruba or a Hausa," says Chris Uzuegbu, who spoke to MO for the interview.  came to Brussels from Duisburg *.  "As an Igbo, you encounter this type of discrimination everywhere: in education, in the judiciary, in political representation and so on."

Uzuegbu represents the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the leading advocate for a new independent state in West Africa: Biafra. In December 2020, the IPOB established an armed branch, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).  Since then, tensions with the Nigerian government have increased and threaten to escalate into a full-blooded war.

In response to the establishment of the ESN, the Nigerian army marched into the city of Orlu earlier this year.  There were several civilian casualties.  With ongoing state terrorism, the Nigerian government is driving Southeast residents straight into the hands of separatists.

In June, IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu was arrested in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.  According to most of the Nigerian media, Kanu, also a British citizen, is in solitary confinement and is being tortured.  Kanu is charged under the Terrorism Act.  The trial should take place in January.

 Made up land

It is another crisis for the Nigerian government under President Muhammadu Buhari.  Jihadists from Boko Haram are present in northern Nigeria.  And elsewhere in the country other groups advocate independence, sometimes for ethnic reasons, but sometimes for economic reasons.  In addition, parts of the country are being torn apart by conflicts between nomadic shepherds and farmers.

  "Nigeria should never have existed."

According to IPOB representative Uzuegbu, the root of the problem lies in the colonial days when Nigeria fell under British rule.  Since then, the problems have worsened exponentially.  “Nigeria is an invented country, drawn along colonial lines.  It should never have existed, "says Uzuegbu.

Regionalism in Nigeria: "If we don't get Biafra, everyone will die"

“The Nigerian state is nothing more than a means of self-enrichment.  What we want is self-management so that we can make our own decisions.  IPOB is ready for dialogue and actually wants to organize a referendum, but the Nigerians consistently refuse to enter into a dialogue with us. "

  "Analogous to Boko-Haram"

Instead of repression, President Muhammadu Buhari seems to be thinking.  Between 1983 and 1985 he was once a military dictator in his country.  The tried and tested method of suppressing social discontent in Nigeria is to arrest the instigator and sow sufficient terror among the supporters.  A recipe that has remained unchanged for many years, but now seems to have reached its limits.

This is what the story of Boko Haram teaches, for example.  At the turn of the century, this was still a small local group studying a mystical form of Islam.  They were radicals who did not believe in the theory of evolution, but who in themselves did not harm anyone.

Until 2009, an incident involving army units over wearing motorcycle helmets exploded.  A gun battle ensued in which several Boko Haram members were killed.  The leader, Mohamed Yusuf, was arrested and publicly executed at Maiduguri Police Station later that day.

In the meantime, Boko Haram has become the deadliest terrorist group in the world, whose name terrifies many West Africans.  Nigerian repression seems to have given birth to a monster.

IPOB and Boko Haram may be miles apart when it comes to gates, but Uzuegbu also sees a parallel.  "The only answer the government knows is repression," it sounds.  “Just as Boko Haram got stronger after the repression, so will we.  In any case, we will continue to fight for independence. "

  Sharpened knives versus dialogue

With the founding of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), the knives also seem to be sharpened on the IPOB side.  The Nigerian government regards the ESN as a paramilitary organization.

"If the government cannot create a safe environment for its citizens, you must ensure that security yourself."

But for Uzuegbu the cards are different.  He does not deny the existence of the ESN, but calls it a necessary evil.  “The state is not fulfilling its duty to create a safe environment for its citizens.  If the government does not do this, it is up to you to provide this security yourself.  That's exactly what ESN does. "

The Nigerian government has accused the ESN of having killed police officers and soldiers and burned down police stations and prisons.

A dialogue with the central government seems out of the question.  And while most state governors are dissatisfied with Buhari's leadership, it has rarely been openly criticized.  "If you make it to governor, you owe the president," says Uzuegbu.  All of this means that the governors of the Biafra states, often Igbo themselves, do not speak out on the desirability of an independent Biafra.

Meanwhile, growing demands for Biafran's independence threaten to trigger ever more brutal repression.  It remains to be seen what effects this will have on the Nigerian state, which is fragile at the seams.

Biafra: Be Obedient To Instructions And Be A Good Follower

Biafra: Be Obedient To Instructions And Be A Good Follower

Any adherent of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his radio Biafra broadcasts, will really agree with me that he has been consistent with the plans and actions that will yield only the restoration of Biafra. Eversince 2015 that I joined the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), I started listening to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his radio broadcasts, I have not for one day seen of his decision, step or advice that is contrary to the restoration of Biafra. All his ideas, steps and advices are bar none.

After his abduction and extraordinary rendition from Kenya, the Directorate of States (DOS), took over the leadership affairs of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). From their decisions, one will clearly see that all are according to the directions and instructions of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu  which are for both the benefits of Biafrans and the faster restoration  of the Biafran nation.

Members of the DOS have strickly.followed the fundamental ideology and the ultimate goal of IPOB and the leader, Mazi Nnamdi.  It would only be wise to always adhere to the instructions of the IPOB leader or DOS because if you ask me, I would say that they know the road better than we do, having laid down the foundation of the struggle and clearly defined the roadmaps. Let us always work with whoever is in charge of IPOB leadership as far as the person is in consonance with IPOB's modus operandi as instituted by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

I just wonder how one will be claiming to be a disciple of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and yet be disobeying those he put in charge of the affairs of the organization. I am just imagining how possible it will be for you to be against the rules, regulations and ordinances of IPOB but claim to be for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. How would you like to be going against those whom he has already put in charge in his absence and yet you claim you are working for the release of Mazi Nnamdi.

It will only be wise for us to come together, obey and work with DOS for the faster release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and for the betterment of Biafra and Biafrans. We must always know that every instruction of the DOS are also the instructions of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and if you fail to keep those orders, you have equally disobeyed IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

From the look of things you will notice that the foundation of IPOB is solidly built on the rock and that is why many people have tried to shake the foundation but to no avail. If we listen, obey and follow all the decisions of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the DOS, I believe it will be easier for us to achieve Biafra faster than anyone can ever imagine.

Biafra: DOS Diplomatic approach and the need for Understanding and Support

Biafra: DOS Diplomatic approach and the need for Understanding and Support

It is really laughable to hear those that ought to have known better, assume and equally deceive others through their statements, that a call for a referendum, is an outright invitation for war. This is annoyingly wrong and is bereft of sincerity. It is necessary to state here that the legitimate demand for a referendum by any people, which is a purely democratic approach globally practiced, cannot be a call for war, as being deceitfully floated by the Nigerian government.

After every war, comes definitely, a round table discussion, which Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been advocating for. It is the only viable framework through which concerned parties have to peacefully converge round a discussion table, to proffer the needed solution on the best way forward. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have consistently been pushing over the years, for the independence of the nation of Biafra via viable means as recommended and required by the laws of the United Nations which Nigeria is a significant signatory to.

But instead of paying civilized attention to this demand, the Nigerian government has persistently responded with heavy handedness through random arrests, detentions, maimings and killings of Biafran agitators. Now, they have disappointedly understood that guns, boots and bullets cannot extinguish the Biafran ideology and so have no other choice than to agree on a round table discussion or better still, a political solution which is the only civilized approach even in a democracy. One does not have to sit on a plateau to discuss the issues of referendum but rather, to humbly converge and sit round a table to sincerely and meaningfully deliberate on this very important subject of a referendum, regional government, unity or even total separation. This is what is called a political solution.

Before this political solution will take effect, the arrow heads of independence agitations in the persons of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho for Biafra and Ododuwa nations respectively, must have to be unconditionally freed from incarceration. This is the first step to take in pursuit of an unbiased political solution because they cannot be in chains and be dialoguing. As IPOB lawyers rightly said, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will lead in the discussions for a political solution and this cannot sail while in chains. The recent cancellation of sit-at-home protests by the IPOB leadership after much plea by elders, traditional rulers, religious and political leaders, has again proven that IPOB is not a terrorist organization.

This body is open for any meaningful political solution that will birth the aspiration and wishes of the Biafran people either continued Nigeria, regional government or outright separation. It is really annoying to note that some Biafrans have joined the external forces to fight the IPOB leadership in their decisions. It is important to get fully reminded that every decision so far taken by the Directorate of State (DOS) of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is just only for the best interest of the Biafran people. The decisions may be painful sometimes, but this DOS which Mazi Nnamdi Kanu himself thoughtfully constituted, will never ever disappoint or compromise the interests of Biafrans. Though no one could be denied the right of criticism but such has to be constructively helpful and encouraging.

At this critical time, all that the IPOB leadership needs, is undivided support and encouragement and not destructive criticisms which some have very unfortunately, embarked on.
