REMEMBRANCE OF BIAFRAN HEROES AND NIGERIA INDEPENDENT DAY: WHICH ONE IS HONORABLE?

REMEMBRANCE OF BIAFRAN HEROES AND NIGERIA INDEPENDENT DAY: WHICH ONE IS HONORABLE?

It is extremely callous and disappointing that the Nigerian government and her foreign allies led by Britain will carry out gruesome  massacres against Biafrans ever known in human history and yet expect the same victims to participate in the celebration of her independence.

In the year 1960, according to history, Nigeria got her political independence from the British, thus creating a complicit vista of domination and impoverishment against Biafrans. Important question bugging the minds of the enlightened remains: what really prompted the creation of Nigeria by Frederick Lugard? The answer to this question is not far fetched either. The creation of Nigeria resulted from the selfish interests of the British and this was the fundamental reason behind the genocidal war waged against Biafrans between 1967 to 1970. And to put a seal on their evil machinations, the Islamic North (stooges) extending to their Chadian Islamic brethren, got commissioned by their British slavemasters, to perpetuate the exertion of their dominance and enslavement policies against the Biafran people even up till date.

Today being Tuesday 29th of May 2018, Nigerians marked their Democracy Day with an observation of a public holiday. One then begins to wonder if killing, maiming, abduction and incarceration of Biafrans particularly, are part of the so-called democracy of an independent country that should be celebrated. Many Biafrans right from 1945 till today have been gruesomely massacred in this British contraption called Nigeria. The Nigerian government, through the instrumentality of her murderous foreign allies staged three years war of attrition against Biafrans and our gallant warriors (Fallen Heroes and Heroines) stood in defense of their fatherland and brethren with their lives. And up till date, even the so-called democratic Nigeria has not relented in the decimation of Biafran youths, men and women. Many are yet languishing in prisons and other secret detention cells across the country without trials. Nigeria is a disgrace to humanity where there is absolutely nothing to celebrate besides pains, sorrows and slavery.

The high command of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has mandatorily declared 30th of May annually, Biafran Heroes and Heroines Remembrance Day. It is exceptionally sacrosanct, wherein every Biafran especially in Biafraland, reflectively make observation on the priceless sacrifices of our gallant warriors who laid down their lives that we may live. It is a day of total and complete lockdown of activities with a "Sit-At-Home" as ordered by the IPOB leadership. All human, business and vehicular traffics are on a standstill. All those killed by Nigeria with the British led invaders and those yet undergoing various shades of torture and persecution for the Biafra restoration project, are being exceptionally remembered.

We as Biafrans must say "EMPHATIC NO" to all hypocritical celebrations of Nigeria. We must resist the genocidal orgy of violence targeted against Biafrans for justifiably exercising their inalienable rights as a people. We must resiliently reject a place that has nothing to offer and take care of our future and that of our upcoming generations.

30th of May remains Biafrans day of remembrance of our fallen and living Heroes and Heroines. We must not take light, the invaluable sacrifices of own people. Let us do the expected in according them due respect and honor.

God bless Biafra!
