END OF THE YEAR 2019 THANKSGIVING/GET-TOGETHER OF IPOB FAMILY UNIT 1 OGINIGBA - IGWEOCHA, BIAFRALAND
God Almighty deserves all the praises and thanksgiving for His loving kindness, mercy and innumerable blessings towards all persons of goodwill amongst whom are the awesome family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). On Wednesday 11th December 2019, the IPOB Unit 1 family members of Oginigba zone in Obio/Akpor Area 2, Igweocha, Biafraland, converged accordingly, to tell God Almighty, thank you for His enabling grace and accomplishments thus far, at the local, national and international levels on behalf of the global movement.
The gathering kicked off with an opening prayer said by elder Johnson Eze. The unit 1 family coordinator, Mazi Ndifreke Udoh in welcoming the brethren, thanked God Almighty for sustainability, protection and diverse blessings. Referencing the scriptures from John chapter 15 verse 5, he encouraged members to take cognisance of the very key word therein contained which is "Abide". The unit coordinator stressed the need for the brethren to eschew all indices of distrust, lousiness, doubt, indiscipline, falsehood, disunity and indolence, and firmly abide in God. He stated that as IPOB members, the sterling qualities exemplified by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be imbibed and portrayed at all times. He also reminded all that truth and transparency which have enormous attached blessings, remain indispensable factors in the Biafra restoration project.
The IPOB Oginigba Zonal Family Elders Council Chairman, Elder (Dr.) Dennis O. Nwankwo reminded the members that Biafra restoration mandate is spiritually orchestrated and that all those involved, cannot be anything else than spiritual. He stated that Biafra was prophesied seven thousand, five hundred and twenty (7,520) years ago according to biblical account, by Jacob, our progenitor. Taking his exhortation text from the book of Numbers chapter 26 verses 15-18, the Elders Council Chairman gave a run down of the sons of Gad who by implication, are all generations of Biafra with strong ancestral connections. He decried the evil that the British colonialists foisted upon Biafrans, intently upturning our originality with deceits and falsehood. Elder Dennis Nwankwo giving passionate historical narrative of the Biafra journey over the years, called for unity of purpose and intimacy amongst IPOB family members. He maintained that this noble body remains the only unifying force that will fast track the freedom of our people. He cautioned against divisive and self-serving tendencies, maintaining that the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwu-Kanu is obviously divinely ordained and sent to not only unite Biafrans but to champion and victoriously conclude that which the late People's General, Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu began. Elder (Dr.) Dennis Nwankwo enjoined all to remain strong and undeterred in our commitment to this noble restoration quest. The need for aggressive evangelism thrust within our locations, was equally highlighted.
At this juncture, prayers of thanksgiving, protection, provision amongst others, were offered to God Almighty on behalf of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Okwu-Kanu, all principal servants and family members both locally, nationally and internationally as duly led by Reverend Amah Sambo, a hardcore Biafran Minister of the gospel of Christ.
The IPOB Oginigba Family zonal acting coordinator, Mazi Ambrose Ochiemu, heartily appreciated the brethren for the day's event. He enjoined all to remain resolute and also gave an invitation for encouraging turnout to the forthcoming zonal end of the year meeting.
Veteran (Elder) Udechukwu U.S. giving vote of thanks, exceptionally thanked all the members and the executives of the unit 1 family for their efforts in the Biafra restoration struggle. He thanked God Almighty for life, protection and provisions, reminding all that the only way to reciprocate these wonderful gestures is to remain unreservedly committed to the mandate.
The meeting came to a close with a group photograph of a cross section of the membership and light refreshments.
