"THIS GREAT COUNTRY OF OURS": ONE DECEITFUL STATEMENT BEING MADE BY NIGERIA POLITICIANS
Nigeria politicians are not only deceitful and unreliable but instantaneously slippery. Listening to them speak, gives detailed revelation of their pride, cunning craftiness, pretense, selfishness and inherent inhumanness with which they are wired with. In most of them, you will see disappointing mental retardation publicly displayed as they parade themselves as Nigerian leaders. In their behaviours, the devil himself assumes the claim of some measure of innocence. Falsehood, lies and deception have become parts of their credentials, resulting in serious disconnection between ego-system mentality and eco-system reality.
According to the great African/world acclaimed Noble Laureate, late Professor Chinua Achebe in his book titled "The Trouble With Nigeria", he clearly gave this narrative: "In June 1979, former German Chancellor, Helmut Schmidt, commented about his country. He said: "Germany is not a world power, it does not wish to become a world power". In August of that same year, General Olusegun Obasanjo stated during his "Thank You Tour" of Ogun State, that "Nigeria will become one of the leading nations in the world by the end of the century". The former sounded more human, realistic and mentally healthy while the later sounded more like a butterfly that preferred being called a bird. You can see a gross display of choked mentality of a person who thinks that by creating false and deceitful image of his country, hell will be changed into heaven. What a pitiable shame! What an impossibility!! He continued, "The contrast between these two leaders speaks for itself, a sober, almost self-deprecatory attitude on the one hand and a flamboyant imaginary self-concept on the other".
"One of the commonest manifestations of under-development, is the tendency among the ruling elite, to live in a world of make-believe and unrealistic expectations. This is the cargo-cult mentality that anthropologists sometimes, speak about. A belief by backward people that someday without any exertion whatsoever on their part, a fairy ship will dock in their harbor laden with every goody they have always dreamt of possessing".
Listen to the Nigerian leaders and you will frequently hear the phrase "this great country of ours". Nigeria is not near being a great country in every standard. It is one of the most disorderly and shitholic countries you can think about globally. It is fantastically corrupt, most insensitive, inefficient and dangerous place to habit under the sun. It is one of the most expensive countries and one of those that gives the least value for money. It is dirty, callous, noisy, ostentatious, dishonest and vulgar. In short, it is among the most unpleasant places on earth". "It is a measure of self-delusion to talk about developing tourism in the country. Only masochist with an exuberant taste for self-violence will pick Nigeria for a holiday, only a character of Tutuila seeking to know punishment at first hand. No, Nigeria may be a paradise for adventurers and pirates, but not tourists", Professor Chinua Achebe concluded.
It is really surprising how one could reasonably be called a Nigerian. Nigeria, the so-called giant of Africa has become one in negativism. It is only a marauding terrorist, the deluded and the grossly hoodwinked that will be proud to call Nigeria, a giant of Africa. It is only those fashioned in the mould of Joseph Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Osama Bin Laden, Boko Haramists and the Fulani killer herdsmen that will take pleasure in visiting Nigeria for a holiday. It is that bad. And going by the statement of Olusegun Obasanjo as earlier referenced, the country is not only amongst the ten leading countries of the century in terms of poverty, terrorism, corruption, fraud, lies, deception, hypocrisy, child birth deaths according to Bill Gate, the joke of Africa according to Jim Iyke and the shithole of Africa according to President Donald Trump, but a crippled giant in every decent/civilised characteristics in human history. It is a shame and a dishonor indeed to be associated with a country like Nigeria.
