Tuesday 12th of June 2018, remarkably opens another chapter in human history as President Donald Trump of the United States of America met with his North Korean counterpart, Kim Jung Un in Singapore. This all important meeting was precipitated on the need to arrest the rapidly deteriorating peace in the Korean peninsula alongside denuclearization deal. Recall that for over 50 years of a dangerously elusive peace between South Korea, North Korea and the entire region, President Trump has exceptionally become the first US President to exchange handshake with the North Korean leader after brokering peace that will eventually usher in the much needed denuclearization of North Korea. For President Donald Trump to be standing side by side with the North Korean leader Kim Jung Un in Singapore purposely for a Peace Summit is a tacit indication that the US President is realistically, God sent. His emergence on the scene is principally to arrest all phenomenon of security threats to peace, globally.
Based on this premise therefore, the people of Biafra worldwide, while commending this giant stride of President Trump through pragmatic diplomatic requisitions and consultations, are unanimously calling on the United States President to beam his searchlight on the West African sub-region also for justice and peace. This is where Biafra agitation is rapidly becoming a global phenomenon which if not proactively addressed, will snowball into an unprecedented global crisis. Biafrans are hereby calling on the attention of President Trump to boldly and courageously wade into the Biafra restoration question as he did in the Korean nuclear conflict. The Nigerian Islamic government has bluntly refused to employ democratic approaches as clearly required by International laws in addressing the Biafra agitation. It is necessary to bring to the notice of the US President that the Nigerian government has steadily and indiscriminately applied the use of lethal weapons and excessive military force in dealing with peaceful Biafran agitators, who within the ambit of both local and international laws, are freely exercising their rights of demand for a referendum. It is through this civilised process that Biafrans all over the world, could declare their political future themselves via the instrumentality of the ballot. The US President should decisively wade into the Biafran issue as presently and tenaciously being championed by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide. This has now become the biggest phenomenon threatening the peace within the African continent. The resultant effect of this anomaly can only just be imagined as the Nigerian government through it's security operatives employ the use of excessive force and lethal weapons, leading to the deaths of thousands of the people of Biafra with related forced disappearances of non-violent agitators. This if not checked, will most assuredly metamorphose from civil agitation into catastrophic armed conflict.
During his Peace Summit with the North Korean leader Kim Jung Un, President Trump pointedly stated and I quote "everybody can make war, but it is only the most courageous that can make peace". The US President should be aware that the reality of this his statement is evidenced in Nigeria as the government has unrelentlessly been beating the drums of war against the civilised approaches the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have so far adopted. The IPOB has meticulously toed the path of peace in it's quest regardless of the repressive wave of killings, maimings and detentions of it's members in Nigeria. It is in keeping with this peaceful approach that the IPOB is calling on his Excellency, the President of the United States of America, Mr. Donald John Trump, to as a matter of expediency, prevail on the Nigerian government to respect international laws and protocols governing self-determination and allow the conduction of peaceful and acceptable referendum. As he has pragmatically arrested the elusive peace in the Korean peninsula, let him courageously extend such a gesture for global peace, to the West African sub-region on the Biafran restoration drive. He should bring his influence to bear upon this "explosive dynamite" to stem the unexpected. The Biafra exit via a referendum has no option. The body language of President Donald Trump clearly shows that he is God's choice man sent to broker peace in the world's troubled regions. A clarion call is being issued out from West Africa by the Biafran people for a repeat of the feat that has diplomatically been established in the Korean peninsula. Biafrans need Trump's intervention in their resilient campaign for the unfettered restoration of the sovereignty of the nation of Biafra.
