FAMILY WRITERS PRESS INTERNATIONAL : CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO THE FAMILY OF HIS ROYAL MAJESTY (HRM) EZE ISRAEL OKWU-KANU

FAMILY WRITERS PRESS INTERNATIONAL : CONDOLENCE MESSAGE TO THE FAMILY OF HIS ROYAL MAJESTY (HRM) EZE ISRAEL OKWU-KANU

FRIDAY 25TH OCTOBER 2019

We, the entire members of Family Writers Press International, an affiliate frontline social media organization in the Biafra restoration struggle under the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, do hereby send our condolences to the royal family of His Royal Majesty (HRM), Eze Israel Okwu-Kanu of Isiama, Afara-Ukwu Ibeku ancient kingdom of Umuahia in Abia State, Biafraland, on the shocking news of the passing to glory, of a dependable wife, loving mother and grandmother, Lolo Ugoeze Sally Nmeme Okwu-Kanu, which took place on Friday 30th of August, 2019.

She died out of prolonged ailment she suffered as a result of the criminal invasion of the family residence by the Nigerian military on the 14th of September 2017 on the directive of the Nigerian presidency. In that murderous raid, more than 28 unarmed Biafran youths were gruesomely murdered and properties worth fortunes, wantonly destroyed. Eversince that traumatic experience, Mama Ugoeze Sally Okwu-Kanu had never regained her health till death despite medical battles fought to keep her alive.

The sad news of her demise got to us as a deep shock as such an event was never imagined nor anticipated at this point in history when we are at the verge of regaining our independence as a people. She unreservedly and courageously queued behind her son and IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, with other Biafrans in the Biafra restoration struggle. Death is indeed more potent than any mortal which the bravery and tenacity of this very great woman of honor, could not contend with in her battle for survival.

However, we the members of Family Writers Press International, wish to encourage all the members/people of the royal family in particular and the entirety of Afara-Ukwu Ibeku kingdom, not to mourn the deceased Queen as a people without hope but rather, to take solace in the singular fact that Mama Sally Okwu-Kanu lived a fulfilled life here on earth, worthy of emulation. She has paid her price and had very clearly written her name on the sand of history as the womb that gave birth to and the breast that nurtured the most influential man in Africa today, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the highly intelligent, courageous and indefatigable leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), globally. A man at the command of over one hundred million (100,000,000) Biafrans residing virtually in every country on earth without the force of arms or any form of bureaucratic placement.

Late Lolo Ugoeze Sally Okwu-Kanu was a God-fearing woman. She was humane, hospitable and exceptionally loving. Whoever that was opportuned to have been close to her, would bear testimonies to these sterling qualities she lavishly exhibited. On the visit of members of Family Writers Press International to her son, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, in their palace home at Afara-Ukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, on the 1st of June 2017, it was a treat of no match from this very unique woman, rare in her kind.

We therefore very sincerely, call on the families of the royal home, Afara-Ukwu Ibeku kingdom, the entire IPOB and of course all other persons, touched and concerned by the departure of Mama Sally Okwu-Kanu, to please accept our condolences. We pray that God Almighty grace you all, with the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss, Amen.

Adieu Ugoeze!
Adieu Mama!!
Adieu Nne Oha!!!

Signed:
