DANJUMA'S PETITION TO THE UK PARLIAMENT: PLACING THE GAINS OF OIL WELLS OVER/ABOVE HUMAN LIVES
Retired General Theophilus Y. Danjuma, is a man who gained prominence in Nigeria due to the heinous crimes he committed against humanity particularly in Biafraland during his ravenous antecedents in the Nigerian military. The reality of his hidden past is gradually coming to play, confirming that the Fulani oligarchy can never ever peacefully co-exist with neighbors without subjugation and conquest. Will this man really courageously call for the dissolution of Nigeria in the light of the prevailing anomalies to enable the indigenous nations criminally lumped together in the British tragic enclave called Nigeria? The world should not forget in a hurry that this same retired General T.Y. Danjuma, from Junkun tribe of Kwararafa Kingdom in Taraba State, Middle Belt region of Nigeria, masterminded the assassination of late General J.T.U. Aguiyi Ironsi. General Ironsi served as an only Pro-Nigerian Head of State of Igbo extraction since Nigeria Independence from British colonialism in 1960. He co-served with numerous other Igbo military officers in the undeserved pogrom primarily orchestrated against Ndigbo in 1966. After this ugly event, General T.Y. Danjuma became a key player in the genocidal war Nigeria levied against the Biafran people between 1967 and 1970 wherein over eight million innocent people mostly women, children and the aged, died. This was as a result of starvation, diseases, air, land and sea blockades imposed by the Yakubu Gowon led Nigerian military government.
In fact, it was this General T.Y. Danjuma, a heartless military officer then that suggested to General Yakubu Gowon that the greatest mistake they would record was to leave any human being alive in the land of Biafra. He publicly suggested outright extermination of everyone from the Igbo tribe or Nigeria will stand the risk of heightened Biafra agitation in the future. A visit to late professor Chinua Achebe's book titled: "THERE WAS A COUNTRY", will clearly point you to the direction of T.Y. Danjuma who belongs to the company of arch-genocidists whom the late Professor of Literature listed. Others include General Yakubu Gowon, General Olusegun Obasanjo, General Murtala Mohammed, Colonel Benjamin Adekunle, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, etcetera. These were all listed with General T.Y. Danjuma for trial in the International Criminal Court (ICC), for genocide and other related war crimes committed against humanity in Biafraland between 1967 and 1970. Presently, General T.Y. Danjuma remains a war criminal awaiting the ample time he would be dragged to the International Criminal Court (ICC), to face the full weight of the law as stipulated in Roman Statute which was adopted by ICC in 1998.
These war crimes perpetrated by this man against Biafrans however, remain a topical subject for another day. The issue at stake centres on his petition to the United Kingdom Parliament wherein, he jointly with retired General Zamani Lekwot, Professor Asemota amongst others under the aegis of Nigerian Christian Elders Forum (NCEF), called on the British government to intervene in the ongoing genocidal threat, forceful Islamisation/Fulanization and Fulani killer herdsmen terrorist activities throughout the defunct Nigeria federation, which these grossly confused individuals in euphemism, still referred to as Farmers/Herders clashes. It is shamefully unfortunate that the so-called Christian Elders yet chose to sound politically correct instead of bluntly calling the evils by their real names. There has never been any chronicled report anywhere in Nigeria suggesting that peasant farmers clashed with Fulani killer herdsmen. It has rather been the blood-sucking Fulani Islamists which are under the sponsorship of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), fully empowered and protected by the Nigerian Islamic government, that are steadily ravaging/decimating communities, pillaging farmlands, desecrating ancestral lands and spilling blood at will. Can it be said then that the illegally acquired oil wells by General T.Y. Danjuma in Biafraland which he believes will loose out of his grip should Nigeria disintergrates, stand more valuable to him
than the precious lives of millions of Junkun cum other tribes within the Middle Belt region, that are helplessly facing the threat of total extermination from their ancestral lands due to the expansionist activities of these Fulani monsters? Going through the content of the said petition, one could only affirm that these hypocritical Christian elders led by arch-genocidist T.Y. Danjuma, only succeeded in putting up a lamentation regarding their haunting past misdeeds against the Biafran people. Their cry is bereft of just demand for the disintegration of Nigeria which is the only veritable panacea to the prevalent Fulani killer herdsmen terrorism and other associated menace ravaging the country. It is good for the Middle Beltans to know that the illegally acquired oil wells of General T.Y. Danjuma in Biafraland distinctively appear more important to him than their lives. This is basically why he is afraid of pointedly calling for the outright dissolution of the British murderous enclave called Nigeria.
Retired General T.Y. Danjuma had stated in 2015 that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the leadership of it's supreme commander, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, should not by their just, rightful and civilised agitations for the restoration of the sovereignty of the Biafra nation, push him back to adorning his military uniform and fight again against the Igbos. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria however, in remembering the threat of this old Army General against IPOB then in 2015, challenged him in 2018 to put back his military uniform and fight for his own people who are under the gruelling threat of extermination by the Fulanis. This followed the assertion by General T.Y. Danjuma that the Nigerian army is colluding with the Fulani herdsmen to unleash mayhem against different communities within his area. Unfortunately till date, the retired General and Biafra arch-genocidist, has suddenly become a weeping old soldier with absolutely no personal solution to the problem confronting him and his people. He is presently seeking help from the British government by singing songs of lamentation for foreign intervention. He could not muster courage as a trained military officer to frontally contend with the threat of Miyetti Allah Kautel Hore, as a tough man he claimed to be against IPOB. It is obvious that he cannot save his Junkun people by placing comprehensive demand before the British Parliament, United Nations General Assembly and other relevant global/continental parliaments for the dissolution of Nigeria, so that the indigenous people groups lumped together in an unworkable union could regain their freedom.
Close associates of General T.Y. Danjuma should advise him to toe the only path of solution he is desperately looking for which can only materialize if the dissolution of Nigeria is effected. His Junkun tribe, Tiv tribe, Alaago tribe and many others, could come together and form a separate country of theirs where the indigenous nations within the Middle Belt region of the present day Nigeria, could be accorded the deserved respect. There can never be peace in this seemingly fulanised Nigeria so long the cabals maintain their grip of power and keep lording it over other indigenous population of the Nigerian federation. There absolutely can never be peaceful co-existence, justice, progress and equity amongst the people if such an institutionalized misnomer is allowed to persist.
