IPOB RIVERS EAST SENATORIAL EXECUTIVES PAID A CRUCIAL VISIT TO OGINIGBA FAMILY ZONE IN IGWEOCHA, BIAFRALAND
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Oginigba family zone, on Saturday 21st December 2019, played host to the IPOB Executive Teams from both the Rivers East Senatorial Zone led by it's Coordinator, Mazi Chika Felix Amaechi and Obio/Akpor Area 2, led by it's Coordinator, Mazi Elochukwu Okafor. The meeting was organized on emergency for the sole purpose of hearing in details, the causes of the lingering leadership crises in Oginigba Family. It should be noted that this matter had earlier been handled by the Obio/Akpor Area 2 Executives with no apparent healthy resolution that soothed the nerves of all the parties involved, hence the interventionist practical investigation of the senatorial delegate particularly.
Re-administration of the IPOB oath of allegiance was duly carried out on all present, as led by the Rivers East Senatorial Coordinator, Mazi Chika Felix Amaechi himself, following an opening prayer, enthroning the supremacy of Chukwuokike Abiama (God Almighty) in the discussions.
In his opening address, the senatorial oordinatoroordinator heartily welcomed all and called for patience, cooperation, truth and sincerity as all thorny issues would be peacefully and permanently resolved to the satisfaction of everyone. Referencing the bible books of 1 Corinthians 4:1-2, Luke 12:42-48, Ezra 7:10 and 1 Timothy 5:17, he carefully exhorted that as IPOB family members, all the itemised requirements needed as faithful stewards must be indispensably possessed and lived out at all times. He cautioned against negative and inimical antecedents, pointing out that as stewards (servants) at whatever level, all must always be prepared for accountability. Mazi Chika Felix Amaechi also stressed the need for undivided loyalty (obedience) to laid down rules. He pleaded that elders should epitomise just and untainted leadership values in their dealings as occasion demands for therein, lies the reward of double honor. They should eschew insincerity, biasness or favoritism in their judgements for in true wisdom, truth and justice, are the longevity of life. The sterling stewardship/leadership qualities of the IPOB global leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be imbibed. Biafra is a spirit and all IPOB family members should also always be in the spirit, to avoid unnecessary mistakes and compromises. The Rivers East Senatorial Coordinator called for sincerity, truth, faithfulness and justice, warning that all indices of lying and partisanship will be definitely identified in the course of deliberation.
Collaborating the plea of the Rivers East Senatorial Executive Secretary, Mazi Uzoma Abara, the Rivers East Senatorial Women Coordinator, Josephine Egesi, warned that a divided house cannot stand, pleading for peace, understanding and sincerity of purpose. Nobody is here to crucify or victimize anybody, she further posited.
Mazi Elochukwu Okafor, the Obio/Akpor Area 2 Coordinator, gave a brief narrative of the issue on ground and the extent his executive went in trying to resolve them. He handed over the papers containing relevant information of concern, to the senatorial leader. The process adopted in handling the matter right from the onset even from the zonal level was pointedly faulted. There were spotted loopholes that needed not to have been allowed from the constitution of the resolution committee amongst others, for a thorough and just settlement of the contending issues, he pointed out.
However, all individuals concerned were adequately quizzed for untainted practical accounts of what transpired within the months of September to November 2019 when the matter came up in both the zone and local government area. The senatorial coordinator in his wisdom, patience and understanding, concluded after exhaustively and critically listening to the submissions, promised to make his report to the authority concerned for final decision on the matter.
And in order to restore the much needed peace and unity in the zone, the already dropped zonal coordinator, Mazi Onyedikachi Bright Uba remains out while his deputy/acting zonal coordinator, Mazi Ambrose Ochiemu, the unit coordinators and their deputies were equally ordered to step down with immediate effect, until a new leadership in the zone is reconstituted. The meeting eventually came to a close with a closing prayer.
