BIAFRA: EXTRA-JUDICIAL DETENTION OF IPOB WOMEN, COGNITIVE EVIDENCE FOR BIAFRA INDEPENDENCE

BIAFRA: EXTRA-JUDICIAL DETENTION OF IPOB WOMEN, COGNITIVE EVIDENCE FOR BIAFRA INDEPENDENCE

The unlawful arrest, harassment, torture, molestation and detention of Biafra women in Owerri prison as shamelessly perpetrated by the Nigerian Islamic Police Force are to say the least, most callous, inhuman and humiliating. The Hausa-Fulani slave governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha in the bid to satisfy the cravings of Sokoto Caliphate, supervised the carriage of this despicable acts, obviously presenting irrefutable reasons why Biafra independence remains exceptionally sacrosanct. Rochas Okorocha, a power monger and an ardent breaker of the provisions of the law, committed millennial sacrilege by ordering that our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters be subjected to grades of dehumanisation. The women of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) who converged on Friday 17th August 2018, in Owerri for a peaceful protest demanding for the whereabouts of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents, were arrested, tortured, detained, starved, arraigned in court and remanded in prison custody, under the command of fulanised security operatives. The women were eventually released on Thursday 23rd of August 2018, almost a week after, following spates of human right abuses. This is an additional proof that nobody in the global community can feign ignorance to why Biafrans all over the world are resiliently and defiantly insisting that Biafra sovereignty and independence be comprehensively restored.

There is absolutely no kind of heinous crime that the Nigerian government has not committed against the people of Biafra ranging from extra-judicial arrests, incarcerations, maimings and killings of peaceful/unarmed agitators, to policies of economic strangulation/emasculation. Within Biafraland, are brazen scores of infrastructural eyesore bedevilling the entire territory coupled with political victimization of Biafran elites. The greatest oppressive show of impunity and inhumanity against the people however, remains the heinous detention of Biafran women for almost seven days in both police and prison custodies. The women including the elderly, the pregnant and the breastfeeding, had to cope with the  ordeals without taking their bath. This was the extent of despotic treatments meted on our women by Rochas Okorocha -  the Imo State Governor, in order to service the interests of his slavemasters in the presidency vis-a-vis Sokoto Caliphate with the criminal support of Ohaneze Ndigbo led by John (Judas) Nnia Nwodo and other complicit Southeast governors. To them, the IPOB women have to be punished for daring to protest demanding for the unconditional/immediate release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents from wherever they are kept. It beats one's imagination to question the conscience of Human Rights Organisations in the face of these degrading treatments even to the women whose health conditions are not only fragile but were denied every sanitary convenience  for 24 hours for seven good days. This spate of inhuman treatments were what these Biafran women were subjected to in the hands of Rochas Okorocha for being democratically civil.

Governor Rochas Okorocha, Fulani Police Commissioner Dansuki Galandanchi, other Southeast governors and their hawkish Ohaneze Ndigbo led by John (Judas) Nnia Nwodo have climaxed In their wickedness and subterfuge against the people of Biafra. It is important to bring to the notice of the world that there exists virtually no commensurate amount of compensation that can assuage the pains, heartbreaks and grudges in these overbearing Biafran women and their people. The inherent hostilities that have been perpetuated by this band of Nigerian Jihadistic Police Force under the control of Rochas Okorocha on our mothers can never ever be appeased except the unconditional/ immediate release from secretive custody of the IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his aged parents is effected and Biafra independence, unfetteredly restored. They were abducted and taken to mysterious destination and held incommunicado since their residence was murderously invaded by the Boko Haram infested Army of Nigeria on 14th of September 2017. As it seemingly appears that human rights groups are pressing demands for government's compensation for the Biafra women, illegally detained and tagged terrorists in Owerri Magistrate Court, it is also pertinent to remind the genocidal Nigerian government that the only short term appeasement for which the IPOB women protested, is to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and his parents immediately and as well, commence the facilitation of Biafra independence which is an integral/principal cause of the protest.

It should be clearly stated here that without the restoration of Biafra sovereignty, the Nigerian government will continue in their desperate impunity against Biafrans in Biafraland. The callous detention and bizarre hostilities criminally carried out against our mothers for merely exercising their fundamental rights through peaceful means is clearly evidential that Biafrans are unwanted in Nigeria and therefore has no other option than to assert their right to self-determination (sovereign nationhood), just as the Jews formed the State of Israel which they rightly and unequivocally call theirs today after the annihilative holocaust instigated against them by Nazi Germany in 1948.

Recall that prior to the formation of the State of Israel, there were myriads of inhuman and degrading treatments meted on them which are synonymously same with what Biafrans are oppressively going through in the hands of the Nigerian government and it's agents/allies. In today's world, the nation of Israel and the Israelis are accorded total respect in every facet of life. Should the Sovereign State of Biafra be formed today in accordance with the demands of the Biafran people globally, despite the attendant molestations, massacres, illicit detentions senseless maimings and killings by the Nigerian government's orchestrated annihilative policies, the much desired relative peace and progress will definitely return to the West African sub-region particularly and to the African continent generally. The ball is presently in the court of the world including the President of the United States of America - Donald John Trump and his Israeli counterpart, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyaho, to hastily synergize and pressure the Nigerian government to accord due respect to international laws and protocols governing self-determination. The full restoration of Biafran Independence and sovereignty must be effected if the much anticipated peace, justice and freedom would be given their right places globally.
