The Prominent Yoruba born laureate made this statement on 20th November, 2022 during a speech at the 24th annual Lagos Book and Arts Festival, which was organized by "Book Kraft" .

Recall that, from the academics' year 2009–2010, the federal government of Nigeria, out of their selfish intentions, withdrew history from the country's schools' Curriculum. And, one major problem that came with this singular action, is the case of Identity Crisis present in several parts of Nigeria currently, especially among the people of the country's South South Region, where the youths and children have all forgotten who they are and what Ethnic group they belong to. 

Most Igbo people in the Anioma part of Delta State, today identifies as “Niger Deltans” – Words they do not even know its meaning. 

The lack of History among most youths today has led them into believing Late Gen. Chukwuemeka Odumegu Ojukwu started a war in 1967 against Nigeria, when, in fact, Ojukwu was only doing what was mandated for the safety of his people and generations to come. 

The Biafra Genocide, mostly disguised and called the Nigeria-Biafra War, is a major reason for the removal of History in Nigerian schools. It was an intentional move by the Nigeria Government and their Masters, the Britain Government. The target is to keep the present and future generations of Biafrans in ignorance as a way to cover up their deeds against the older generations of Biafrans. 

But it is very evident that even with the removal of History from Schools, Biafrans cannot be fooled, and the spirit and history of Biafra can never be eradicated. 

The Nobel Prize Winner, Wole Soyinka, has reinstated this fact in the recently concluded "Lagos Book and Arts Festival". Sighting that the removal of history from the Nigerian school's curriculum by the government is a criminal and intentional act. 

 

In Soyinka's own very words, He said; “Collective memory is the key, because it is that memory which is related to the mechanisms of relating reality to whatever narrative is given to us. It is far more important, and it is more dangerous because you can get trapped in it because it is collected as a community activity and some of that, I think, it's happening to us here in Nigeria".

“I’m referring of course to Biafra", he specifically noted! 

“The collective memory there is strong, even before the war, I warned that this collective memory might remain to plague efforts at nation building, and that therefore, everything should be done to avoid that war". “When I use the expressions like, "Biafra can never be defeated and can never be wiped away, people thought I was talking about just the battlefield. I was talking about, a notion, a passion which enters collective memories in active life, not just as a past narrative. This is what I was warning against. And we’re seeing it today", Soyinka said. 

“Government somehow undertook the criminal act of removing history from schools, something I never believed could ever happen to us. The government actually stopped teaching of history in schools. So naive, so stupid as not to recognize that there is something called memory, collective memories, active memory in the present."

“If the purpose was to obliterate the war or memories of the war, what about events that led up to the war? What about the position, the narrative of existence in relation to the outer world? How do you obliterate those, for heaven’s sake? Yet, people sat down and went about their business when they removed history from the curriculum. That’s what I mean by saying that we must always adjudicate the present by history, by the collective memory."

“At the same time, however, we must take care not to become prisoners of that collective memory. That member must be able to use our collective memories in a progressive, productive, creative, and advanced way".

These words the Professor should be a caution to the Nigeria Government; they should stop fighting a war they cannot win, even in a million years.

The Biafra Spirit lives on. And the earlier the government of Nigeria accepts this, the better it is for them.

Nigerian Government should release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in line with the pronouncements of the court, and also release all other Biafrans that have been illegally abducted and detained by Nigerian security agents. Because, come what may, the Restoration Of The Sovereign State Of Biafra Cannot be Stopped.

Family Writers Press International(FWPI) deem it of exceeding importance to very extensively educate Biafrans in regards to the recent pronouncement made by the leadership of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB), being the Directorate Of States(DOS). 

It is no more news, that criminality has thrived in Biafraland, since Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader has been in the illegal detention of the Nigerian Department Of States Security(DSS).   

Recall that Nnamdi Kanu was abducted, tortured and illegally renditioned to Nigeria, and since then kept in DSS solitary confinement. These ongoing criminality are being deliberately perpetrated by agent provocateurs, in a bid to blackmail him(Kanu) and his IPOB. 

Verifiably, the Fulani Cabals overseeing the government of Nigeria have been using Kanu's present condition (which they engineered) as a dice to gamble their ways into the minds of gullible Biafrans. They have been in the business of recruiting ignorant youths from all parts of the South, using them to wreak havocs in Biafraland, in search of ways to incriminate the IPOB leader and his noble movement.

FWPI have obtained some useful informations through our investigative journalists who delved in to investigate the situation. And at this point, for records purposes, we will detail out who these Villains on Biafran soil are, and what we discovered about them. People who have foolishly accepted to be thorns on their own people's flesh, recruited by the agents of the Fulani government of Nigeria to tarnish the noble image of IPOB.

The people of Biafra should understand what crimes these evil souls have committed against Biafra because, according to IPOB, there will be no mercy anymore for any of them apprehended. 

The first: Rough Money - He is a brother to one 'Temple, also called Butuzor' in Umutanze, Anambra State. Rough Money has been terrorising the whole of Umutanze Community, taxing fifty(50) thousand Naira, a cooler of rice and two cartons of beer, from every home that is organising marriage or burial.

Secondly, the guy called, `Number One'. This guy kidnapped "His Royal Highness(HRH)", the king of Amaebu in Imo State, collected ransom from the King's family, but still murdered the 'Male ruler' who doubles for a native doctor. And till date, there is not a trace of the Kings dead body. 

Another person is called "Sky". In every two weeks intervals, this Sky goes to Ochiri in Amaifeke of Orsu, Imo State, forcefully collects people's hard earned money in bags, goes to share the money with his Boss, "Temple Butuzor“, somewhere at Orsu Valley. 

We also uncovered another guy called 'Obi', from Okporo. This Obi and another guy called 'Chimezie'(son of a Rabbi) had good records until they were deceived into the camp of 'Temple'. Presently, they want to leave Temple's Camp because Temple killed Rabbi's brother, "Ogbunike". Obi and Chimezie fears that Temple might betray them like he did to Ogbunike. So, they wanted to leave, but Temple discovered, and is currently holding them hostage. 

Temple Butuzor and one Miss Chinaza also have a very young boy they are keeping in their Orsu valley camp. They claim the boy is their child, but they actually snatched him from his mother in one of their operations.

Another guy called 'Zuma' discovered that IPOB have known about his crimes, and have beemed their light on him, so he relocated into a hideout in Okikwe. 

IPOB have placed these criminals on watch list. Anyone who finds them should communicate the appropriate authority. 

For clarity purpose, The security wing OF the DOS, alerts the people that there is currently no operatives of Eastern Security Network(ESN) in Orlu. They have been ordered to vacate the area. This will help Biafrans and the wider World believe that IPOB/ESN is never associated to the crimes happening in the area.

In a 17th October, 2022 address from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu's lead Counsel, Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor stated that Onyendu Kanu whom his legal team visited on the said date, at the DSS custody, cautioned Biafrans to remember that Biafraland is sacred, and it is why the devils are out to desecrate it. But, Kanu encouraged his true followers to "never give room for the enemies actualize such".

According to Ejiofor, The IPOB leader categorically "emphasised that our people should jealously guard our land".

It is on this note that the DOS maintains that, “Biafraland must be defended".

More than a year after the extraordinary rendition of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya to Nigeria, a competent court in United Kingdom(UK) grants permission to the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB) to apply for judicial review of the UK government’s failure to intervene in the violation done to his rights, being a British citizen.

According to a court document released by Kanu’s special counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, the case was filed before the High Court of Justice, Queen’s Bench Division, by Kingsley Kanu, brother to the IPOB leader, where as Kingsley Kanu is the Claimant, and the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs is the Defendant.

As contained in the order made by Honourable Justice Mrs Ellenbogen DBE, the court held that “The application for permission to apply for judicial review is granted”. It further stated that, “The application is to be listed for one day, at an in-person hearing at the Royal Courts of Justice. The parties are to provide a written time estimate within 7 days of service of this order if they disagree with this direction”.

Recall that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, a British citizen with a British passport was, in the month of June, 2021, abducted by Kenyan agents acting on behalf of Nigerian government, tortured and illegally brought to Nigeria in utmost violation of international law. Kanu is since held in the dungeon of Nigeria’s lawless Department of State Security(DSS).

Whereas extraordinary rendition is a serious international crime, the British government in what has been described as the most heinous display of racism, has chosen not to intervene on behalf of Nnamdi Kanu, a citizen of color. 

It quite a shame that Dominic Raab, the former Secretary of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office(FCDO), played the ostrich. His successor and the current British prime minister, Liz Truss, followed same ignoble legacy. However, with this legal relief, one hopes the injustice done to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will finally be redressed soonest.

Family Writers Press International(FWPI) has on the 10th of April, 2022 received another report on how the Nigeria Department of State Services(DSS) have continually resfused go provide Godwin Idara before the court or tell her whereabout people and lawyer.

According to Barrister Nnaemeka Ejiofor, Idara's lawyers; "Each time we go to court for the enforcement of Godwin Joy Idara's fundamental right application that was filed in the month of November last year 2021, the Judge keeps giving us excuses. She keeps saying that she is not ready for the hearing of Godwin Idara's case. As a result, she has kept on adjourning the matter without any reasons for us to take home".

Recall that Godwin Joy Idara was abducted in Enugu on 8th November 2021, and an information was later received that she has been transferred to Abuja DSS Headquarters. But since her abduction, all efforts made to see her by both her lawyer and her family members  have proved abortive. The DSS have cruelly denied everyone the chance to see Idara and assertain what her condition is even like.

This case of Idara's illegal abduction was filed before Justice Maha's presided Federal High Court 11, Abuja in the above stated month. And the last court hearing date was 6th April 2022. But immediately it was time for Idara's matter, the Judge looked at Idara's lawyer and said "I'm not ready for this matter now, therefore, come back in the next 4 months, 21 July 2022".

This led the applicant's lawyer to start wondering what is actually going on? He told the Judge that this matter is about the enforcement of his client's fundamental right which was filed since November 2021. Barrister Nnaemeka reminded the judge that the DSS have blatantly refused to charge the girl to court or even allow the lawyer or parents see her in their custody.

Yet, the judge ignored him and moved on to another matter. That is how Idara's case of 6th April 2022 was not also heard.

So, the lawyer decided on that same day to make some more serious investigative moves on the true state of Idara, considering the obviously suspicious behaviors of the Judge. It was then that Barrister Nnaemeka Ejiofor learnt from the DSS that Godwin Idara is no more at their DSS custody in Abuja. But they did not tell where she has been moved to.

The question now is, Where have they kept Idara?

According to the lawyer, the DSS said that the investigations about Idara was concluded since 15th January, 2022. They further told the lawyer that Idara's offence was that she wore Biafra colored attire during her birthday celebration, and that she also campaigned for Biafra on her social media wall, Facebook precisely.

However, the DSS should have charged Idara to court, regarding these accusations. Yet till today, they have refused to do so.

Currently, Godwin Joy Idara is no more at DSS custody in Abuja. On one, including the family and lawyer knows where the DSS kept her and continuously subjecting her to torture.

The DSS should be reminded that Self-determination is a fundamental right of every human. This is clearly stated in the United Nation's Charter, which the Nigerian government is a signatory to. How then does campaigning for freedom on social media become unlawful?

Why are the human rights organizations so deadly silent about this matter? Why are the women rights organizations not saying anything to condemn this evil that is being meted on an innocent girl?

The DSS must tell the whereabout of Godwin Joy Idara to her people and lawyer. Or release her outrightly bacause she has not committed any crime known to law.

For some time now, a few misguided and disgruntled persons in conjunction with faceless groups and agents of government’s disinformation and misinformation have flagrantly engaged in outright lies, mendacious falsehood and misleading commentaries, deliberately delivered as truth, but is rather nothing more than a campaign of calumny and disingenuous destructive criticism of the Directorate of State(DOS) of the Indigenous People Of Biafra(IPOB). Good a thing, with all the important assignments handed the DOS by virtue of the central role they play, the last thing they have limited time for is to elevate such fringe and conspiracy theorists to a position of urgency or importance.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra fully understands that the reasons for the failure of Republic of Biafra between 1967/1970 bordered on lack of information vehicles, absence of politically negotiating tools, a leaky financial purse and a poorly motivated volunteer force. Very important but not exclusive was the non-existence of a robust legal representation.

The existence of the enumerated items would have fetched what is called a deterrence(Action taken by states or alliances of nations against equally powerful alliances to prevent hostile action). The lack of them meant that Biafra was negotiating from a position of weakness for an avoidable war that was not good for anybody, except the United Kingdom that was sending a message, which is: “We can do anything to you and get away with it.”

But, since Biafra was convulsing in death throes at that time, it is understandable why many things were hastily done. The saying, “if you want peace, then prepare for war” means that war should be a last resort. War is not good for anybody and should never be entered unprepared, otherwise the casualty would be catastrophic. Biafrans are living witnesses of this, no doubt. Therefore, anyone telling you otherwise is a devil’s advocate. 

The intelligence displayed in the formation of Radio Biafra, IPOB funding system, strong legal team, amongst others would mean nothing had a centralized-decentralized body like DOS not been there to coordinate things. The DOS is centralized, in that it only play a central role of a decision making body in IPOB. The body is also decentralized in that it is made up of Biafrans from all works of life, all over the globe. So, the importance of such an unpredictable but intelligent body cannot be measured. It is the masterpiece of a genius work, anchored on divinity. To maliciously continue to criticize the body for standing on the part of peace is totally a proof that one is working for the enemies of Biafra.

This freedom fight that the Mazi Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB is engaging is one that completely falls in line with the internationally accepted democratic rules and processes. It cannot be successful without significant politicial deliberations and other persuasive diplomatic approaches. And the DOS have consistently walked on this part, and have been thrown into muddy waters of heavy destructive criticisms by agent provocateurs. Their only offense is that they are giving ways for political, and other peaceful approaches. Because the IPOB leadership derives no joy in the waste of lives that has been long witnessed in Biafraland.

Nonetheless, those that are working for the enemy must criticize anything IPOB do. Whenever government agents, compromised Igbo politicians, paid infiltrators and brown envelope Nigeria journalists got paid by the government these compromised fellows will definitely do they job they were paid for.

Imagine for a second what would have been the story of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by now if the DOS is not there to weather the storm. It is responsible for making sure that the enemy do not hijack Radio Biafra. It is responsible for making sure that the people’s volunteer force is not infiltrated by government undercover agents. It is there making sure that the Biafra fund is protected, that the legal team is the best for the legal matters of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafrans. Imagine what the Fulani herdsmen and terrorists would have done to the people of Biafra by now without the presence of a deterrence – a people’s volunteer force aka ESN.

That a country like Russia has not invaded Ukraine today is because of deterrence. Therefore, the importance of deterrence cannot be overhyped. Whether it is called a political solution or diplomacy, they are necessary in the process. 

Hence, the DOS is simply playing their role of making sure they point the Nigerian government to the direction of the deterrence, to prevent them from doing something that will lead to a full blown war, to force the government to a negotiating table. Every reasonable person agrees that that is what is best for everyone. So, those throwing tantrum at DOS are nothing but liars that should be ignored. A political solution is good for as long as there is enough deterrence to goad the Nigerian government. The DOS is doing just that!

GREETINGS TO THE BIAFRAN PEOPLE

 

Fellow comrades in the struggle and by fellow comrades, I am addressing specifically those of you that have remained undaunted, devoted and consistent to the IPOB FUNDAMENTAL OBJECTIVES and GUIDING PRINCIPLES, those that have remained true and loyal to the leader of this great movement Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and those that have remained faithful to the structure he established. I salute you and commend your exemplary courage and discipline because without your courage and discipline we will not be where we are today in terms of the great progress and height attained in our match to freedom.

 

When we look back and reflect upon our humble beginning as a freedom fighting movement, you will agree with me that we the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide has so much to be grateful to CHUKWUOKIKEKEABIAMA for because even during the darkest moments in our journey to freedom, he has proved himself time without number to be the rock of our help and strength. We are therefore rest assured that we shall overcome our present challenges because those that Extraordinarily Renditioned our leader Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to Nigeria are terribly disappointed seeing that their initial plans have all failed and came to nothing. Remain steadfast great Biafrans for it is just but for a little while and it shall all end in praises to CHUKWUABIAMA and boundless joy in the holy land of Biafra for our freedom is at hand.

 

The battle for our liberty and freedom and for the restoration of the Sovereign State of Biafra is multifaceted because our enemies come in different shapes, sizes and colours. They and their collaborators both within and outside of Biafraland came prepared for one single purpose which is to stop a Sovereign State of Biafra from coming into being. Great Biafrans permit me to ask this rhetorical question: CAN ANY MORTAL STOP THE SUN FROM RISING AND FOLLOWING THE PART ORDAINED FOR IT BY CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA? As you know the answer to this question to be a capital NO, I urge you the true followers of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu to draw your daily strength from this fact that as it is not possible for mortals to prevent the SUN from breaking and driving away darkness, so it is impossible for any mortal to stop the RISING SUN OF BIAFRA from illuminating itself and taking its proper place of honour amongst the Stars of heaven because the Spirits of our ancestors are with us in this battle but above all CHUKWUABIAMA has determined that now is the time for the freedom of his children from subjugation, dehumanization, torture, imprisonment, pogrom, massacre and thousands of years of slavery.

 

The leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra, the DOS is preoccupied with the work of securing the unconditional release of our leader Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and to a larger extent we are also engaged in actions that will eventually and ultimately herald the birth of the Nation called Biafra. I am not at liberty to tabulate all that is being done in this regard but I can assure you that we are not living any stone unturned in our quest to achieve our immediate and long-term objectives.

 

ESN

The Eastern Security Network is CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA’s battle axe. He has used this outfit that our leader put in place under divine direction to drive from our land fulani rapists, killers and terrorist who occupied our forests and farmlands and were terrorizing our people prior to the emergence of the ESN. Twelve months since its inception, the ESN has done the unimaginable. This is why all forces of darkness are arrayed against it. This is why South East governor are unease because the people have taken their protection and destiny into their own hands. I can confidently inform Biafrans that more than 70% of fulani rapists and terrorists in our forests and farmlands have been dislodged and we are not going to rest on our oars until the remaining are sent back to where they came from.

 

As the ESN is engaged this patriotic duty of keeping our forests and farmlands safe for agricultural actives to go on unhindered, it is imperative that our people must be very vigilant when it comes to David Umahi’s militia because the majority close to 80% of its personnel are Nigerian police officers and foreigners imported into our land to help the Zoo security agencies in its continued pogrom of Biafran youths. Openly they are eliminating our young males who form the bedrock of our society. I am greatly pained when I observe what is playing out in IMO STATE. I am pained because I looked to see if there is but one man who can speak truth to power but low and behold our land is bereft of real Elders, our land is bereft of courageous Elders. They answer elders when an opportunity to go cap in hand seeking for one selfish advantage or the other present itself. They watch the carnage going on in IMO STATE but pretend to see nothing, they hear the sound of the machine guns fixed atop Nigerian army and police armoured personnel carriers and the bombs from their Army and Navy helicopters and when the dust settles, the mangled bodies of their children littering our communities and cities but these Elders are not moved because they have long ceased to be true elders having dined with the devil and mortgaged their conscience. The IMO STATE and EBONYI STATE governors have turned the killing of Biafran youths and razing down of our communities, businesses and homes their new sport. Where are the elders you may ask?

 

The intelligence report at our disposal reveals a disturbing trend to the desperation of South East politicians to create an environment of anarchy in Biafraland. They have now turned their eyes to the coastal region of Biafraland to hire militants to come into the heartland of Biafra and cause mayhem and targeted killings. We are alerting you now ahead of time because when they will begin to point their cursed hands at IPOB/ESN remember we informed you well ahead of time as we also told you that most of them the governors are responsible for the atrocities going on in Biafraland currently. They created the UNKNOWN GUNMEN for this purpose now that events in IMO and EBONYI has exposed their evil work, they want to divert our attention by their desire and desperation to turn their attention to the coast. Just a word of caution to our brothers in the coastal region, do not allow politicians to use you to spill the blood of your brother because the land of Biafra and the SPIRITS that own the land shall come after such a person that allows politicians to use him or her.

 

Please Biafrans take note, recruitment of ENS operatives is closed so do not fall into the hand of DSS in the name of recruitment for ESN. All ESN commandos and reservists should return to base within 72hrs.

 

RESCUED IPOB FAMILY MEMBERS AND OTHER BIAFRANS FROM VARIOUS PRISONS AND DETENTION CENTRES.

 

The Kidnapping of Biafran youths irrespective of their gender and the kidnapping of Biafran men and women irrespective of their age is continuing without let. Thousands of Biafrans have been abducted by the Nigerian security operatives especially the Army, the Police and the DSS. A great number of these abductees are simply executed, many are raped, tortured and starved to death. IPOB has deployed multiple approach in tracing the where about of our people who have fallen victim to these targeted kidnappings. We also deploy multiple means to secure their freedom.

 

The Indigenous people of Biafra IPOB led by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has secured the freedom of more than 1500 of our people kidnaped by Nigeria security agencies at an enormous financial cost running into millions of dollars. This number include about 500 of our people abducted from Obigbo in Igweocha. Let me hasten to add that there are still thousands of Biafran being held in different detention facilities across the Zoo. You may be wondering for what offence. These people have committed no crime other than that they are born Biafrans.

 

The IPOB Medical dept has been handling cases of our people who sustained all manner of injuries from torture at the hands of these terrorists in uniform. Many suffered serious traumatic, psychological and mental injuries that will take years to heal or may even leave a permanent scare on these victims. A lot funds are also expended by IPOB to provided the needed medical help.

 

The year 2021 despite many of its challenges was the year IPOB led by Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu reached a key and very significant milestone. Our challenges however has also equipped us with the resilience to go into this new year firmly committed to carry out our responsibilities diligently. We must maintain discipline at all levels and at all times. No room for distractions please.

 

OUR ACTION PLAN FOR 2022

 

The following are some of the programs and actions which the leadership will vigorously pursue in 2022. These are the ones we can make public for now. Others will be made known at the appropriate time.

1. Worldwide campaign for the unconditional release of Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu (A Prisoner of Conscience). The Campaign will be called the THE PRISONER OF CONSCIENCE CAMPAIGN. In furtherance of this CAMPAING, all IPOB family members, Biafrans and friends of Biafra are hereby urged to change their profile pictures on social media with our official campaign poster.

2. Secondly all IPOB families worldwide are hereby directed to activate the earlier instruction passed down to them. We shall embark on a worldwide protest in cities and capitals around the world. Focus of our protest shall be British Embassies, the British Parliament, 10 downing street, the Kenyan Embassies, the Zoo Nigerian Embassies and International Organizations like the UN, the EU, Amnesty International and Media houses.

3. The DOS will be creating a new department in IPOB to add to those already existing under the Directorate of State. The department will be designated as IPOB EDUCATION DEPARTMENT. Primary responsibility is to teach our history, language, tradition and culture to our children. We have about three books that will be published this new year in furtherance of this. After the head of this department is made public, Biafran writers will be called upon to bring forward books and educational materials to be published for our children in primary and secondary schools.

4. Beginning from tonight, no more Nigerian National Anthems in all Schools in Biafraland. Our Children must no longer be reminded daily that they are under oppression by singing the national anthem of the oppressor. School authorities and proprietors have a responsibility to teach our children our national anthem. The Biafran National Anthem.

5. The ban placed on fulani cows will take effect in April 2022. Effective this month Fulani cows will not be used for any social or ceremonial events and festival in Biafraland. Our native cows will be used instead for these events Traditional Custodians of our Culture, the Clergy and Town Unions must ensure that this message gets to the grassroots. We cannot continue to eat and bring cause and damnation upon our land and upon ourselves by consuming cows that were used for bestiality.

6. The May 30th of 2022 shall take a different format. It shall be celebrated as our Independence Day. Seminars, Symposia and Lectures in designated halls will be organised. No protests. Preparations for this must commence without delay.

7. Finally, I cannot reiterate the importance of discipline enough and this applies to all levels of our structure. Every principal servant of the Indigenous People of Biafra report to his /her immediate superior. Our Command-and-Control principle is an indispensable tool in our operations and for our success for that matter. There is no middle way, either you are in or you are out. To this effect therefore those of you who are being led astray, the door of grace is about to shut and then you will truly have yourself to blame

 

May CHUKWUOKIKEABIAMA take the place of honour in our journey to freedom. May he guide our feet in only one direction, the road to a Free, Sovereign and Independent Biafran Nation. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has announced that the Head of Directorate of State, Chika Edoziem, will address IPOB family members via Radio Biafra by 7pm on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

According to a statement issued by its spokesperson, Emma Powerful, which was made available to Press on Monday, Edoziem will speak on important matters to chat the struggle for sovereign Biafra nation.

This is just as the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, remains in the custody of the Department of State Services amid several protests by the group and calls by Nigerians and interest groups.

Powerful also disclosed that the programme would go live on Facebook and other platforms.

The statement read, "We the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) wish to announce to the people of Biafra both home and in the diaspora, friends of Biafra and lovers of freedom that the Head of Directorate of State of IPOB, Chika Edoziem, will address Biafrans on radio Biafra on Saturday 1st of January 2022.

"He will highlight the achievements IPOB has recorded this year, and hint on the roadmaps to our liberation. He will also address some pertinent issues pertaining to our struggle for independence.

"IPOB has gone beyond human destruction and it will remain so till Biafra freedom is fully achieved. Anybody can say whatever they like, IPOB remains unshakable. There is no retreat until Biafra sovereignty is fully restored.

"The broadcast will be simultaneously relayed live through our many channels including IPOB community radio, tuning, radio Biafra FM, Facebook, satellite and others.

"We, therefore, urge everybody to hook on and listen in during the broadcast. We also wish to inform Biafrans that Mazi Chinasa Nworu, and his crew will also be on radio Biafra for questions and answer on 30th of December. Leader of the Islamic Movement Of Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky, has said that the Nigerian security operatives behave now, like terrorists.  This happens sometimes when they are on operational mission. He stated this during the sixth anniversary of the 2015 Zaria killings of the Shiite muslim faithfuls.

In his statement after calling out the Nigerian armed forces for killing more than 100 Shiite members in the year, 2015, he said, “Men in uniform  – soldiers, policemen and secret police officers who do not wear uniforms are sent to unleash terror on the people. In fact, nowadays, they even done the garments of terrorists. They cover their faces in the same way terrorists do and exhibit similar modus operandi as the terrorists. The armed forces of Nigeria, have become an instrument of terrorism and this has taught the people to be violent. People have been forced, due to circumstances, to become violent because the state has become violent.

“We are talking about rights. We have to understand that this society can never be in order unless those in authority respect the rights of other people".

“Those occupying positions in government think and act as if they are above the law, they take the life of anybody at any moment, destroy villages and play blind to the activities of Fulani herdsmen that are terrorizing defenseless people. The government does not care about the welfare of the people it claims to lead, no amount of cries and pleading from the helpless, can make them make policies that would favour the poor. They are indifferent to what happens to other people,” 

El-Zakzaky equally stated that the right to life, as a fundamental human right has been taken away from the citizens.

He concluded by telling the world that Nigerian security forces have murdered peace.

 US lawmakers opposes Blinken’s decision, want Nigeria relisted as religious persecutor

A group of United States lawmakers has written a letter to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken to reverse his decision to remove Nigeria from the list of countries that violate religious freedom.

“We are deeply troubled by your recent decision to remove Nigeria from the list of Countries of Particular Concern (CPC).

“This decision is egregious. Your action undermines the United States’ commitment to protecting international religious freedom,” 12 Congressmembers said in the letter dated December 9.

Blinken yanked Nigeria off the list last month to a storm of criticism from religious rights activists across continents, including Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) based London and US Nigeria Law Group (USNLG) Managing Partner, Emmanuel Ogebe, based in Washington.

US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) also expressed strong opposition to the decision, describing it as “appalling”.

USCIRF said it found it “unexplainable” that the Department of State did not redesignate Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” (CPC) and treated it as a country with no severe religious freedom violations.

“USCIRF is disappointed that the State Department did not adopt our recommendations in designating the countries that are the worst violators of religious freedom,” said USCIRF Chair Nadine Maenza.

“One of our founding ideals as a nation is to allow citizens the freedom to practice religion and to maintain that freedom to do so.

“As a result of this core value, we as a nation are compelled to promote religious freedom around the world and point it out when other counties are not,” the lawmakers explained in the letter.

“We are deeply troubled by your recent decision to remove Nigeria from the list of Countries of Particular Concern (CPC).

“This decision is egregious. Your action undermines the United States’ commitment to protecting international religious freedom.

“Nigeria, being the most populous country in Africa, is home to 80 million professing Christians. Millions of Christians living in Nigeria face some of the worst acts of persecution, causing many to flee as a result of the devastating violence.

“Since June of 2015, there have been 11,000 Nigerian Christians killed by jihadists, radicalized herdsmen from the Fulani tribe and the emerging Islamic terrorist group, Boko Haram. 1,202 of those killings happened in the first six months of 2020.

“In 2021 alone, an estimated 3,462 Christians have been killed.

“We find this decision highly suspect, as it came just days before your trip to Africa to meet with Nigerian officials. It also goes directly against the 2021 recommendations for Countries of Particular Concern (CPC) and Special Watch List (SWL) by United States Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF).

“Your refusal to listen to the recommendations of the USCIRF and blatant disregard to the atrocities in Nigeria lacks necessary condemnation to those currently committing religious persecution abroad.

“We implore you to reconsider this decision.”

Ogebe commends lawmakers’ action

US Nigeria Law Group (USNLG) Managing Partner, Emmanuel Ogebe, who is based in Washington, commended the lawmakers for urging Blinken to reverse the religious persecution delisting because it gives Abuja the “license to kill”.

He thanked the Congressmen and women who took “the bold step” of calling out Blinken for his “ill-advised” removal of Nigeria from the list of religious persecutors.

Ogebe said: “Probably no policy position of the US government on Nigeria has attracted more universal condemnation than this.

“Indeed, the bipartisan US Commission on International Religious Freedom took the rare step of condemning a fellow US government office – the U.S. State Department.

“Even members of the British House of Lords in the U.K. have similarly lampooned Secretary Blinken’s actions as have NGOs all over US, Europe and Nigeria.

“The action was baseless and amounts to voodoo diplomacy as even during my latest visit to Nigeria last week, over a dozen Muslim  worshippers were reportedly killed and women raped in mosques while dozens of hapless people were burnt alive in cars.

“Similarly, in addition to the failure of most states to complete their own #EndSARs investigations, even Lagos state that was hailed for exposing the truth of the Lekki massacre has now backpedaled and shot itself in the foot by denying that there was indeed a massacre.

“Accordingly, … Blinken is urged to rethink the license to kill given to Nigeria especially as we mark the 5th anniversary of the Shiites massacre in Kaduna state.

“It is not too late to get it right, and Blinken owes it to humanity and himself not to screw up again this year.”

Biafrans do not want to co-habit with Nigerians. They want to live in their own home and rightfully so, who in his right senses would want to be in a terrorist ravaged, injustice perverse state like Nigeria? Just like a tree, no matter how big and old, it becomes a danger to its immediate surrounding when it starts decaying from the inside. It is only a matter of time before the wind brings it down. 

With all the resources in Nigeria, what does it have to show? Nothing, except terrorism, poverty and corruption. Even government officials are terrorists, negotiating sweet deals for cold hearted killers, receiving child rapists in government house, all in the name of repented Boko Haram terrorists and former Chibok girls abductors, sampling Islamic state flags at the state house, amidst all manner of ills that have befallen Nigeria. And just like HIV and cancer, there is no cure, instead, other sicknesses continue to attack the country, complicating and killing it slowly. 

Sectors that are vital to the growth of the economy are being used in Nigeria by government officials to enrich themselves and impoverish the populace. Public servants in high places do not even send their children to Nigerian schools nor patronize financial institutions in the country as they well know the risks involved. 

The judiciary is unreliable and has become a tool for leaders to further their domination of the people. No one trusts the health sector, not even the President Buhari, himself. 

Billions of dollars are always being pumped into these and other sectors but virtually nothing beneficial to the generality of the people, to show for it. 

Remember that David Cameron, former British Prime Minister, while in office, said that Nigeria was fantastically corrupt. Nigerians and their President agreed with him. 

No good news comes from Nigeria anymore. It is always sorrow, tears and blood. State and none state actors operate with impunity. People are regrettably trapped in Nigeria. They must go home to experience freedom. Some travel to distant lands, through all sorts of legal and illegal means to live like normal human beings. 

Biafra must be free to give Biafrans a sense of safety and ownership! They say that home is really the place where the heart is! Half of the population trapped in Nigeria wants to go home! They are unproductive and will only come alive when they get home.

The attention of the global movement and family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)  under the command and leadership of our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU has been drawn to the unpatriotic moves by some unreliable elders in Biafraland who are begging the Alamajiri elders for President of Nigeria from Igbo stock in 2023.

We want to make it categorically clear to desperate Igbo politicians both elders and self-acclaimed leaders that IPOB under Mazi Nnamdi KANU is not looking for any Nigeria President of Igbo extraction under the present  contraption called Nigeria. 

Again, IPOB will never be party to their begging and fawning for a transient political office at the detriment of our freedom. They must understand that our singular concern is the unconditional release of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. If our elders think they can use IPOB and Nnamdi KANU to bargain their ways into political office then they are in for the shock of their life.

We are keenly watching developments and taking record of them.

Some self-appointed Igbo Leaders desperate for power in 2023 should refrain from  making unguarded utterances that make the entire Igbo race a laughing stock by Northerners. It makes no sense to be desperate over power shift in 2023 while illustrious Igbo son Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is still in detention.

IPOB members that died did not die because of Igbo President of the Zoological Republic of Nigeria. What we need at this very point in time is the unconditional release of our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

It is better Igbo politicians, businessmen, elders, traditional rulers, religious leaders and acclaimed leaders including Ohaneze Ndigbo should retrace their steps and carry themselves with dignity at all times.

They must realise that the Northern oligarchy and the Fulani cabal controlling Nigeria will never allow or support any Igbo man to become President of Nigeria. It doesn't matter how such a stooge wish to please them, they have bitterness against the Igbo. So, it's better they focus on fighting for Biafra restoration. 

Any bargains against this divine mandate will not succeed. We call on Igbo politicians, elders and traditional rulers including Ohaneze Ndigbo to come back; there is no road in that path they are towing.

One of the greatest lies of all times is the notion that Britain means well for anyone other than the Buckingham throne. The British legacy is one of the lies and double standards. Other than this, they have no standard at all. For instance, they peddle information about how Africa is corrupt while conveniently suppressing the right information about how western countries, including United Kingdom, are safe haven for storing stolen African revenues by their friendly and anti-people dictators.

The United Kingdom is the true axis of evil. Notorious for exploiting weaker countries to supply enormous wealth to the queen. This was exemplified in the colonial abuses, and in the case of Nigeria, an incomplete decolonization, and deception. This led to the enthronement of Tafawa Balewa – a lackey and dictator. A progeny of Ahmadu Bello. A clannish, religious bigot outstanding for his pre-independence verbal incitement and divisive actions; a perfect candidate in the mould of Othman Danfodio, an Islamic jihadist. 

To sustain Buckingham palace, Britain encouraged genocide against the people of Biafra between 1967 and 1970. United Kingdom was scared to death of Biafran intelligence and negotiating skill. Fearing it may not get a fair deal in their quest to have access to the oil and gas in Biafraland, they deployed their two sinister skills: the art of raising false alarm and the art of divide and conquer. They lied to the world that another Japan was in the offing while reminding the minority of the ill-conceived Willinks Commission. An assignment more suited for the North. A region where a Fulani minority was/is riding a roughshod over the majority (Hausa) and other minority tribes.

Nigeria was the only British colony with a British Governor-General on the eve of independence. This was done, in all intent and purpose, to keep the South and especially Biafraland, under perpetual external control. This anomaly ensured British involvement, from behind-the-scene after independence. After the war, Biafraland has become an occupied territory. What the British colonial government started by killing 21 miners in Enugu, on November 8, 1949, for demanding an increase in salary and sweeping it under the carpet, is now normalized. Fulani controlled military, of course under the instructions of the United Kingdom, and her sister agencies like Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Civil Defense, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Custom and Immigration, are in a competition of who will kill more Biafrans than the others. 

Apart from the unending long stretches of checkpoints, where a Biafran can be killed for not giving as little as fifty naira, there is now brazen shooting of unarmed villagers and arson. This ugly trend involves house to house search, kidnap, disappearance and torture for false confession. While all these are happening, we saw Catriona Laing (British High Commissioner) in Nigeria, gallivanting across the country in a manner inconsistent with her designation. Why is United Kingdom relishing the exploitation of Africa? Why is Britain displaying racism towards Africa? Why is the United Kingdom showing double standards by conducting referendum for Scotland but encouraging violence over the same demand from Biafrans? These questions are seriously begging for answers and all men of good conscience must as a matter of fact, seek a redress for this kind of double standards being displayed by Britain while still claiming to stand for justice and democracy.

Petition To UK, US , EU And UN Over Biafra And Extraordinary Rendition Of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, His Torture Through Hunger In DSS Dungeon. 

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, he enjoys the support of over 70 Million indigenous Biafrans globally who believes in his agitation for a free Biafra state through a United Nations mandated and supervised referendum.  He has not committed any crime known to law against Nigerian state or any country of the world despite having presence of followers in over 100 countries of the world under the umbrella body as Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), a freedom fighting movement. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is only exercising his right for self-determination under United Nations charters and African charter, a law duly domesticated in Nigeria's 1999 constitution. 

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is currently under torture with hunger starvation after taking his blood sample for Twenty-One (21) times according to his younger brother who visited him. He has been denied of medical check-up by Nigerian Department of Secret Service (DSS) after much request to see his personal physician since he was extraordinary renditioned from Kenya to Nigeria by Nigeria authorities against international law on June 27, 2021 

Nigeria as a sovereign nation claim to be a democratic nation, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has demanded for a right for referendum for his Biafran people which is also a democratic process of settling conflict. Nigerian state despite being a democratic nation has continued to object this simple and viable democratic peaceful option presented to them by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra - Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. 

Instead the Fulani Controlled Federal Government of Nigeria has chosen the later:

1. The extrajudicial killing of innocent peaceful Biafra agitators in their homes and working places. 

2: Conducting illegal arrests and incercacration, torture and forceful disappearance of Biafra agitators.

3: Disobedience and flouting court orders.

4: Engaged in international kidnapping of person known as extraordinary rendition.

Prayers to UK , US EU and UN 

1a. That Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is a British citizen and deserves every right as a British citizen under law and should not be subjected to extraordinary rendition and inhumane treatment that he is undergoing presently in the hands of Nigeria DSS.

1b. That Biafrans are looking forward to British government to prevail on Nigeria Government to unconditionally release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and allow him free passage back to Britain.

1c. That Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, must not be harmed or die in the hand of Nigerian DSS. 

2. That the continuous silent on Biafra question by the global communities, the UK U.S,  E.U and U.N shall lead to a generational War in Nigeria and  West Africa to be precise. That the people of Biafra have right to exist and shall have no other options left than to defend themselves against those that do not wish us alive. That Biafran people have made up their mind to go their separate way out of the British government Nigeria. 

Conclusion: That history shall not be kind to the present world authorities if they continue to keep blind eyes in addressing the Biafra Nigeria conflict raging all over the world. 

That the Nigeria Government and her lawless security forces should be called to order and immediately stop their lawless handling of Biafra agitators case.  That United States of America and EU government must as a matter of urgency prevail on Nigeria government that claim to practice democracy to apply democratic methods of settling conflict and organize a referendum for Biafra .  That If Biafra people win in a genuine and United Nations supervised referendum, the Biafra people will seize to be Nigeria and become Biafra. But if Biafrans fail in a genuine United Nations supervised referendum the Biafra people will remain as Nigerians. That there is no need for war when referendum is mentioned. 

That these demands are urgent and an obligation to authorities mentioned above to stop the impending war in Nigeria of West Africa as the tempo is building and getting high every day by day.

 Nigeria Leadership Crisis And Its Fueling Of Separatism

An October 2003 publication of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) Africa, claimed that, "a new study of more than 65 countries published in the United Kingdom's New Scientist Magazine, suggested that the happiest people in the world live in Nigeria." There was no mention in the article of who conducted the study, where it was conducted and the method with which they arrived at their conclusion. If they are so happy, why does another poll suggest that more than fifty percent (50%) of the population, would travel to other countries for greener pastures?

Nigeria is one of the largest crude oil producers in Africa and on Wikipedia, it is ranked the 11th amongst the world's largest producers of crude oil, while Qatar, Oman and Turkey are 15th, 18th and 49th respectively. Quite ironically, Nigeria is one of Africa's 9th most indebted country at about $89 billion. Considering critically, the rate of development in other oil producing countries, one would quickly attest to the rate of mismanagement of resources, under-development and hardship in Nigeria. 

Unpatriotism is, and has always been the major quality of most Nigerians. Muhammadu Buhari, the current President had in 1985, voted against Nigeria as a military despot in a meeting of the then Organization of African Unity (OAU), as well as deposed a government during the military era. He, with other high ranking Nigerian officials, do not patronize the country’s health facilities nor its higher institutions of learning. Same can be said with their regard, or the lack of it, for Nigeria's financial institutions as they would rather bank their looted funds abroad than at home. Nigerian elites both in time past and present, have referred to Nigeria as a mere geographical location, but not a country. 

The Nigerian political class are bereft of political philosophies and in this pitiable state, have ruthlessly pursued brigandage in the name of politics. There is no telling of any one political party from the other, that is really different. They merely serve as banners under which the politicians, like bandits without honour, group and regroup ahead of elections, to position themselves for better access to public funds. It is therefore no wonder that terrorism has become a political tool in Nigeria and glaringly enjoys state sponsorship.

The fourth deadliest terrorist organization, Boko Haram and counterpart, Fulani herdsmen, are being pampered by the President Buhari and his cabal of handlers from his ethnic Fulani stock. The trigger-happy terrorists in Nigerian military uniforms do not defend the constitution but instead, defend the President and his primitive tyranny. Nigeria has no regard for human rights. 

If only Amnesty International was to take seriously its role in speaking out against the atrocities happening in Nigeria, certainly, the country will be on the headlines of every global news media house for weeks on end. But unfortunately, the lukewarm attitude of this global human rights body and other individuals, have emboldened the ongoing gross abuses of human rights in the South-East region, to the extent that Nigerians no longer realize that they exist under sub-human conditions. 

Looking at everything which Nigeria portends for its inhabitants, is it wrong that an indigenous people would seek exit from the Nigerian federation? Biafrans want to be out of Nigeria, in exercise of their legitimate right to self-determination. They ask for a United nations supervised referendum, as enshrined in the United Nations Charter on indigenous people’s rights which Nigeria is also signatory to. Nigeria is callously and murderously responding to the call for a referendum with acts of genocide, despite the fact that it was through a referendum in February 1961 that the present day Adamawa State, was ceded to Nigeria from Cameroun. The ruling coalition sought to ostracize and mute them at the same time. They risked protracting the conflict by further alienating a section of the country. Nigeria leadership has no option than to humbly yield to the legitimate demand of the Biafran people.

 The Unscrupulous And Murderous Nigeria Security Operatives

Our youths, mothers, fathers, young men, ladies and presently, children, are disappearing, some without any trace whatsoever, from Biafraland.

Why are the South-East governors and politicians keeping mute? Are there no more people of goodwill in the land apart from the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)? Who are those speaking for the victims of this illegality of the murderous Nigerian security forces?

More and more Biafrans are being abducted unabatedly by the combined team of the Nigerian security on daily basis. Just recently, the story of twenty one (21) years old Glory Okolie, surfaced on the social media. She was kidnapped from her base since Thursday 17th of June 2021, being raped and enslaved by the personnel of the Nigerian police force. She was abducted by IRT squad (Imo State) and taken away and her family is being hugely extorted till date in the guise of helping out to facilitate her release. There is no moral, social or  legal justification to the violation of this young lady and her family.

On Sunday 22nd August 2021, evidence surfaced that over twenty (20) youths were whisked away to an unknown destination by the Nigerian security agencies that numbered over thirty (30), with their patrol vehicles.

According to eyewitness, the security agents abducted the young men from Iheorji avenue and Alozie street both in an area of Aba South Local Government Council of Abia State. From the report, two people were shot dead at Ama-elu street by Iheorji avenue while one other, escaped and ran into a nearby church.

Recently, there has been an outcry for one Mr. Ikechukwu Henry Chiegamezu, a media personnel in IPOB Enugu State Media, his wife, children and landlady were all abducted by the combined Nigerian security operatives leaving behind, a newborn baby said to have belonging to Mr. Ikechukwu and his wife, which was just delivered last week. A one week old baby? This is indeed gravely inhuman. Have these perpetrators not still heard that guns and bullets cannot quench an ideology? Has it still not come to their realization that their opressions, suppressions, killings and intimidations of Biafrans and the callous labeling of IPOB/ESN as terrorists, cannot stop the WILL of a determined people? IPOB has remained a peaceful movement. Eastern Security Network (ESN) personnel are in our forests and bushes of Biafra, protecting our land and people from Fulani killer herdsmen and their cohorts. All we want is the freedom of our people. All we ask for, is the security of our land and property.

The Fulanis have created a diversion through the Nigerian corrupt media to disseminate troubling alarms and narratives that officers of the Nigerian police and military are being killed in the South East by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) a narrative played out in order to subdue and conquer the indigenous civilian population of the Biafran region. The constant  massacre of the Nigerian Police outfit in the South Eastern part of Nigeria by a sect tagged "Unknown Gunmen" by the Nigerian media, is one terror arm of the Buhari Presidency. This terror sect called the "Unknown Gunmen", is one of the well marshaled plans by the Political leadership of Nigeria to create unrest within the relatively peaceful, law-abiding communities in Biafraland, all in a mad bid to tag the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), an unlawful group.

Furthermore, This assertion that armed civilians are burning police stations is a blatant lie, just as the world now recognizes that the farmers/herders clashes, which were the narratives peddled by the Nigerian government through her corrupt and grossly compromised media, were lopesided reportage scripted to keep the international community away from learning the truth about state-sponsored ethnic cleansing in Nigeria's northern region, driven by the Fulani terrorists of conquest. To further fool the world, they additionally developed a force of armed herders known as "bandits". The Nigerian police and military have been completely destroyed by these state-sponsored terrorists and the government of the day has failed in its responsibility, to prosecute the perpetrators to the full extent of the law. These terrorists are fully backed by the political structure of the Buhari administration. The recruitment of Boko Haram terrorists into the Nigerian military is one act of Buhari defense mechanism of terrorism.

Fulani terrorists have wiped out virtually all military formations in Northern Nigeria in a brutal and gruesome manner. The Nigerian government sees nothing wrong with this because the terrorists are their foot soldiers, who are being armed by the Nigerian government on regular basis. These terrorists have infiltrated the southern part of Nigeria, particularly  the South-East region (Biafraland), to dismantle all police formations through the creation of the "Unknown Gunmen". In like manner, the operations of the Fulani terrorists in the North, have coincided with that of the "Unknown Gunmen", who have consistently destroyed and killed innocent men and women of the Nigerian police, while sending Boko Haram members into the military, to kill and subject innocent civilians in the peaceful South Eastern part of Nigeria to fear and acrimony

The Fulanis, which are a minority but has the support of the British government, are tasked with overruning and occupying Nigeria. They come to the media to tell us how many police and military men that were being killed in the South while the assailants are left to walk freely, causing unpronounced mayhem against the same security operatives even in the North. These wanton killings of the personnel of the Nigerian police and the military has been a norm in the Northern part of Nigeria and instead of the government to prosecute them, they willingfully reward them with cash gifts as ransom, to aid their subsequent acquisition of arms.

Men and women of conscience must know that since the people of the South-East region became aware that the Fulani masked men (terrorists) operating as "Unknown Gunmen" are state-sponsored killers, their actions  have drastically reduced if not entirely stopped. The claim that the "Unknown Gunmen" were indigenous to the South is entirely false just like the over published so-called farmers/herders clashes, which were totally Fulani engineered. The Nigerian government is a supporter of active terrorism and the world needs to come to terms with this glaring reality.

 Barber Arrested In Kano Nigeria For Giving Customers Haircuts That 'Offend' Islam

The Kano State Hisbah Corps has arrested a barber from Benue State, Elijah Ode, for allegedly giving his customers haircuts which offend the Islamic faith in the Sabongari area of the state.

It was learnt that the religious police force reportedly arraigned Ode on Tuesday and also had him remanded.

According to a Benue State activist, Smith Akoko, who first brought the matter to the attention of Nigerians, the barber, who is also a student, was arrested last Wednesday, after two of his customers were caught with hairstyles deemed blasphemous to the Islamic religion.

His cousin, Sunday Ukenya, who confirmed the incident to Akoko, said the Hisbah corps arraigned Elijah in court on Tuesday, February 2, and thereafter remanded him in prison.

It is not clear yet when his trial would resume.

Elijah Ode, a resident of Kano from Adum East, Obi Local Government Area of Benue State, who combines his barbing vocation with his studies, was accused by the Islamic police of committing blasphemy in the cause of his work as a barber.

According to eyewitnesses, Elijah, who is well patronised by young people for possessing exceptional skills in giving trendy haircuts, attracted the wrath of the extremists last Wednesday when two of his customers were tortured to stupour for having haircuts claimed to be blasphemous to the Islam.

Thereupon, Elijah was traced to his barbershop, where he was arrested for complicity, and put in police detention with the two customers last week.

According to information obtained from a family member, Ode did not design the hairstyles with the intention to provoke.

The source said, “He is only being innovative and to improve on his work, which he used to eke out a living for himself and pay his fees at his tertiary institution of study in Kano, where he sponsors himself.

“The case is already in the court of law at the wish of the aggrieved Muslims with the first session heard yesterday. But all efforts by the young barber's lawyer to bail him proved abortive because of the claim that it is a major case and therefore not bailable.

“At the moment, the family has run out of hope, soliciting intercessory prayers as the reality of incarceration stares Elijah in the face.”

Breaking News: World Igbo Congress Endorses Eastern Security Network

In recent years, the issue of insecurity of lives and property in various parts of Nigeria has dominated the airwaves not only in Nigeria but across the globe. In the Northeast of Nigeria where Boko Haram had dug in for years, the Nigerian army has been battling the insurgents for years without success. In the Middle Belt of Nigeria and some other areas of Northern Nigeria, there have been reports of security breaches. 

In the Western parts of Nigeria, the insecurity problems had compelled the western governors to set up a security apparatus known as "Operation Amotekun" that is designed to assist the Nigerian security forces in protecting the lives and property of Nigerians living in Western parts of Nigeria. In Eastern parts of Nigeria, there have been serious breaches of security problems where lives and property have been wasted during which the perpetrators had not been stopped or brought to book. 

The problems have gotten worse by the day in many areas of Nigeria necessitating the setting up of independent security apparatus such as Myetti-Allah (MACBAN) and Amotekun to mention a few in a number of areas in Nigeria, designed to assist in protecting lives and property in various areas of northern and western Nigeria. 

One of the major responsibilities outlined a in the Nigerian constitution for both the Federal and State governments of Nigeria, is the protection of lives and a property of Nigerian citizens. At the state level, the governors among other g responsibilities serve as the chief security officers. At the state level, therefore, the governors are responsible for ensuring that lives and property of f individuals living in their states are protected. 

The killings of innocent people and raping of women in a number of areas in Nigeria, particularly in Southern parts, Northeastern, and Middle Belt parts of Nigeria have reached a  significant proportion that the security apparatus of Nigeria has been overwhelmed and unable to provide the much-needed protection. 

World Igbo Congress has, agonizingly followed the cycles of the unjustifiable killing of the Igbo starting from Kano in 1945 and in Jos in 1953. World  Igbo Congress is worried that, although the Igbo killings have in more recent times spiraled into vicious carnage depicting massacres, maiming, kidnapping, raping and all whatnots in the nooks and crannies of Igbo land, not even one culprit has EVER been apprehended or prosecuted.  Nor has any event in the cycle ever been investigated. Consequently, all the talks about providing safety for our people for over seventy (70) years have fallen flat as unattainable. 

Recently, and through various news media, we have come to learn about the Eastern Security Network (ESN) that is designed to provide additional security protection to the people living in southeastern parts of Nigeria. We have also learned that sequel to the successes of ESN, the southeastern governments have proposed a joint patrolling of Igbo land by the governments of the area. 

It is evident and significant that the banditry and extra-Judicial killings of southeastemers, has abated since the emergence of the ESN On that note, the World Igbo Congress (WIC), at an emergency meeting of its Board of Directors and House of Delegates held on January 16, 2021 resolved to welcome the emergence of  the Eastern Security Network (ESN), that is designed to provide an added security for the protection of lives and property to the entire people living in southeastem parts of Nigeria and supports the safety a is providing our people. 

It called on the governments of Eastern Nigeria and all patriotic Igbo to provide support for the ESN to ensure that the vicious and unchallenged cycles of killings of the Igbo and their folks is stopped forthwith. It considered the support of ESN by the governments a better approach than the proposed joint patrol which will, like the community policing before it, not provide the needed security of life and property for the Igbo.

World Igbo Congress has no affiliation with any political entity world-wid  e, but the organization holds sacred the sanctity of the life of every human being and as such, supports the mission of any entity that holds sacred the lives of innocent individuals living in any part of Nigeria, whose lives are impacted on daily basis by the  violent actions of bandits or terrorists. World Igbo Congress asserts that the Igbo and their neighbors of southeastern Nigeria have inalienable rights to existence, self- actualization and unfettered access to their lands and property devoid of incessant harassment.

The indisputable active followership of over seventy million Biafran sons and daughters to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu regarding the Biafra restoration project, is essentially verifiable.  This is besides those others of goodwill  unshakable backing that cut across the global community. These millions of Biafra citizens constitute today, this popular statement: "Onwehi Ebe Ojeree, Biafra N'anohi" (There is virtually nowhere on earth that you go without seeing a Biafran).  It therefore implies that if there exists any place here on earth without the presence of a Biafran, you should ideally flee because that land is inhabitably dangerous. Biafrans are naturally transformers (reformists) by every indication. Reasonable successes are impactfully recorded through their ingenuity in those fields that others have woefully failed. Biafrans are unmatchably progressive and boast of their huge contributions in any vibrant economy globally.

These Biafran sons and daughters in their millions, consist essentially, of medical doctors, engineers, nurses, midwives, lecturers, lawyers, amongst other notable professionals in divergent fields of endeavors. Unfortunately though, a handful of this trained professionals, groan daily as a result of unhealthy economic, social and political environments. Those in the diaspora desire sojourning back home but are being scared away due to high risk of kidnapping, killing, rape and other related criminal activities even orchestrated by the Nigerian state. Biafraland in it's entirety, has been reeling in pains of Fulani herdsmen terror attacks until recently when the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, courageously floated a crack vigilante group christened "Eastern Security Network (ESN)", which is saddled with the detailed responsibility of safeguarding Biafran lives and properties.

It is however disappointing to state here that the so-called elders, fathers and leaders in Biafraland have so disgracefully and slavishly stood by to watch as their own children are blatantly being killed by the Islamic Fulani terrorists. Our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters are being raped and farmlands callously being destroyed, with no commensurate punishment known to have been meted to the perpetrators. With Mazi Nnamdi Kanu boldly stepping out to provide the much needed leadership to the people, this bunch of sell-outs, have shamelessly connived with the enemies to tag their own people, with different derogatory names with the primary intent of jeopardizing the Biafra restoration effort. These are jobless, crude maniacs that so terribly pleasure in the death and enslavement of their own children.  These are the type of leaders we have in the Eastern region that cannot firmly stand up as men in defence. The officials of the Nigeria Department of Security Services (DSS) have consistently and boldly come up before now under the cover of some faceless Biafran groups to state their opposition to the protection of the Biafran people and land by the newly inaugurated Eastern Security Network (ESN). These Biafran snitches have not in any coloration, deemed it fit to also speak up concerning the enormous challenges being grappled with by their own people even in the present day Nigerian setting.

It is with every sense of unambiguity that it should herein stated that this crop of individuals, have woefully failed in their avowed duties as fathers to selflessly serve their people. These are leaders that have millions of their own sons and daughters with whom they should be proud of if they had earlier on, properly prepared their home fronts. It is what they failed to do yesterday that their own children are today, strenuously striving to put in place. If therefore,  stepping in to correct the anomalies of yesterday by this generation of Biafrans for a secured future is what constitutes miscreancy, let it so be. That which makes Biafrans proudly secured must rightly and relentlessly be sought after. The political leaders, fathers and elders from Biafraland of today, should actually cover their faces in shame for washing their dirty linens outside through their facilitation of state-sponsored brutality, terrorism and death against their own people. They have so brazenly failed us and we can no longer live at their own mercy.
