NIGERIA THE PLIGHT OF AFRICA, BIAFRA THE GIANT OF AFRICA

It is glaringly clear and an indisputable truth that Nigeria is under spiritual chestaizement. Nigeria has been besieged with unimaginable plaque which has gone beyond redemption. As Nigeria is popularly called the giant of Africa, it would be said that the reverse is now the case, Nigeria can be preferably said to be the plight of Africa. Being the most populated West African state, Nigeria has remained stagnant and has produced more misfortunes and vises than fortune. Nigeria is the only state that produced the first and fourth most deadly terror groups in the world, the only African, West African and ECOWAS member state to produce the most dangerous terrorist groups. These terror groups was birthed not just in Nigeria but in the Northern part of Nigeria where sharia and Islam reigns' supreme.
The Islamic jihadistic Northern oligarchy, created the rampaging Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen (first and fourth terror groups respectively) terrorists that have ravaged the North and South beyond repair. It is on the world record that the Boko Haram terrorists with impunity, embarked on wanton destruction of innocent citizen's lives, as well as their properties while millions have been rendered homeless to become Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) or refugees in a country they call theirs. There has been news making rounds that the terrorist group- Boko Haram was purportedly being sponsored by the Northern Nigerian elites and since then, these Northern elites have not come out in the open to refute it. It is also an undeniable truth that the federal government of Nigeria is aiding and abating the terror group, hence their unjustifiable, unconditional and unconstitutional release from detention without allowing the law to take its course or for justice to prevail.
Furthermore, the destructive nature of Fulani herdsmen masquerading as cow rearers can not be overemphasized. This fourth world most deadly terror group, heavily armed to the teeth, wielding various weapons of mass destruction, has their daily business in killing, raping, kidnapping for ransom and inhumane destruction of homes, farms and it's proceeds. In today's Nigeria, this terror group- Fulani herdsmen kill, maim, and butcher innocent and law abiding citizens, yet none of them have been apprehended or arrested and made to face the full weight of the law of the land even as the Nigerian government has continued to turn blind eyes in their evil and dehumanizing activities. The recent raping and beheading of a woman who incidentally was a farmer in Edo state without government intervention is a case in point.
Be is as it may, the stateless Nigeria since independent, her political elites has been parading her as the giant of Africa, thereby deceiving gullible Nigerians here and there. Right from conception, nothing has been working right in Nigeria, everything the evil British empire built for her citizens have all decayed, even as the actions and inactions of the political elites have continued to victimize and impoverish the masses, while their families live in affluent overseas. They loot the treasury and siphon monies meant for various health, economic and infrastructural development projects of their respective states and local government areas. They live flamboyantly as slave masters at the detriment of the masses who serve them as slaves. Nothing potently have been done to alleviating and elevating the sufferings of the poor masses.
As a matter of fact, Nigeria only depend on oil to sustain the political class or elites. In Nigeria today, 90% of oil wells/block are owned be the Northern Nigerian elites. The North since inception, has remained in power, yet the Northern part of Nigeria is the most underdeveloped area in Nigeria with the worst delapidated buildings and poorly equipped health institutions. Simply put that they are in power for personal embezzlement and aggrandizement. Fifty six (56) national budgets or so have passed the Nigerian National Assembly without any improvements and achievements. No infrastructure, no social amenities, no rural and urban development. Urbanisation of rural areas have become a mission impossible while unemployment is still waging a war and waxing stronger by the day.
Nigeria in recent times, has been rated low as regards to upholding human rights of her citizens. Undoubtedly, the fundamental human rights of Biafrans have been violated by the Nigerian government with impunity. Biafrans in all intent have become endangered species in their own land. The illegal arrest and unlawful incarceration of Biafra activists in different prison cells in Nigeria is a case that has become worrisome, even as the leader of Indigenous People Of Biafra Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has tested the bitter waters but triumphed at last through his conditional release on bail albeit stringent. Therefore, Nigeria is presumably an unapologetic human rights abuser or violator. In a simple parlance, Nigeria could be considered presumptuous when it comes to human rights.
Conclusively, it defies all sincerity with the aforementioned unpleasantness and other antecedents for Nigeria to be called the giant of Africa regardless of her mammoth population. Nigeria has become a failed state whom from it's ashes a sovereign nation Biafra will the birthed. Nigeria is the plight of Africa that has nothing to offer to the continent other than terror and vises. The rebirth of Biafra nation will be the last hope of Africa that will precipitate the total emancipation from the shackles of Western colonialism which have subjected them to perpetual slavery. Therefore, Biafra when wholly restored will be the giant of Africa.
