The Consequences of Obigbo Massacre will come, It may take time but it must come, Nnamdi Kanu tells Wike

The Consequences of Obigbo Massacre will come, It may take time but it must come, Nnamdi Kanu tells Wike

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has in very strong terms, condemned the genocidal massacre of Obigbo residents, with over two hundred (200) innocent citizens confirmed dead and many others, seriously wounded, arrested and detained. Residential homes, business shops and properties were destructively razed down. Women were raped/widowed, children made fatherless and the elderly manhandled by the Fulani janjaweed soldiers in army uniforms, drafted in through the invitation of the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike.

In a recent tweet carried on Wednesday 4th November 2020, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu  sternly warned Nyesom Wike that the evil seed sown in Obigbo town would someday certainly bear fruits. The gruesome killing of innocent citizens and the wantom destruction of their homes and business shops by the Nigerian soldiers, were perpetrated under his watch. Recall that the IPOB leader had on his weekly Radio Biafra live broadcast, outrightly condemned the atrocious onslaught carried out against innocent Obigbo citizens as arrogantly and tyrannically directed by Governor Nyesom Wike in connivance with the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Additional information obtained, had it that in the past few days, the unabated killings were being roundly and widely condemned by a cross section of well meaning Nigerians, Igbo Cultural Organisations and Human Rights Bodies like Amnesty International in Nigeria. In a verifiable video clip, Governor Wike  openly declared war against the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in Rivers State, following the #EndSars protest which was championed by the Nigerian youths and staged nationwide. But instead of facing realities objectively and wisely like what obtained in other states of the federation, he decided to wage war against Obigbo community under the guise of protecting life and property. Wike has through this morbid politicization and service to vested interests, made a very costly mistake  just like Obasanjo in Odi, Bayelsa State.

With this outrageous crime that has lasted over two weeks, Nyesom Wike has proven to the global community that he is a markedn enemy of the people and has equally declared his hatred for justice and freedom of expression and association in Rivers State even as a lawyer.

Pointedly reacting to the unacceptably disgusting and ongoing attacks on Obigbo residents, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu  said: "I tell you this, #Obigbo will NOT be without CONSEQUENCES. It might take months, even years but it will come and it will not be pretty. Whether the consequences will be judicial or extra-judicial is something I would not say for now. But come, it will in the fullness of time", he concluded.
