THE NEED FOR IPOB FAMILY MEMBERS TO BE MORE TACTICAL
Our victory is not in Nigeria proving us right. Do not forget that we had earlier stated that Buhari has absolutely nothing to offer except destruction and people called us "lovers of corruption". We said that Nigeria cannot work and they countered it with a big NO. They told tales of how Nigeria will work under Sai Baba and shouted it to high heavens. We watched things unfold and told them pointedly clear that it is practically impossible to remove a tyrant with mere Personal Voter's Card (PVC). They called us idiots, closet Buharists and with fine/enticing essays, twisted with Grammar, asked us to "Go Get Our PVCs And Vote".
We responded that votes will not count in Nigeria and they said it is a lie. They propounded that if PVCs are nothing, politicians will not be buying them for four thousand naira (N4,000) each. What a flawed and myopic defense! Is vote buying not synonymous with rigging? Can you out-buy a political party in power as evil as the All Progressives Congress (APC)?
We said we must boycott the election and they said we were bribed by Buhari. Did we not call off the boycott when our demands were met? Then the tactless group instead of cashing into the created opportunity, started lampooning us, unguidedly saying that no demand was ever met by anybody. They said we have realized how stupid boycotting election is and that necessitated the call-off. With all the vilifications and insults, the family members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), remained steadfast, queuing behind their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in his decision to lift the ban as repeatedly promised.
The result of the charade called election is now staring all in the face and most of them are silently and shamefully wishing they boycotted it. Yes, we are always right in our approaches but note that this is not VICTORY. The much anticipated victory is the eventual total and complete restoration of the sovereign nation of Biafra where the people will be lawfully empowered to take firm hold of what rightly belongs to them. A nation where human beings will not necessarily be fighting corruption but the system will naturally work out things for itself via the instrumentality of sound/civilized laws. A nation where terrorists and terror-related activities will not be rewarded but handled according to the law. A nation where cattle herders will not be allowed to ravage communities and farmlands. It will be a nation where the sanctity of life is accorded due respect. Biafra will be a progressive nation of the rising sun and merit. This of course, will be our victory!
I therefore suggest that we do not act like the tactless Atikulators who instead of wooing the family members of IPOB, staged war against them. We should throw our arms open and welcome back into the fold, all those repentant ones that may have been soiled and bruised by the dirty events of Nigeria. They undoubtedly, have been taught the bitter lesson. We must not forget the betrayal of some of them who went prodigal, even to the extent of tarnishing the hallowed image of our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the course of it all. We surely need to display enough virtues of fatherliness by welcoming them back as they genuinely return. That is the spirit of a family.
Biafra is our only option and nothing else!
