Vindictive Circus: The Untold Power Tussle Between Justice Binta Nyako And Chief Judge Tsoho

Vindictive Circus: The Untold Power Tussle Between Justice Binta Nyako And Chief Judge Tsoho

It is already public knowledge that after the willful recusal of justice Binta Nyako from the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu - the leader of IPOB on 24th September 2024 and subsequent revert of the casefile to the Chief Judge office, the Nigerian Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, John Terhemba Tsoho has reassigned the case to her office with the reason that too many judges has been recused from the case and Mrs Nyako has become the most 'experienced Judge' with regards to her familiarity and precedence over the case for a very long period of time.

This is obviously a breach to the interest of both Mrs/Justice Nyako and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who came to the final realization and understanding that their path and fate in the years-long legal altercation has come to conclusive or rather subjective end and both parties must move on, and let the other seek remedy and peace from some other sources.

From all indications, it is safe to say that Mrs Nyako would be the most elated person on earth after the event turnout of September 24th 2024. The recusal plea of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was a mere formality to actualize her dream and aspirations to hands off the case that has placed her in a very dicey political tussle between a conflicting state actor vs semi-state actor. Where her career, family and their well-being were placed as factors of immense consideration while she discharged her "lady justice" duties. The corruption case of her son and husband became her Achilles' heel, as she is forced to do the bidding of the Federal government in return for their assured safety and protection from exposure and merciless prosecution.

Nevertheless, this seemingly joyous momentous relief for Mrs Nyako was cut short, as the federal government through the medium of the Federal High Court Cheif Judge - her direct superior - returned the case file to her desk. The Federal government appears to have no other strategy to apply with the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB movement under his leadership other than to blackmail their way out. Sadly yet laughably so.

Suffice to say, that there exists an internal rift between Mrs Nyako and Mr Tsoho which has also been ascertained of playing a significant role in this vindictiveness and insistence of the federal government against Mrs Nyako to continue manning, and stemming the tide in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the Nigerian government.

The story goes way back from 2016 when Mr Tsoho was transferred from the Lagos Federal high Court division to the Abuja division. Family Writers Press International learnt.

His transfer in Federal high Court field of the FCT, Abuja was designed by the former president, Muhammadu Buhari and its sole aim was to facilitate the speedy conviction of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu whom had been arrested in Lagos the previous year (2015) and whom had been subsequently cleared of any guilt and discharged by Justice Ademola, a resolution the Nigerian state secret police, Department of States Services, at the behest of executive orders from the president refused to comply with.

Our source revealed that Justice Tsoho in exchange for his emergency uprooting from his juicy position in Lagos, where he enjoyed in luxury vied and struck a deal with the Attorney General of the Buhari's administration, Abubuakar Malami for the position of the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court Abuja as a compensation for the tedious task in question - to ensure Nnamdi Kanu is officially and legally put behind bars. And this was irrespective of his lower ranking to his superior, Mrs Nyako who was already in the bench and expectedly was to become the next Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

Mrs Binta Nyako reportedly protested against the move as that was against protocol, yet to no avail. Coupled with the fact her promotion to the Supreme Court of appeal has been withheld a number of times. In addition, with regards to the corruption case of her husband and son, her possible transfer to her home state - Adamawa State - to become the state Chief Judge was foiled and resisted with a plethora of signed petitions.

Eventually, after the death of Justice Kafarati who was responsible for the proscription and outlawing of IPOB in Nigeria and gave the Nigeria military the leverage to move on with their extrajudicial crackdown against unarmed civilians and agitators of the IPOB movement. John Tsoho was elevated to become Chief Judge of the Federal High Court against the very orderly protocol set by the Nigerian judiciary system which would have rightfully placed Binta Nyako at the successor's position.

This bitterness and vindictiveness against Mrs Nyako by the powers that be, turned her into a mere vassal or rather an unconscious lackey. This explains why she honorably concurred with the recusal request of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and why the case was immediately reverted back to her.

Justice Binta Nyako is not only being blackmailed by the Nigerian government with the unruly records of her family members but has also become a hostage in the hands of the state. The swift reversion of the case to her desk can be deduced to be a subtle threat behind the scene by the government to compel her to fall in line or face further consequences.

This also explains why since after September 24th 2024, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has been kept out of reach from the outside world including his legal representatives. The government is doing everything possible to inflict punishment for the embarrassment which they received as a result of the events of that day.

It must be stated that not only has Mrs Nyako's family been marked for total destruction, but also her career has been set up a sacrificial lamb for the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Whether the federal government succeeds or not does not really matter. An expendable has been selected to take the fall and all attempts made by the selected to save themselves will be fiercely resisted.

How the case will go from here is left to be seen. What we do know is that the IPOB movement has declined interest and confidence in the Nigerian judiciary system and events like this are self-evident enough to explain why such position is needed. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will not get justice from a judiciary manipulated at will and seamlessly by the federal government and the manipulating signatures can be brazenly seen. The Biafra case for self-determination including the release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be resolved via a political solution. This is a reality all and sundry must get acquainted with.

Ethnic Profiling in Nigeria: The Igbo Struggle for Survival Amid Targeted Harassment

Ethnic Profiling in Nigeria: The Igbo Struggle for Survival Amid Targeted Harassment

One of the most pressing issues facing Nigeria today is the persistent ethnic profiling and targeted persecution of the Igbo people. The Igbo, one of Nigeria’s major ethnic groups, are widely known for their entrepreneurial spirit and resilience, but they have also been victims of deep-seated animosity and discrimination within the country. Ethnic profiling against Igbos has become increasingly visible in the years following Nigeria’s civil war and has escalated to a point where many Ndigbo(Igbo People) have come to question their place in the Nigerian state. These experiences of harassment and marginalization are central to the ongoing call for the restoration of Biafra, the Igbo homeland.

While proponents of a unified Nigeria might dismiss the demands for Biafra as mere political posturing, a closer look at the everyday lives of the average Igbo reveals a pattern of institutionalized ethnic profiling and systemic injustice. It is no longer a question of political disagreements or regional tensions; the Igbo struggle is now rooted in their fight for survival in a nation that seems to see them as outsiders.

Igbo youths have been among the most visible targets of ethnic profiling. In several instances across the country, they have been rounded up by security forces, accused of being agitators or criminals based on nothing more than their ethnicity. The Nigerian government's treatment of young Igbos, particularly those with ties to freedom fighting movements like the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) has become synonymous with blanket repression and collective punishment.

For example, during periods of political unrest or when there are protests demanding the release of IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, Igbo youths are often arbitrarily detained and massacred, many of them not even involved in the protests.

Simply being a young Igbo man in certain regions of the country automatically places you under suspicion. This has led to widespread fear among the Igbo, with many parents warning their children to avoid certain public spaces or political gatherings to avoid being falsely labeled as insurgents or agitators.

In many instances, these youths are detained without trial, with no charges brought against them. Their detentions, which sometimes last months or even years, highlight the degree to which ethnic profiling has become a weapon used to suppress the Igbo people. The message from the state seems to be clear: any show of Igbo pride or solidarity will be met with suspicion and force.

The economic success of the Igbo people has been both a blessing and a curse. Igbos are renowned for their entrepreneurial acumen, dominating trade, industry, and commerce in various parts of the country and world at large. However, this success has often made them targets for harassment by government officials and regulatory bodies. From Lagos to Abuja, Igbo traders and businesspeople are regularly subjected to excessive taxation, unnecessary delays in clearing goods, and trumped-up charges of smuggling or trading substandard products.

In many cases, the harassment appears to be motivated not by genuine concerns over business practices but by ethnic prejudice. It is not uncommon to hear stories of Igbo traders being raided by customs officers or local authorities under the guise of enforcing regulations, only to discover that their goods were perfectly legal. Yet, even after proving their innocence, these traders often face lengthy legal battles or lose significant income due to the disruption of their businesses.

The 2020 case of Igbo traders in Lagos who were accused of importing substandard goods is a prime example. Despite meeting all regulatory requirements, they were detained, and their goods seized without cause. It was only after a public outcry and the intervention of advocacy groups that the authorities were forced to release them, but the damage had already been done. This kind of economic sabotage serves as a clear indication that ethnic profiling extends beyond law enforcement into other sectors of society, with devastating effects on the livelihoods of innocent people.

Another disturbing example of ethnic profiling comes in the form of the frequent targeting of Igbos at police and military checkpoints. While checkpoints are meant to ensure the safety and security of all Nigerians, they have become hotspots for ethnic discrimination, particularly against Igbos. Reports of harassment, unlawful searches, and demands for bribes are common, with many Igbo travelers reporting that they are singled out more often than individuals from other ethnic groups.

The experience of being stopped at a checkpoint can be humiliating and frustrating for many Igbo people. It often begins with excessive questioning, followed by invasive searches of personal belongings, vehicles, and sometimes even homes. For Igbo men and women, the mere fact of traveling through regions outside their home states can turn into a traumatic ordeal. A trip meant to last a few hours can extend to days of detention if a suspicious security officer decides to single them out.

In the northern and western parts of Nigeria, Igbos are especially vulnerable to this kind of profiling. Travelers are often detained on flimsy grounds, such as possessing Biafran flags or other symbols of Igbo identity. In such instances, the assumption is that anyone who associates with the Biafran cause must be guilty of sedition or insurrection, regardless of whether they have broken any laws. The entire Igbo identity, then, is reduced to one of rebellion and disloyalty to Nigeria.

The ethnic profiling of Ndi Igbo is not limited to social or economic spheres; it also extends to the political realm. For decades, the Igbo people have been systematically marginalized from the highest levels of power in Nigeria. While other ethnic groups have dominated the presidency, the vice presidency, and other key government positions, Igbo People have been left out of the country’s political decision-making process.

This marginalization has fueled the belief that the Igbo people are unwanted in Nigeria. In the political landscape, their loyalty is often questioned, and their interests sidelined. The lack of Igbo representation in national politics is not due to a lack of qualified candidates but rather a deliberate exclusion that stems from the post-civil war distrust of the Igbo people.

During the 2019 elections, for example, several reports emerged of Igbo voters being harassed and prevented from voting in parts of Lagos. In some cases, thugs were hired to intimidate Igbo residents and discourage them from participating in the election. This form of voter suppression was rooted in the belief that Igbo voters would not support the ruling party and therefore had to be excluded from the process. Such incidents highlight how deeply entrenched ethnic bias is in Nigeria’s political system.

The way Igbo people are portrayed in the media further exacerbates the problem of ethnic profiling. Negative stereotypes of the Igbo people as rebels, agitators, or troublemakers are regularly reinforced by the Nigerian media. Whenever there is a crime, riot, or unrest involving an Igbo person, their ethnicity is often highlighted, as if being Igbo inherently makes one prone to lawlessness.

This contrasts sharply with how individuals from other ethnic groups are portrayed in the media, where their ethnicity is rarely mentioned unless it serves a positive narrative. For Ndi Igbo, the media's negative portrayal serves to legitimize the discriminatory treatment they receive from the state and from society at large. It reinforces the idea that Igbos are not loyal Nigerians and that their demands for equal rights or political representation are illegitimate.

This portrayal is particularly harmful to young Igbos who are growing up in a country that seems to view them with suspicion and hostility. It plants the seed of resentment and alienation, contributing to a cycle of distrust between the Igbo people and the Nigerian state.

The ethnic profiling of Igbos is not just an isolated problem; it is a symptom of a deeper, systemic issue that has plagued Nigeria since its creation. The marginalization, harassment, and persecution of the Igbo people have led many within the community to conclude that their future cannot be secured within the Nigerian state. This sentiment is what drives the continued agitation for the restoration of Biafra.

For Ndi Igbo, the idea of an independent Biafra is not just about self-determination or cultural pride. It is about survival. They see the current Nigerian state as one that cannot protect their interests, provide them with opportunities for political representation, or allow them to thrive without discrimination. The constant targeting of Igbos by security forces, the media, and the political establishments has led to a growing sense of alienation and frustration. The Biafran movement, therefore, is seen as a response to these injustices, a way to carve out a space where Ndi Igbo can live in peace and dignity, free from ethnic profiling and persecution.

While some Nigerians may view the call for Biafra as a threat to national unity, for NdiIgbo, it represents hope. Hope for a future where they are not constantly under suspicion, where they can express their identity without fear of reprisal, and where they can build a prosperous and inclusive society. The demand for Biafra is rooted in the lived experiences of generations of Igbo people who have been treated as second-class citizens in their so called country.

Ethnic profiling against Ndi Igbo in Nigeria is not just a legal or political issue—it is a fundamental human rights violation that affects every aspect of life for the Igbo people. From arbitrary arrests to economic harassment, from political exclusion to media stereotyping, Ndi Igbo are routinely subjected to discrimination based on their ethnicity.

As long as the ethnic profiling continues, the call for Biafra Nation will continue to rise.

Uchechi Okwu-Kanu Ramps Up Pressure Over UK Govt's Adamance In Husband's Ordeal

Uchechi Okwu-Kanu Ramps Up Pressure Over UK Govt's Adamance In Husband's Ordeal

Wife to the incarcerated Leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Uchechi Okwu-Kanu has employed the founder of the Widows for Peace through Democracy [WPD] Margaret Owen, who is renowned for her participation in the momentum build-up that led to the intervention of UK government in the case of an British-Iranian national, Nazanine Ratcliffe in 2022. After she was arrested and prosecuted by the Iranian authorities on espionage charges for 6 years.

Mrs Owen in a post made on her verified Facebook page, officially confirmed the assumption of the case after the former attorney in charge of the case, Jonathan Cooper died in autumn 2021 shortly after the extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and subsequent prosecution/incarceration.

In the statement issued by Mrs Owen, she lamented the adamance and negligence of the United Kingdom in the case of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, likening his case with that of the aforementioned Nazanine Ratcliffe. Accusing the Foreign company Commonwealth Development Office United Kingdom(FCDOUK) of abandoning a health-deteriorating British citizen in captivity, his traumatized wife and two sons.

"On my mind the deeply distressing plight of 56 year-old British citizen Nnamdi Okwu-Kanu , the IPOB ( Indigenous People of Biafra) leader, who in 2021 was a victim of extraordinary rendition from Kenya by the Nigerian authorities.  His unlawful unjust incarceration is causing extreme distress to his wife Uche, and his two young sons.  They are all British citizens living here, but so far the UK government is doing nothing to obtain his release and have him returned to this country where he has his home."

"Blindfolded, he was tortured for 8 days with grave consequences to his health and is now detained in the Abuja prison, denied urgently needed medicines and cardiac surgery,"  she narrates.

She revealed that the late Jonathan Cooper  brought the plight of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to her knowledge, while he was still around.  Unfortunately, he passed before he could pursue the case until its logical conclusion.

Hence, she has resolved to  "complete the mission" urging the British public to conduct simple research on the internet about Nnamdi Kanu's fight for freedom and to write their Members Of Parliament (MPs) representing their various constituencies to intervene in the case of Nnamdi Kanu being perpetually incarcerated in Nigeria.

She argued that Nnamdi Kanu is pursuing a case of self-détermination for his people adding that Amnesty International has been reached out to classify Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as a "Prisoner of Conscience" to facilitate, accelerate the process of the intervention by the UK government.

"Kanu argued for self-détermination for Biafrans, for freedom of his people, and for peace. A call has gone out to Amnesty International to adopt him as a « Prisoner of Conscience », as this would strengthen our appeal to our new Labour government, now headed by human rights lawyers, Starmer, Lammy and Kermer."

Recall that after the Supreme Appellate Court Judgment of 13th October 2022, ordering the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Amnesty International  Nigeria, in line with the yet-to-be-implemented court ruling, issued a statement calling for Nnamdi Kanu's release.

Mrs Owen surmised that if the UK government does not intervene in the case of Mr Kanu, she would have no choice but to employ same strategy which was mass-used in the demand of Nazanine this forthcoming winter: pitching tents outside the FCDO office and commencing an unending hunger strike.

Owen believes this would force the UK government to intervene in the case of Mr Kanu whom from all indications no longer has much time as he faces grave heart complications which requires immediate medical attention unlike Nazanine who spent 6 years before her release.

"Nnamdi Kanu has not got such time, given the serious state of his heart, and other problems resulting from the torture."

According to her, the hunger strike is part of a strategy package which Richard Ratcliffe spouse to Nazanine advised would be effective in the bid to ensure a timely intervention of the British government. And as such would be adopted if no meaningful progress is seen.

Strategic Silence: The Art Of Statecraft And Counter Manipulation In Biafra Restoration Project

Strategic Silence: The Art Of Statecraft And Counter Manipulation In Biafra Restoration Project

Your enemies only want you to respond to their attacks. Instead of doing that, use silence to create fear amongst them because they don't know your next move. And remember, they'll like to know and see your next move. When you reply them immediately trying to declare your innocence or revenge, you make yourself weak before them. They study you more than you could study yourself.

They'll regroup and add more fire to their attacks. They'll continue to seek your attention so as to make you expose your plans, position and might before taking you down strategically.

The enemies love attention. They want you to talk about them. They want you to be restless about how to take revenge on them. This is their art of manipulations.

However, when one understands these skills, no enemy can know your next move. When you deny them attention, you create silence. That silence created will then make them be in a disjointed position. Out of the know of your position and move. Wether you're preparing something bigger than them or not, they do not know but want to know. If there are no clues to help them navigate through to attack you the more, you place yourself in better position against them in future.

This is just an art of counter manipulations deployed by state actors to navigate through difficult times, especially during confrontational wars or ideological wars.

Sometimes, people don't understand the SILENCE exhibited by the IPOB directorate of state DOS. That is why you see some shallow minded fellows coming out to ask what is the DOS doing to free our leader. Those people are gullible to understand what is happening and why the tide tilts and what the various trajectories demand.

State actorship is not a mere politicking business. It involves more than the lay people can imagine. It is not about coming on social media handles to tell you what plans and policies will be done. It is not your regular ụmụnna meeting executive where every opinion is given time to be expressed.

By the time many understand these demanding sectors of being in charge of a Nation's welfare, such as; Diplomacy, Geopolitics, State Actor Positioning, Counter Manipulation Strategies, False Flag Operations, Proxy Infiltration, Lobbying Manipulation, Economic Policing, etc, Biafra Restoration would be far achieved.

Lately, we have seen the tide of events in Nigeria. How various groups are being organized to advise Nigerian government to listen and allow wise counsel to prevail by using current provisions provided to create room for a National Referendum for the Peoples' in Nigeria. This did not just happen out of the air, IPOB leadership advertently and inadvertently brought us all to this level of equal playing ground. These Men and Women are exceptional in statecraft. They know their onions so much that many who are cerebral enough are beginning to understand that there's actually light at the end of the tunnel.

If not the firm defiance and abhorrence to violent agitation smartly played by the DOS since this turbulent and provocative 3 years of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's illegal incarceration, there wouldn't have been anything like what you're hearing about the Nigerian polity now. Nobody would've been talking about Referendum today in Nigeria. It would have been how to stop the bombardments of Southeast region by the Nigerian military.

The DOS, tactically displayed against the backdrop of many advisories to engage in arm struggle from various quarters, their counter manipulation superiority in the art of Statecraft. Otherwise, had they taken to the path of going confrontational against the Nigerian State, behold, Southeast by now would have been in shambles. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu would have by now been jailed and IPOB lost it's legitimacy in Biafraland. Thanks to the ingenuity of the DOS.

Do not ever despise the silence of a green snake in a green grass over it's quietness, for it's tail could be it's head. Meanwhile, as our fingers are crossed and our eyes fixed on the goal, we await the Nigerian government at the junction of Referendum.

The DOS are ever wise.

Enforced Disappearance: Nigerian Military Embark On Secret Court Martial Conviction, Sentences Abducted Igbo Youths To Prisons In Northern Nigeria

Enforced Disappearance: Nigerian Military Embark On Secret Court Martial Conviction, Sentences Abducted Igbo Youths To Prisons In Northern Nigeria

The issue of enforced disappearing of citizens in Eastern Nigeria by the Nigerian forces has taken a deeply troubling dimension. And, the recent reports of the Nigerian military, especially the Nigerian Army engaging in secret court martial proceedings to convict and sentence Igbo youths abducted at various locations across Southeast to prisons in Northern Nigeria underscores the plethora of grave violation of human rights and blatant disregard to rule of law by the Nigerian Military in collaboration with the Nigeria government.

In recent months, there have been disturbing reports of enforced disappearances of hundreds of Igbo Men and Youths. These abductions are being carried out in collusion between elements of the Nigerian Military; the Army and the state secret police(DSS).

These victims, when abducted by Nigerian security forces, gets denied due process, access to family members and fundamental legal protections, while the Nigerian Military authorities continue to deny these accusations and also refuse to disclose accurate information about the fate and whereabouts of these disappeared youths held in various detention facilities in the north.

A disturbing yet reliable report gathered by Family Writers Press International, has it that the Nigerian military have begun a court martial process in the North to convict and imprison these Igbo Youths abducted and kept in secret dungeons in Northern barracks.

The report revealed that these court martial proceedings are being conducted in secret, without allowing these victims access to their own legal protection, family relations, judicial transparency or oversight. These blatant egregious acts show the unending violations of the principles of justice and the rule of law by the Nigerian military.

Moreso, investigations by Human Rights groups and eyewitness testimonies reveal that  these missing Igbo youths have been secretly moved from the South and detained at various military facilities in the North after their extra-legal abductions from the streets and highways of Southeast.

Several reliable sources revealed that the abducted youths were subsequently subjected to a sham court martial process behind closed doors. They have been summarily tried and convicted at kangaroo court-martial for fictitious crimes, with sentences ranging from 5 to 20 years imprisonment handed down to them. In a worrisome development, the convicted youths have quietly been transported and incarcerated in faraway maximum security prisons located in Northern Nigeria, far from their communities and families in the South-East. The affected families and local advocacy groups expressed shock and outrage at this brazen abuse of power and flagrant violation of legal and human rights by the Nigerian military. They accuse the Nigerian security forces of illegally detaining and disappearing the Igbo youths solely for their ethnicity in the ongoing tensions over secessionist agitations, ethni-political tensions in the country.

In a recent development, one Emeka Ngonadi (Male, 42) was kidnapped and disappeared by the personnel of the Nigerian Army on his way to Owerri from Lagos on 10th April, 2024, and was spontaneously accused of several allegations such as being a member of IPOB, participating and enabling terrorism activities in Nigeria. It was gathered after reliable investigations carried out by his legal counsel that he was moved to Wawa Army barracks in the North were he was later court-martial and sentenced to five (5) years in prison in the North without access to a legal representative or family relations.

What is most troubling about this situation is the blatant disregard for  basic human rights of these kidnapped victims involved. These abducted youths who have not been found to be involved in any illegal activities by any Nigerian court of competent jurisdiction, are being stripped of their freedoms and their dignity without any semblance of a fair trial in a court of competent jurisdiction. The fact that they are being held in prisons in the northern parts of the country, far from their family relatives, homes and communities, only adds to the  sense of isolation, mental torture and dehumanization meted on them in these faraway dungeons.

Again, the fact that Nigerian military who often times declare their loyalty to the democratic principles and to the constitution of Nigeria, to embark on these secret court-martial trials and convictions of innocent youths abducted in Southeast in a democratic dispensation, underscores the high levels of abuse of power, disregard to the principle of checks and balances, violation of the principles of rule of law, human rights and negligence to due process by the Nigerian military authorities.

The implications of this situation extend far beyond the individuals directly affected. It represents a fundamental erosion of the principles of justice and the rule of law in Nigeria, with the military and government colluding to circumvent legal protections and due process to victims of enforced disappearances. This sets a dangerous precedent that have far-reaching consequences for the country's democratic institutions and the rights of all of its citizens.

Moreover, the use of enforced disappearance as a tool of political repression is a grave violation of international human rights law. Nigeria has been countlessly found guilty of this act despite having ratified numerous international treaties and conventions that prohibit such practices.  It is incumbent upon the government to uphold these commitments and ensure that the rights of all its citizens are protected under the treaties binding on her.

In the face of these egregious human rights abuses, it is essential that the international community, as well as human rights and civil society organizations within Nigeria, speak out and demand accountability from the Nigerian military. The Nigerian government must be held responsible to account for its high-handed actions, and violation of  its citizens human rights and freedoms.

Unless the Nigerian authorities provide answers regarding the whereabouts and wellbeing of these abducted and disappeared Igbo youths languishing in various detention facilities in Nigeria, Nigeria will continue to be called out  for their failure and violations of both national and international laws protecting citizens from arbitrary detention, enforced disappearance, and the right to a fair judicial process. These undemocratic actions, such as the secret court-martial trials will continue to further undermine the trust in state institutions and fray inter-ethnic relations at a time when dialogue is needed the most. Pressure is mounting for an independent investigation and accountability of all those complicit in these injustices, especially in the Nigerian Army personnel and other security forces.

Therefore, it is advisable for the Nigerian government and military authorities to release all victims of secret court-martial trials held in the North, if Nigeria truly prides itself as a democratic country. Otherwise, if these undemocratic actions go unresolved, Nigeria will be heading to self-inflicted anarchy and subtle military takeover. The time to act wise is now.

The Faming Of Anti-Igbo Euphoria By Yoruba Maniacs Is A Welcome Development

The Faming Of Anti-Igbo Euphoria By Yoruba Maniacs Is A Welcome Development

From the era of Nigeria's antiquity [1900s] till date, the Yorubas have always viewed or regarded the Igbos as competitors of sorts. A very industrious one at that.  And, they constantly struggle to keep up with that, at least. But when they cannot afford to, they resorts to beguile their way out, in order to stay afloat or competitive by all means.

Since the days of Awolowo and Azikiwe, all the way down to the contemporary times. Evidences of this replete itself. For instance, even after the genocidal war of 1967-70 which claimed the lives of over 3.5 million Biafrans(mostly children and women), Gowon at the behest and advice of Cheif Awolowo moved to confiscate money owned by defeated Biafrans who were still licking their wounds and their homestead destroyed by a war waged by an inconsiderate array of enemies.

Giving them only £20 each, regardless of how much they owned. Then went on to immediately launch the indigenization policy in 1972 that granted he [Awolowo] his Yoruba kinsmen and the north to buy out shares of exclusive businesses which were reserved for only indegines of Nigeria, painfully at a time when Igbos were still struggling to rebuild what was destroyed amidst the infamous slogan ọf "No Victor No Vanquish". The subsequent '3Rs' standing for Reconciliation, Rehabilitation and Restructuring declared by the Gowon regime and its successives were all talk and no show. The stakeholders at the federal level were intentional about their non-commitment to its implementation.

Fast forward to 2023, after the Yorubas swindled themselves back in power and are jittery of their "Igbo competitors" again. They have resorted to stoking ethnic tensions and genocidal rhetorics against victims of genocide which is yet to be acknowledged by the world and the perpetrators. The social media pundits, trolls who are dishing out this hate and insidious speeches against a race, are mere rookies.

The Anti-Igbo euphoria is officially a domestic policy of the Tinubu's administration, and this he has demonstrated within these past 14 months of his rule, beyond every reasonable doubt.

Since the beginning of plans for national hunger protest – spearheaded by the north and key Yorubas figures – the Yoruba online pundits, state officials all the way to the seat of power have concentrated on trying to make the Igbos the bogeymen, even when the later have stated clearly their resolve of collective apathy in partaking in the nationwide protest. The aim of these Yoruba Maniacs is to keep Ndigbo, Biafrans on the defensive and to reserve and assure themselves of a punching bag, should anything go wrong or they loose to the northern oligarchy.

We are talking about a possible and potential repetition of history that led to the pogroms of 1966 which snowballed into the Biafra war. We are talking about another victimization of a victimized race.

Nevertheless, as the saying goes. Every disappointment is a blessing in disguise. The occurrences of the past 14 months have proven to every Igbo, Biafran soul that they are indeed endangered species. Not only are Biafrans target for a vile ultranationalist Fulani expansionist agenda, they have also become targets of the Yorubas and as such, the ultimate remedy is collective development of their homeland through patriotic individual contributions and, Biafra restoration.

The wisdom of the Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) movement during the past election with their non-inteference policy was the bedrock of the magic unfolding. The Tinubu's administrations blinded by their animosity played to the gallery. The Igbos are already seceding from Nigeria regions gradually, where their lives and properties are no longer guaranteed, and if this soon to commence protests – which they, Igbos have maintained their stance on ambivalence, will serve as the incentive or catalyst to fasten that process. Then, the heavens are delighted.

However, one thing enemies of Ndigbo, Biafrans who are warming up for a workout on the blood, sweat and wealth of our people know and bear in mind is this, 2024 will never be like 1966, 1967-70. Biafrans are now alive to their duties to defend their lives or they perish and they will exercise that right from henceforth.

Furthermore, there was no movement and robust institution like the IPOB movement and all it encompasses that is committed to defending the interest of Biafrans, in 1966 like we have today.

In our view, there will never be a repetition of history where Biafrans will be victims. Instead, they enemies will be forced and made to know their place and tread carefully. But hopefully, common sense and reason will prevail.

If Nigerians are tired of accommodating Biafrans  and wants to resort into killing them again in millions, they should quietly and immediately organize a referendum, followed up by an expulsion program guided by the principles of international law. Biafrans will leave as soon as possible even before they know it.

A word is enough for the wise.

A Biafran US-Based Acknowledges IPOB's State Actor Role, Says IPOB Now Government Of The Eastern Region Of Nigeria

A Biafran US-Based Acknowledges IPOB's State Actor Role, Says IPOB Now Government Of The Eastern Region Of Nigeria

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is a peaceful, nonviolent Self-determination movement, formed by it's leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, around 2012. Advocating for the exit of the Eastern region and the establishment of an independent Biafra, from Nigeria through a United Nation supervised referendum.

Over the years, IPOB's non-violent modus operandi towards Biafra Restoration has drawn criticisms and concerns from various quarters within and outside Nigeria. However, within the confines of the Eastern region of Nigeria, also called Biafraland, IPOB plays a  complex role, ranging from undertaking initiatives, ideas and implementing policies considered to bring positive contributions to the region and also making vital decisions for the overall betterment of the entire Eastern region.

Some of the change-oriented actions and policies that earned IPOB her state actor role and authority include:

1: Filling The Void On Security Of The Eastern Region.

One of the most debated aspects of IPOB's activities, is its armed wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN); a vigilante group formed by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu; charged with flushing out marauding Fulani herdsmen terrorists encroaching into the Eastern region through the forests and bushes; maiming and killing farmers and innocent residents of the region, as well as securing the safety of the region from any threat of terrorism attack by external aggressors.

With the emergence of ESN, IPOB earned itself a state actor position in the region, despite the various calls on the political leaders of the region to float a regional security outfit to wade off the terrorists herdsmen massacring innocent people in the region. Their failure and politicizing of the security of their people by the political leaders of the region, especially the 5 Southeast governors, opened the door for a nongovernmental actor to fill the gap.

The Nigerian government often accuses ESN of violent activities, labeling them as terrorist group. However, many residents of the region argue that ESN fills a security void deliberately left unattended by the Nigerian government and security agencies. Decades of neglect of the security of the people in the Southeast led to the rise in kidnappings and violence activities by criminal gangs. In some communities, ESN presence is seen as a deterrent to such terrorist activity. The people of the region view IPOB as a government of the people, for the people and by the people themselves with a massive support and high compliance to IPOB directives.

2: The DOS: A  Sophisticated Leadership Structure.

It is important to acknowledge the complexities surrounding IPOB leadership structure. Their rhetoric can be inflammatory, and their methods has never for once resulted in violence.  IPOB is a well identified peaceful movement in various parts of the world, registered in many countries in Africa, Europe, America and Asian continents without any indictment of violent activities.

The group's leadership structure is opaque, such that one can not penetrate through it, to talk of bringing it down. At various false flag operations carried out by detractors and agent provocateurs recruited by the Nigerian government against IPOB, have continued to be futile to bring IPOB leadership down to the mud.

However, violent activities were been indiscriminately leveled on ESN by the Nigerian government and security agencies especially the Nigerian Army, which were still proven null and void as IPOB continues to maintain it's peaceful agitation for referendum to have a sovereign state of Biafra.

This is made possible due to the leadership structure, where best think-tanks were assembled for administrative and governance purposes. These group of men and women of impeccable characters are the reason why the state actor position attained by IPOB has been carefully managed and not abused in the last 10 years The leadership of IPOB serve as the fulcrum to the positive changes in the Eastern region.

3: Regional Development Catalyst.

Beyond security of the region, IPOB engages in developmental policies and projects. As a state actor in the region, IPOB have attracted and contributed to the compliance, completion and startup of various abandoned, new projects in the region by Federal Government, State governments and local and foreign investors.

IPOB singlehandedly secured the forests from Fulani herdsmen terrorists, encouraged farmers in the region to go back to farming as well as improved on the food security of the region. A void left for over 40 years since after the Biafran genocide.

Recently, IPOB embarked on a vital policy action to electrify the region inorder to boost and attract industrial growth and development into the region. This is evident through their ongoing campaigns for the withdrawal and removal of incompetent, monopolistic Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC, from the region. This policy action is best understood from the positive perspective aimed at ensuring institutions charged with providing social amenities to the people of the region are held accountable and charged to provide their services to the public.

These actions address the very real needs of a region grappling with political malfunction and infrastructural challenges.  To many residents in the region, these efforts demonstrate a commitment to improving lives – a commitment they over years seen that the Nigerian government and their controlled Eastern governors lack. IPOB state actor role is  borne out of necessity.

4: Promoting Igbo Cultural Values And Preservation.

IPOB actively promotes Igbo cultural values Through organizing festivals, sponsoring educational programs, and advocating for the inclusion of Igbo language studies in schools in the region. Through IPOB's campaign of back to root, spread through several  sponsored Radio Biafra Broadcasts, a sense of identity and self-esteem were reengineered into the psyche of many Youths in the region. This however, led to many in the region embracing the Igbo cosmology and spirituality. In a globalized world, cultural preservation is an ongoing struggle, and IPOB's efforts resonate with those who fear the dilution of Igbo identity. Hence, IPOB using her state actor role, generated massive interest into culture consciousness now spreading across quarters in the region.

5: A Complex Reality

Until the restoration of Biafra, IPOB remains a major stakeholder in the affairs of the Eastern region. This reality may not go down well with some individuals and institutions, however, it is proven that when the desirable is not available, then the available becomes desirable. IPOB occupies this void position left by the Nigerian government and the governments in the region. While their methods seem to bring developments into the region, they undertake initiatives that many residents see as positive catalysts.  Ultimately, the group's future hinges on its ability to embrace non-violent means and contribute to a more democratic and prosperous sovereign state of Biafra, whether as part of the contentious Nigeria or in a truly independent and sovereign Biafra. Therefore, it doesn't matter how long it takes for anyone to deny the complex reality in Eastern region, IPOB have come to stay.

The difference is clear; IPOB is the people and the people are IPOB. A government of the people by the people and for the betterment of the people. It is empirically obvious that the people are with this government, judging from the just concluded 30th May, Biafra Heroes Day anniversary Sit-at-home, there are no second thoughts, IPOB is moving forward everyday and they will definitely get to their destination. It's just a matter time. The Nigerian government should stop being blinded with delusions and be bold to acknowledge this fact. Dialogue with this movement and conduct referendum for their peaceful exit. This is candidly wise to do.

Ex -Soldier Blasts Nigerian Government, Military, Warns the Press Against Misrepresentation, Gives Reasons For Resignation

Ex -Soldier Blasts Nigerian Government, Military, Warns the Press Against Misrepresentation, Gives Reasons For Resignation

Ex-Nigerian Special Forces Soldier, Daniel Somtochukwu who resigned from service due to the Nigerian Military/political establishment, vindictiveness towards his ethnicity(Igbos & Easterners), has accused the government and Military for terrorism on his people. He also demanded that the Nigerian press/media desists from addressing him as an active serving soldier, but an ex-Soldier.

The resigned Soldier frowned at the harmful treatment meted on his people, in contrast to the biased and favoritism towards the north and the terrorist groups emanating from there and ravaging the entire country.

According to Somtochukwu's post of X-social media, "The highest act of terrorism by the Nigeria terrorist @HQNigerianArmy against Biafra people. Now ask them, is this not terrorism of the highest order?"

Also, "Nigeria media should address me the way I addressed myself as Ex Nigerian soldier stop misquoting me make una no talk say I dey impersonate"

This comes in light of the recent and continued overwhelming military invasion of Aba, Abia state by the Nigerian Military over the killing of 5 soldiers by unknown gunmen on the Biafra 30th May Fallen Heroes Commemoration day, 2024.

The military at the orders of the Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu declared war on the Indigenous People Of Biafra whom they accused of being responsible for the attack. Though IPOB have stated unequivocally in a press statement that they are not responsible for the attack, calling it dastardly and demanded an open, public investigation into it, while on the other hand asserting that the attack was a false flag, politically motivated operation by the enemy of the Biafra struggle which it champions.

IPOB believes the attack was masterminded by enemies of the commemoration of the death of 6 million Biafrans who were genocidally massacred in the 1967-70 Biafra war, which recorded tremendous success and due compliance by residents of the SouthEast, and the Economic breakthrough of Dr. Alex Otti's Government.

Nevertheless, this has not dettered the Nigerian military from unleashing an indiscriminate abduction operations against  youths in Aba. Preliminary reports shows that well over 300 (Three Hundred) young people have been abducted, and more disappeared without trace since the 30th of May 2024.

A lady doctor resident in Lagos, but whom family resides in Aba - their ancestral home, took to X social handle and lamented how her kid brother, aged 15 was taken by the Nigerian military men from their home alongside his sister, leaving behind their bedridden 70 years old sick father unkept.

Similar stories & worse continues to emanate from Aba as days go by. Many young youths, most of whom have fled Aba metropolis to their various ancestral homes to avoid being targeted, were eventually tracked and killed.  The Nigerian military in one of such cases claimed it acted on "wrong & misleading intelligence."

The Ex-Soldier in reaction to the bogus contrast about the overwhelming Aba militarization compared to the north where terrorists of various sect are having a field day, massacring deployed soldiers and civilians alike, displacing them in droves into refugees camps, with little or no crackdown on them or the civilians there by the state and military.

He stated that he condemns the military against its actions in Aba and South East as a whole, positing that the Nigerian Military "hates and despises his people". And this was why he threw in the towel. The Ex-soldier also urge everyone else from the Eastern region who are currently rendering services to the enemy's army to follow suit.

"Over 300 people have been disappeared by the Nigerian military, yet our brothers in the military will see the evil that is been done to their people by the organization they under and they are still there , when something happens to them you will start showing pity."?, he said.

"This is Vincent omile [illustrative pictures added]15NA who died in Maiduguri under Boko Haram attack @HQNigerianArmy he wasn't even recognised and this energy that is been put in the east today wasn't put then , no benefit to the family, why the eye service in abịa state ? I grew together with him in nkpor." He added.

In many instances, Somto cited various reasons why leaving the Nigerian military was the right thing he ever did. He argued that during his time in service in the north where he was deployed, they were constantly compromised, under-armed, but then sent to confront terrorists who were for the most part, armed-to-the-teeth.

"Nigeria army have deployed troops to okigwe from the video I watched .With lots of gun trucks but I was in F.O.B 151tf bn darjamel and isis attacked our camp 2019 with up to 50 trucks if am not mistaking and we had only this gun truck I posted .The hatred on my people is alarming."

"Throughout my service in northeast I was officially given 60rounds till I left @HQNigerianArmy under the regime of maj Sani as my Oc in 151tf bn, but see the way they are busy pumping ammunition’s to kill my people in east and they want me to stand in one Nigeria 🇳🇬?

"It is only in Nigerian army that Sitrep [situation report] will come that boko haram are 5km ahead of our camp instead of the officer in charge to order the mortar platoon to engage them when he knows there’s no ammunition in camp to fight they will ask us to be on red alert. Youths should wake up, Isn’t that suspicious? Our youths should stop being used, our Biafra youths should know the games going on in the military that made me quit. It takes the grace of God and being sensible before you will get to your senses and reason about the things happening."

Is only in Nigerian army that Sitrep will come that boko haram are 5km ahead of our camp instead of the officer in charge to order the mortar platoon to engage them when he knows there’s no ammunition in camp to fight they will ask us to be on red alert .youths should wake up.

Continuing, he said, The family of his young friends and colleagues who fell fighting the terrorists  were never taken care of. Some of these friends, he claimed never got to take their first abysmal salary but were tragically killed by the terrorists. And even the salary of the current servicemen is nothing to write home about."

"The soldier that I posted last time that was striked by IED [illustrative pictures added] didn’t actually died of the IED but died because they left him helplessly and bleeding killed him ,our youths should stop joining organization that doesn’t value their live and wellbeing."

"A day to remind you youths that a soldier was killed by boko haram that made his closest buddy cried and the @HQNigerianArmy didn’t retaliate so hard and no benefits to the soldiers family but they are busy killing my people in Biafra land."

Somto also added that most of people in the military are disgruntled, and knows he is speaking the truth but are scared of being eliminated;

"Many people knows that what I am saying is truth but those in service are afraid to voice out to avoid being killed directly or indirectly." Citing instances where patriotic officials in the military were roundly dismissed from service by orders from Abuja, for going hard on the terrorists ravaging the north.

To crown it all, same terrorists whom numerous lives are being exhausted to combat would later be captured alive, and instead of making them pay for their crimes, they would be integrated into various civilian/military institutions by the Nigerian government as "repentant terrorists", and then deployed to the east to kill as currently obtained in Aba and other places, He lamented.

These reasons and many more, are why Somto believes it is stupidity for a Biafran, Igbo or anyone from the East to serve in the Nigerian military.

He said "Those of you that always ask why I quit from the Nigerian military, this video is one of the reason [illustrative clip added], I can’t continue service the government that sends troops to kill my own people while they let go of terrorist."

As a result of this some of the Nigerian media institutions opted to air his grievances, though addressing him as active soldier, which he strongly insists to be rather addressed as an Ex-Nigerian Soldier, to avoid being accused of impersonation.

He also criticized the international community and global human rights institutions for turning a blind eye on the atrocities being committed by the Nigerian military in the Eastern region.

"Dear World- NIGERIA🇳🇬if these are not human Rights abuses by Nigerian Armed forces against innocent cibilians in the South East what do you call this? The world is watching.IF NYERERE WAS ALIVE HE WOULD  SAY NO-UN,AU,EU WHY ARE U BLIND @antonioguterres @SuluhuSamia @KagutaMuseveni."

Time For South East Governors To Assume Responsibility and Provide 24hrs Electricity, It Is Over For EEDC, Pack and Leave Or We Deal With You---IPOB

Time For South East Governors To Assume Responsibility and Provide 24hrs Electricity, It Is Over For EEDC, Pack and Leave Or We Deal With You---IPOB

The global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by the great and indefatigable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwu Kanu calls on the governors in the South East to cancel all Power contracts with Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) for being an impediment to the development of the Region.

EEDC has proven to be incapable of providing reliable, adequate, and affordable electricity to support economic stimulation and growth of the South East. The company is just extorting money from the people of the South East without providing reliable electricity.

The South East Governors should leverage the electricity deregulation policy of Tinubu's government and engage other local or foreign electricity generation and distribution companies to take the place of the incompetent company called EEDC.

The current electricity deregulation policy of the Federal Government of Nigeria has given powers to the State Government to generate and distribute power to their state. Therefore, South East Governors must not subject the Eastern Region to darkness in order to please the insatiablly creedy company called EEDC and its owner. Electricity is a catalyst for economic development and growth, which Ndigbo must not be denied at a time like this.

South East Governors have no excuse for not providing reliable and efficient electricity in their States. The time of giving excuses with the monopoly of NEPA, PHCN, or EEDC is over. Now, the Federal Government Electricity deregulation has given them the power to hire and fire any electricity company in their state. Eastern region governors can come together and partner with a reputable power company that can provide steady and affordable electricity for the entire region.

The governors must ensure that there is adequate electricity in the region without further delay. Our attention has been drawn to the unconfirmed letter written to the South East governors, universities, institutions, companies and communities by EEDC to these people and groups mentioned above to come and pay what they did not consume and failure to do so EEDC will shut off their lights. We beg EEDC to jettison such idea because we don't want to use force on them and if they want to test the power IPOB possesses, we will  let them taste the venom.

If they venture to cut any lights in the South East this time around, we will react because we have endured enough. The citizens of the South East are charged to deal with anyone seen as EEDC representatives anywhere in our land who try to shut off people's lights. They must be lynched and they must call any IPOB office close to you with the information.

EEDC is a big disappointment to the people of the South East Region. They are not showing any sign of repentance or improvement in the electricity distribution, and they failed to provide prepaid meters across the South East Region. Their extortion and incompetency should not be endured any longer. IPOB wants the governors not to allow EEDC to use another company to come back and deceive them, and  try to take another contract because EEDC has failed and can not handle the electricity distribution in the South East Region. PERIOD!

IPOB wants the governors to take responsibility for providing steady light in the South East Region. The development and progress of the South East is dependent on these conditions.  They should stop every unnecessary excuse. IPOB and Ndigbo, in general, have lost confidence in EEDC. Our people must be prepared to chase EEDC out of the region. IPOB is not backing down on plans of ejecting the rogue company called EEDC from the region.

The South Eastern Governors must wake up and demonstrate their willingness to drive economic development of the East via the provision of steady and affordable electricity by canceling all power deals with incompetent and extortionist- Enugu Electricity Distribution Company - EEDC.

30th May: Remembering Biafran Heroes And Honouring Their Sacrifices

30th May: Remembering Biafran Heroes And Honouring Their Sacrifices

The 30th of May holds immense significance for Biafrans around the world. On this day known as Biafra Heroes remembrance day, the Biafran people gather to honor and remember the Heroes/Heroines who sacrificed their lives in defense of their culture, traditions, value system and land from external aggressors. This solemn occasion serves as a time for reflection, prayers and a call for justice because the wounds inflicted upon the Biafran people have remained unhealed and unappeased.

The Biafra Heroes Day commemorates the Biafran Genocidal War, levied by Nigeria and Britain(United Kingdom), that took place from 1967 to 1970, when the Biafra sought to establish an independent nation. This quest for independence was driven by various factors, including; cultural and ethnic differences, economic disparities, prevention of genocide and the desire to preserve the unique heritage of the Biafran people.

The abundantly blessed land of Biafra by Chiukwu Okike Abiama(the Supreme Creator), possesses vast reserves of mineral and human resources. These blessings became both a source of contention and a catalyst for the tragic events that unfolded. The British colonialists, driven by greed, envy and jealousy sought to control and exploit these resources, leading to the suppression of Biafra's aspirations for independence.

The heroes of Biafra valiantly defended their land against overwhelming odds, standing up against aggression and oppression. They fought to protect their cultural heritage, their way of life, and the future of their children. Their unwavering determination in the face of adversity serves as an inspiration for this generation and generations to come, an embodiment of the resilience and spirit of the Biafran people.

Regrettably, despite the passage of time, justice for the victims of the Biafra Genocide remains elusive. The United Nations, the international body entrusted with upholding justice and human rights have yet to address the atrocities committed against the Biafran people. The British government with its historical involvement in the region, continues to be the minds behind the diplomatic oppression and marginalization of Biafrans in the 21st century.

On Biafra Heroes Day, it is essential to honor the innocent lives lost during the conflict and afterwards. The blood of these heroes cries out for justice and recognition. Their sacrifice must not be forgotten. They must rather be immortalized through remembrance, education and efforts to seek redress for the wrongs committed against them.

The call for justice remains ever pertinent. The international community must acknowledge the genocidal acts perpetrated against the Biafran people and support their pursuit of justice. It is incumbent upon the United Nations, in keeping with its founding principle of a guardian of global peace and security, to heed the cries for justice and ensure that those responsible for the atrocities are held accountable.

Biafra Heroes Day also serves as a reminder to the current generation of Biafrans to cherish and safeguard their culture and traditions. It is through the preservation of their heritage that the Biafran people can pay homage to their fallen heroes/heroines and ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain. The younger generation must be educated about their history, instilling a sense of pride and resilience in the face of adversity.

As the struggle for self-determination continues, fueled by the memory of the fallen and the quest for a brighter future, it is imperative for the international community to recognize the historical injustices perpetrated against the Biafran people. It is a moral obligation to address the atrocities committed during the Biafran Genocidal War and ensure that such human rights violations are never repeated.

Efforts towards justice and recognition should include truth-seeking processes, the establishment of memorial sites and reparations for the victims and their families. By acknowledging the past, society can move towards a future where the wounds of the past are healed and all individuals can coexist in harmony and mutual respect.

Furthermore, Biafra Heroes Day serves as a reminder that the fight for justice and the protection of culture and traditions is an ongoing endeavor. The current generation of Biafrans must keep holding strong the mantle and continue the struggle for self-determination, equal rightsand social justice. It is through their unity, resilience and peaceful advocacy that lasting change can be achieved.

Education plays a vital role in preserving and promoting Biafran culture and traditions. By teaching younger generations about the history and struggles of their people, they can develop a strong sense of identity, pride and a commitment to safeguarding their heritage. Cultural events, art, literature and music can also contribute to the revitalization and celebration of Biafran customs.

Ultimately, Biafra Heroes Day serves as a regrettable reminder that the sacrifices made by the heroes of Biafra should never be forgotten. Their courage, determination and unwavering commitment to their land and people deserve eternal recognition and gratitude. It is through honoring their memory, seeking justice and preserving their legacy that the spirit of Biafra will continue to inspire generations to come.

On this Biafra Heroes Day, let us remember the fallen heroes, pray for their souls, and renew our commitment to the pursuit of justice, freedom and the preservation of Biafran culture and traditions. May their sacrifice always serve as a beacon of hope and resilience for the Biafran people and all those fighting for justice and human rights around the world.

TERRORISM: Nigeria Will Face A Total And Consuming Madness, Should Anything Untoward Happen To Kanu--IPOB Warns

TERRORISM: Nigeria Will Face A Total And Consuming Madness, Should Anything Untoward Happen To Kanu--IPOB Warns

IPOB rally

A proverbs in Igboland says "Atukàtàkwà Ikputu àkpà, ọtaa aru". "Ikputu" is the dangerous snake, viper. It is believed that Ikputu does not bite immediately it make contact with its prey, but has a number of counts it make before doing so. Therefore, the proverb is a warning that, while these number of counts is not completed by the Ikputu, anyone who thinks he/she can carry it up and down, match or walk on it, should as well have it in mind that ones this dangerous snake completes its count, it will bite. And definitely, no one survives the bite of a viper.

Nigeria should understand that though the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) is a peaceful movement, it is the peaceful "Ikputu". And the peacefulness has long been abused and taken for cowardice by the Buhari led government of Nigeria.

A press release on 7th of July 2022 by the IPOB media and publicity secretary, Emma Powerful informed the public of an intelligence report about the recent attack on Abuja Kuje Prison, and how there is a subsequent plan being directed against Nnamdi Kanu, the illegally detained leader of IPOB.

According to Powerful, "Kuje prison attack was pre planned with full knowledge of the Security agencies".

He also noted that there is a plan to attack the IPOB leader in the Department of State's Services(DSS)'s dungeon. Saying, "We want everybody to understand that The reality of the Fulani agenda to Fulanise Nigeria is around the corner. All Fulani calculated plan to attack our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody is being done with the full collaboration with the DSS."

Recall that the IPOB Leader was Kidnapped last year in Kenya, and extraordinarily renditioned to Nigeria by the Nigeria secret security. Since then, he has been subjected to multiple incarceration in the DSS detention, while Nigeria has ignored all legal demands for the release of Kanu. Precisely through the manipulation of Justice Binta Nyako's Court.

Now, IPOB has reliably uncovered that Kanu's continued detention in that DSS dungeon is now very dangerous, because of the elimination plots of the all Fulani sponsored terrorists, in collaboration with the DSS

If it were that those at the helm of Nigeria's affair rightly learns from the pasts, they would have clearly understood that their continued underrate of IPOB is majorly what has led them into so many troubles that are hunting them today. This can be proven. A country with a leadership that is beclouded by unimaginable hatred for a region, and which hatred has restricted from heeding the warnings they were given in regards to the danger of grooming vampires.

What did not start today is the Nigeria government's romance with internationally designated terrorist groups like Boko-Haram, the Islamic State's West Africa Province(ISWAP), and an unending nature of others like the Herdsmen and Fulani extremists. This has resulted to several terror attacks, especially in the northern part of the country. And all can be blamed on the government's refusal to take right advices.

As at this moment, IPOB is again advising the Nigeria government to unconditionally free Mazi Nnamdi Kanu or at least, move him to a detention facility in the eastern part of the country.

As contained in the press statement by Emma Powerful, he said, "Our leader is not safe in Abuja". "The impostor president is aware of what happened in Katsina and Kuje prison yesterday". "The next attack is DSS and their singular target as always will be Biafrans detained in the custody of the DSS and our leader Nnamdi KANU is detained in the DSS custody." "We are therefore demanding that our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU be transferred immediately to a prison in the Eastern region for his safety because if anything untoward happens to him Nigeria will see and feel total and consuming madness even after the Biafran Nation's freedom is fully achieved they will never have peace. "...if anything happens to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in DSS custody, the story would never remain the same and the consequences is better not imagined."

One thing still very uncertain is whether the Nigeria government will listen to this IPOB's kind advice, or not. But it calls for the immediate concerns and prayers of both lovers and haters of Nnamdi Kanu. The government should be made to listen to the voice of reasons because, irrespective of what you feel about Kanu and IPOB(love or hate), that will make no difference, should anything unlikely happen. God forbid!
