Professor Dora Akunyili's Killers, Orchestrated The Assassination Of Her Husband
The prevailing political killings ravaging the South-East region has very unfortunately and curelly been blamed on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), have widely drawn the attention of Biafrans. This ugly development especially as it concerns the recent killing of Dr. Chike Akunyili, the husband of late Professor Dora Akunyili, the former Information and Communications Minister cum Director-General, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC). Studying the alleged reports of the gruesome death of this man, it becomes absolutely needless shifting blames, thoughts and emotions from the glaring reality on the ground. This is because the same crop of people that masterminded the death of Dr. Chike Akunyili's wife (Dora), and blamed it on cancer, have graduated in their criminality, to the level of finishing him up, via the barrel of the gun, thereby fabricating lies to shroud their trail. It is quite clear that the same enemies that assassinated the late wife, are not far from the husband's recent murder.
The general public should not be deceived or biased in their analysis of the unfolding events because it has become so patterned to politically kill and blame such dastardly act on the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) or the Eastern Security Network (ESN). It is saddening for Biafrans to lose such an icon at this critical time. Sincere condolences to the entire family of late Dr. Chike Akunyili and Biafrans in entirety! This heartwrenching incident is not just disgraceful but disgusting. And to worsen the already bad situation, the Nigerian compromised media, emerged in their unethical reportage, to blame the death of this illustrious Biafran on the activities of the ESN that is only instituted to protect and save Biafrans from the Fulani killer herdsmen. What will IPOB gain by killing Dr. Chike Akunyili that has never condemned the movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), in any statement? IPOB has in many occasions disassociated itself from any shed of violent invention nor participated in activities of gunmen and yet, the Nigerian brown envelope media, keep driving that deceptive narrative and joy by painting IPOB black, while crowning the real culprits who are the officials of Nigeria Department of State Services (DSS), that are carrying out political and jihadi killings, with sainthood.
IPOB however in their press statement said, they will no longer tolerate this campaign of criminality through media speculations aimed at demonizing the good efforts being floated. This global movement that has been working tirelessly to free Biafraland from the spate of Fulani terrorism and their cohorts, will never ever rest on its oars. Biafra freedom is a mandate that must not be compromised. Nigeria media churned out the following inconsistencies and controversies through their publications of the gruesome murder, viz:
1) The News Agency of Nigeria:
Dr. Chike Akunyili, husband to late Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control ( NAFDAC), Professor Dora Akunyili, has been killed by gunmen at Nkpor, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The report allegedly stated that seven other persons were equally killed in the incident and their names were yet to be confirmed. In what looks like a fabricated report from different accounts, the Nigeria News Agency further reported that the incident took place in the evening of Monday being 27th September 2021, as late Dr. Chike Akunyili was returning from a trip to Onitsha, where he had gone to obtain a Posthumous Award of Excellence, for his late wife, Professor Dora, where he ran into the hoodlums at Nkpor, was killed by the gunmen.
2) Vanguard News:
Late Dr. Chike Akunyili was killed early hours of Wednesday 29th September 2021, on his way to attend a memorial service in honour of his late wife, late Professor Dora Akunyili in Abuja.
The above reports had conflicting accounts and this amounts to improper or unethical investigation. Yet, some gillibles were busy in different social media platforms, pointing accusing fingers at IPOB/ESN, as the killers. The question then remains; why would IPOB/ESN kill late Dr. Chike Akunyili? As an investigating journalist and a writer, critically analyzing this couples' death, are really instructive and there is absolutely no justification whatsoever, twisting the assassination of this man and attributing it to ESN/IPOB. There is no correlation. ESN only operates in bushes and forests of Biafraland, fighting against the murderous activities of the Fulani killer herdsmen. Therefore, it is completely unwise to point fingers at the wrong direction, aimed at demoralizing the people over the good activities of the Eastern Security Network (ESN), at the pleasure of the Fulanis and their politically motivated jihadi killings.
Relating this criminality to the activities/records of the Unknown Gunmen in the Eastern region of Nigeria that attack only men in uniform, the security situation is yet beclouded. Linking the gruesome murder to IPOB/ESN personnel that are fighting for the liberation of the people from the killings going on in Biafraland, is to say the least, most callous. The unknown gunmen as we know them to be, only checkmate the vamparic activities of the uniform men who mount roadblocks across Biafraland and extorting money from the poor masses. How then, does this brutal killing of an innocent Biafran be linked to these innocent souls that are fighting for the safety and protection of the people?
This bizarre political assassination going on in the South-East region must not be linked to IPOB/ESN because this movement led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, remains the most peaceful, tirelessly working for the freedom of Biafrans through legitimate and diplomatic processes, recognized by international laws. The assassination of late Dr. Chike Akunyili is rather the handwork of DSS ordered by Fulani run Nigeria n government which is maliciously using the compromised media as a tool to mislead the general public by fallaciously accusing IPOB/ESN.
The death of this ilustrious son of Biafra is a great minus and we pray that the immediate family he left behind, be granted the fortitude by Amighty God, to bear this very terrible and irreplaceble loss.
