BIAFRA: THE ONLY HOPE FOR THE AFRICAN CONTINENT (PART 4)

BIAFRA: THE ONLY HOPE FOR THE AFRICAN CONTINENT (PART 4)

THE AFRICAN CONQUEST

The myriad of problems confronting Africa started when the continent got conquered in the hands of the whites dating back to decades of years ago. The continent suffered both spiritual and physical conquest through thievery, thereby gravely bastardising the once cherished African value system. The mentality of Africans were hacked into and erroneously reconfigured to believe the thrash that Africanism is not just fake and inconsequential but unlike their white counterparts, must accept the ridiculous second fiddle status.

Majority of the African people had hoped that the arrival of the whites on the scene, would have triggered off wholistic developmental benefits via their unreserved submission to the deceptive demands of the colonial overlords. This unfettered yieldedness resulted in the enslavement drive which Africans even up till date, are yet striving to extricate from. The advent of these colonialists in the continent, has to an extent added to the development of the people but the attendant disadvantages far outweigh whatever benefit recorded. The colonialists no doubt introduced Western kind of education and enhanced social developmental structures but surreptitiously deprived the people the right of independence.

Innumerable number of valuable mineral resources broadly deposited across the continent if advantageously and adequately maximised, can generate enormous revenue worth billions of US dollars. But colonial masters craftily harnessed these resources to service their egocentric interests without the consent of the indigenous owners of the land. Most of the Western countries employed the utilisation of these African resources to develop their economies at the detriment of the people.

At the advent of the British colonialists on the shores of West Africa particularly Nigeria, they carried out surveys of the entire Northern region predominantly occupied by the Hausa-Fulanis (Arewas). The Western part was occupied by the Oduduwas (Yorubas) while the Eastern flank was predominantly Biafrans. They however discovered that out of the very three divergent indigenous people groups, the most viable is located within Biafraland. To the colonialists, the only veritable means of actualising their objectives of covertly stealing from the people of Biafra, was the formation of a contraption for the three diverse ethnic nationalities of Arewa, Oduduwa and Biafra called Nigeria, thereby reducing in their own summation, the intimidating versatility and prowess of Biafrans.

The British amalgamated Nigeria ostensibly for their own advantage because they had the hindsight that Biafra would someday, emerge the redemptive and surviving tool for the entire continent of Africa. They connived with the Northern oligarchical cabals as willing/ready tools to enslave Biafrans amongst other Africans as we presently experience. African progenitors were criminally sold out into slavery in America, Europe, Asia, France etcetera, with many not being able to retrace their lineage back home. These men and women are today referred to as "Black Americans" particularly, whose contributions have enormously provoked insurmountable developments of their host countries instead of their countries of originality.

There has really never been records of crisis anywhere with traceable dearth of solutions and on this note, it suffices to say that the conquest of the African continent and all accompanying effects can be stemmed if Africans can determinedly and wholesomely locate the very genesis and causes of their predicaments. Great number of indigenous Africans are today clamoring for self-determination having fruitlessly strived to survive as a people within the contraptions created across the continent by the egoistic colonial masters. There exists quite a number of oppressed and marginalised indigenous nationalities ranging from East Africa, Central Africa, North Africa to West Africa. The case of the damning self-determination struggle by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, is a very unique instance of a people seeking unfettered independence from a contrapted Nigeria.

There is absolutely no better alternative to this and the time is now wherein the intelligentsia should synergize and fight with genuine freedom fighters for the salvation of their people in particular and a pool of other African countries in general. Enough has been suffered and endured from the slavish drive of these Western demigods (colonialists). The earlier this is pursued, the better for Africa. Some of the oppressed and the agitators for self-determination could imminently resort to arms conflict with more lives lost and properties worth billions of dollars lost if necessary actions are not expedited.

When Biafrans were engaged with the clamor for freedom from the British sponsored marginalization and oppression in Nigeria in the year 1966, the then Nigerian Head of State, Retired General Yakubu Gowon in criminal alliance with Britain and others, waged decimation war against the Biafran people with over 3.5 million Biafrans including children, women and men were killed. The media reneged in it's professional responsibility of giving accurate reportage of events. There was no definitive request from the United Nations, African Union nor European Union from either Britain or Nigeria to give unbiased report about the genocidal visitation dastardly carried out against the people between 1967 to 1970. The spate of gruesome killings carried out under the directives of the Nigerian Islamic fundamentalist President of Muhammadu Buhari to the Nigerian Security Operatives against thousands of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the able leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who peacefully agitated for freedom, have not yet been comprehensively investigated and punished. So many were maimed while others were arrested  and extra-judicially incarcerated in different detention cells across Nigeria.

The salvation of Africa from the yoke and bondage of Western induced enslavement, starts from the comprehensive restoration of the sovereignty of Biafra because it is in Biafra, that Africa died. The restoration of Biafra most essentially, will trigger off the unprecedented freedom and restoration of the continent of Africa. Therefore, let Africans and all lovers of freedom globally, stand up shoulder to shoulder with Biafrans to nip in the board, this seeming endemic catastrophe bedevilling the African continent. There can never be a better time than now.
