ENDLESS TRIALS, ENDLESS POSTPONEMENT BY BINTA NYAKO, THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT JUDGE

ENDLESS TRIALS,  ENDLESS POSTPONEMENT BY BINTA NYAKO, THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT JUDGE

By Solomon Iwejuo
For Family Writers Press.

It is no longer news that Nigerian government has vowed to suppress any opinion that will uphold fairness, justice, equity in Nigeria using what ought to be called a court of competent jurisdiction. No wonder this is so because Nigeria in the first place was born out of selfishness and nepotism by a conspired intelligent colonial Master called Lord Lugard who noticed the natural and  unshakable intelligence of the Eastern Nigeria, known as Biafra. It has become an evil tradition that any case which will put the existence of Nigeria into beam of truths are always resisted and referred to as terrorism, treasonable felony and even a sentence to death by the powers that be. How can there be peace without fairness, justice, equity and regards to Human Rights that is void intimidations?

Binta Nyako
This inhumane maltreatment in Nigeria is highly encouraged by Nigerian judiciary without minding its implications before the entire world. The court all over the world are known to be the last hope of the common man, but in Nigeria it is not so. Nigerian court has dashed the hope of the common man by encouraging and engaging in an unending trials and endless adjournments thereby making it possible for money, wish of politicians, wish of the government in power and parochial religious interest thrive and as the tools and beneficiaries of justice in Nigeria.

It is painful to have been born in a country where human beings are seen and maltreated lower than animals. Nigeria as a country depends on ideas formulated by countries that respect Human Rights and uphold high level of democracy tenets. But many have  wondered why Nigeria cannot implement what they have copied from these countries. Since Nigerian courts are now hijacked by politicians, by people in power for selfish and parochial religious motives, there is a serious problem, and that's the reason for the endless trials, endless postponement and injustice against the people and those IPOB presently held in prisons.

The trials of Benjamin Madubugwu and two others who have been in kuje prison for more than two years has faced numberless postponement and endless adjournments for flimsy excuses from the government. Every time, it's either they are adjourning the case for flimsy reasons, amending the charges or they are bringing up another unfounded charges just to deny them bail and their Human Rights enshrined in the same constitution they always use as reference.

Let it be noted that the Nigerian government do not have cogent and any verified cases/charges against them. It is now an internal war between Muslims and Christians. No wonder, the case was assigned to a core Northern Muslim who has agreed to sell her integrity just to tarnish the image of the court. The world can now testify the level of inhumane maltreatment aided by Nigerian court against these men Benjamin Madibugwu and the other two unjustly held in Kuje prison. Binta Nyako the presiding judge has shown high level of intolerable concern,. She has painted badly the image of the Nigerian court  before the world as an agent of injustice where darkness instead of light prevail. Nigerian judiciary should as matter of urgency carry out reformation and reorganisation that will uphold justice and equity.

Time to release ALL IPOB detainees who have committed no offence is now, as there be will no room to tolerate endless postponement and endless trials of Indigenous people of Biafra by Nigerian government anymore.
