Nigeria: Resignation Of Soldiers To Join Eastern Security Network (ESN), Is Commendable
Some Nigerian Army officers of good conscience, numbering one hundred and twenty seven (127), have recently resigned from their duties to the country. An insider information has it that many of them are joining Eastern Security Newtwork (ESN), the security outfit launched by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. This development is well welcomed by Biafrans other peace loving individuals. We immensely commend these men and equally encourage others whether of Biafra extraction or not, to bravely take the right step. They should not be cowards, because there is clearly nothing to be proud of anymore in serving Nigeria. It should be recalled that this is not the first time hundreds of soldiers have massively resigned from the Nigerian forces in recent months.
This goes a long way to show how Nigeria as a system has deteriorated. And these men, esteeming themselves better than to remain in the disgrace and disrespect people's experience on daily basis while serving Nigeria, have decided to leave the service for good. I mean, who would love to continually live with the wounded self-esteem and unhappiness of waking up every day to the pain of working for the enemy of his own people, especially when he is just staking his life for some masters who care less about his welfare which will certainly destroy him after he is used?
We specially call on all the currently serving Nigerian soldiers of Biafra extraction to have a rethink and desist from pledging their loyalty to the Nigeria state, because that means belittling themselves. It is a clear disrespect to the memories of Biafran heroes and heroines that were either killed or starved to death between 1967 and 1970 for us to be alive and have a land we call our own today.
These serving soldiers should join the Eastern Security Network (ESN), where they will be accorded respect and paid well. More especially, where their lives will be valued and duly given the honour of defending their fatherland. It is the best you as a soldier, could honorably do now than continuing to be killed by Boko Haram terrorists in the name of serving Nigeria.
We also know that the Nigerian military may want to try fresh recruitments following these several resignations, however, we want to warn Biafra youths who may ignorantly be dreaming of joining the murderous Nigerian army. The honour and dignity you are looking for cannot be seen anymore in the system. Join Eastern Security Network (ESN), and avail yourself of the privilege of being well cared for and it is only through this bold step that you could write your name in history by enlisting for the defence of your fatherland.
