RESUMPTION OF FULANI HERDSMEN ATTACK IN BIAFRALAND

RESUMPTION OF FULANI HERDSMEN ATTACK IN BIAFRALAND

It was really challenging and dangerous getting back to Enugu from Lokoja after a very strenuous business trip occasioned by dilapidated Federal road linking Kogi and Enugu States. At about 9:30pm while approaching the boundary between the two states, we encountered a middle aged man screaming and desperately flagging down our vehicle as if in need of an assistance. Because of the danger associated with this road due to the activities of armed robbers and kidnappers, our driver objected to stopping for the man but for our pacification.

"Thank God you stopped to render this assistance to me", the man exclaimed. "I have been in this nearby forest for the past two weeks without food or water", the man further explained, in a very weak voice. I and others were kidnapped by heavily armed Fulani militias on our way back from Abuja. Some of us were shot dead at the spot. Few of us were abducted and taken to the forest. They demanded a ransom of N20 million (twenty million Naira) from each and every one of us, refusal of which would attract summary execution (instant death). As fate may have it, I was then left out of this hook by our captors to go and get N10 million based on agreement they reached with my family, as my my elder brother who is a medical doctor was still in their custody. They threatened to kill him if after the expiration of 24 hours, the N10 million ransom was not paid. This is just one out of many such incidents that happen around us.

The numerous inhuman and murderous acts being perpetrated by these sponsored  Fulani herdsmen (terrorists) notwithstanding, Nigerian government has never deemed it fit to condemn their attacks within the South-East region. Some weeks back, about 70 persons who were mowed down by these Fulani vampires were massively buried in Benue State. The whole world has now come to terms with the high level of barbarism being unleashed upon the Biafran population in Nigeria by these Islamic invaders cum terrorists called Fulani herdsmen. The Nigerian government under Muhammadu Buhari has refused to tag them a terrorist organization but instead, Nigerians have been urged to handle them with kid gloves.

This is the hypocrisy of the Buhari led federal government. While tagging the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the world acclaimed most peaceful, well organized, highly enlightened and disciplined Indigenous mass movement in the entire global community as a terrorist organization,  he has blatantly refused to christen same on the 4th most deadliest terrorist organization according to the world terrorism index report. Not less than 20 - 30 Boko Haram terrorists who the government claimed have repented, regained their freedom in Nigeria while thousands of Biafrans are still being incarcerated in various dungeons, others are either killed, maimed or regrettably untraceable.

We hereby call on the International community to wade into the decimation plots of IPOB members by the agents of the Nigerian government. All those abducted and kept in different prison custodies, must have to be released without further delay. Peacefully agitating for self-determination is never a crime in law and so Biafrans are exceptionally doing the needful in that respect. We need justice and freedom.
