IPOB RUMUODARA GENERAL WOMEN WING IN OBIO/AKPOR AREA 2, IGWEOCHA, BIAFRALAND, DULY INAUGURATED
The Rivers State (Igweocha) Women Chapter of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) ably led by Mrs. Catherine Onwuzuruike, under the IPOB Rivers State Coordinatorship of Mazi David Njoku, was hosted by Rumuodara Family Zone, in it's November 2019 edition on Sunday, the 17th day. In welcoming the women according to their respective local government areas, following a scintillating rendition of Biafra National Anthem, she exhorted them to strongly imbibe the culture of unity and dedication. Drawing her biblical reference from the book of 2 Samuel chapter 30 verse 8, the State Women Leader enjoined her fellow women to remain resolute in the Biafra restoration struggle, recorded experiential setbacks nonetheless. She maintained that with unity of purpose and untainted focus just like king David and his army, stating that all that had been forcefully taken away from Biafrans, must surely be recovered. Mrs. Catherine Onwuzuruike further encouraged all like the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, to remain undeterred, resolute and courageous despite all the surrounding discouraging indices. She clearly stated that the restoration of the sovereign nation of Biafra is quite imminent.
In strategically positioning the IPOB Rivers State Women for greater results in the Biafra restoration effort, few leadership changes were effected amongst which is the promotion of Mrs. Anny Lyon to the position of the State Public Relations Officer (PRO) 1, while Mrs. Sandra Ngozi George seizes forthwith, to be the Obio/Akpor Area 2 Deputy Women Leader. She has been elevated to the position of State Public Relations Officer (PRO) 2. The position of Obio/Akpor Area 2 Deputy Women Leader, remains vacant until appointment is made by the State Women Executive.
Mazi Chimenem Ogbonda, the Rumuodara Zonal Coordinator who also is the Obio/Akpor Area 2 Deputy Coordinator and member, Rivers East Senatorial District, led other men in his zone to the meeting to heartily bid the women, welcome. They were tumultuously received by the women. The men respectively encouraged the State Women to remain dogged and unruffled in the restoration struggle.
Meanwhile, the much anticipated inauguration exercise of IPOB Rumuodara General Women Wing was colourfully unveiled. Josephine Egesi, who doubles as the vibrant leader of both the Rumuodara General Women Wing and Rivers East Senatorial District Women, led her Rumuodara General Women in a file out procession for commissioning. The IPOB State Women Leader, Mrs. Catherine Onwuzuruike, happily received them and duly got them inaugurated at the admiration of all. She thereby released them as a body, to function. The working edict or guidelines of the IPOB Rivers State Women was also formally handed over to the Rumuodara General Women Wing through their leader, as a seal of their commission. She advised them to remain focused and determined in line with laid down objectives. The State leader equally prayed for them for divine wisdom, guidance and protection.
In appreciation for the day's event, the Rumuodara General Women Wing leader, Josephine Egesi, heartily thanked the State Women Leader, the Executive and all the women from the local government areas, for physically gracing the event enmass. She promised to keep the flag flying. The meeting subsequently came to a close with diverse sumptuous refreshments and exchange of pleasantries. The event was really one, well accomplished.
