UNITED NATIONS HOSTS INDIGENOUS PEOPLE OF BIAFRA: CREDIT TO IPOB LEADERSHIP
On Friday 14th of September 2018, news broke out that the leadership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was invited by the United Nations officially to its office in Geneva, Switzerland. Many doubted it because this is the first time such heroic move has ever taken place since the emergence of Biafra struggle. Biafrans, all over the world were filled with excitement as it was the best news ever. The long awaited news! IPOB's visit to UN is one of the wonderful things the leadership has achieved in recent times. It has proven beyond reasonable doubt that IPOB remains the only genuine freedom fighting group in the whole of Biafraland. With this great move, It has given hope to many who have lost hope in IPOB and the doubting Thomases, can see that IPOB leadership has been working round the clock to make sure that Biafra is restored. For those who have employed every means available to them, to sabotage the Biafra struggle, it hit them like a shock.
Those agents of darkness were thrown into confusion since the news broke out. They could not imagine that IPOB leadership could attain this height. They capitalize on any available means to make sure that Biafra does not see the light of the day including conniving with the Nigerian government to invade Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s residence in 2017. Since the invasion of his house, nobody knows his whereabouts and that of his parents. The Nigerian Army abducted him and his parents, killed scores of Biafrans in his house. This led to the belief by these agents that Biafra is dead. Little did they know that, IPOB is on top of the game. The struggle became more formidable than ever until the stage it is now which is the latest news of UN visit by IPOB.
Furthermore, IPOB's visit to UN has shaken the walls of Nigeria like never before. Everybody in Nigeria is now gripped with fear, because they never believed the possibility of the group they tagged as a terrorist group going to UN. When the Nigerian government in conjunction with the “Ohaneze Ndigbo” and South East governors proscribed and tagged IPOB as a terror group, little did they know that the big bombshell was about to hit them. This “Ohaneze “ group and its agents jubilated and scorned IPOB using every available platform. Lo and behold, IPOB remained focused, resolute and formidable in its quest for freedom. The result is here now for all to see. IPOB leadership has broken the strong jinx which no other group fighting for Biafra has been able to break. We thank IPOB leadership for a job well done!
From the above, it adds to our basic knowledge and understanding that the tide has changed really. IPOB is the only genuine group fighting to restore Biafra. It has what it takes to fight and every move made yields a positive result just like the UN invitation. This has also proven the statement made by the IPOB Deputy leader, Mazi Alphonsus Uchenna Okafor Mefor, that: “no man or woman will set agenda for IPOB instead we will set the agenda for them, especially the Nigerian government”. IPOB agenda, structure, approach and procedures remain the best. According to Nnamdi Kanu (2014), before the emergence of IPOB there was none like us and after IPOB, there will be none like us. IPOB will restore Biafra. We are anxiously waiting For the birth of this new nation. For UN, this is a litmus test on its side, all the Indigenous People of Biafra, worldwide are anxiously waiting for it to prove its credibility to the world.

ReplyDeleteYes, the U.N. must prove that it is mankind's strongest effort at fostering its continuity. Some other world bodies, and even some agencies of the U.N. itself, are doing great jobs. Therefore, the U.N. has to get stronger and implement its great ideas and ideals, such as the acts on self-determination, with great discipline. It is the most Godly thing to do. The U.N. should do, on the diplomatic and political fronts of life, what the W.H.O is doing in health. I shudder when I imagine what would have happened to the world and humanity if, with HIV/AIDS, Ebola,etc, there was no W.H.O. (World Health Organization). The organization must realize that the savage behaviors of some strongly positioned ethnic nations towards others is more dangerous to humanity and human existence than the HIV & AIDS scourge. They have to look at Africa as a special case and note that the borders within it have helmed un-related peoples/nations into enclaves where some, desperate to hold onto the wealth of others, now deny the citizens /generations of such weakly positioned ones the life they would have loved to live. They have a big task of ensuring that peoples, their lives, and destinies, are not shuffle and filed under some others in the name of what is called nation-building. We cannot continue to play with/risk the lives of peoples by the experimentation called nation-building. Certainly, without the U.N., the world would plunge back into the primeval days where the strong and strongly positioned eat up the weakly positioned. In fact, the world would become a Nat-Geo-Wild. But they, the U.N. have to live up to that stature.
