Verified information reaching the news desk of Family Writers has it that officials of the Nigeria Police Force have arrested a good number of Biafran activists at Igweocha(Portharcourt), Rivers state.
The Biafra activists were reportedly arrested as a result of evangelism and sensitization rally organized by IPOB Okpulor Zone II on April 2, 2017, at Diamond Estate Okpulor, Umuebulu Etche, in Rivers state.
The deputy coordinator of the zone, Mr. Izuchukwu Agu who spoke with Family Writers revealed that the whereabouts of some of his activists remains unknown till date. According to him, some personnel of the Nigeria Police Force had on the order of the DPO of the Area, SP Mary Iheanacho, stormed their meeting venue on April 15, 2017 and abducted one Mr. Victor Ogiebe who was actively involved during the sensitization rally.
"One of our own was arrested yesterday, 15 April 2017 by the Nigerian police at our family meeting venue located at UMUEBULU 1 ETCHE, opposite UMUEBULU POLICE STATION,
"Reason of arrest is that we carried out our BIAFRAN EVANGELICAL OUTREACH within the vicinity of UMUEBULU on 2nd April 2017, one of our own whom was arrested is Victor Ogiebe, a block molder and the care taker of our meeting vicinity," the deputy coordinator of the IPOB zone, Mr. Izuchukwu Agu stated during a chat with Family Writers.
Meanwhile, recent reports gathered by Family Writers has it that the recently arrested activist has been subjected to inhumane conditions ever since his abduction by the Nigeria Police officials who have denied him access to food and visitors, even as he has been reportedly transferred to Rivers state CID.
"Yesterday night they refused us giving him food around 7pm. We also went there this morning to give him food but when we inquired for the IPO that is handling the case, they said it has not been assigned to any IPO,
"We were told he has been transferred to the state CID Rivers state headquarters at Moscow road GI department, on the order of the Commissioner of police River state, CP Zaki Ahmed," the deputy coordinator of the IPOB zone told Family Writers.
This latest development is one of the many recorded cases of series of attacks and suppression continually perpetrated against Biafra activists by Nigeria security agents in the country.
Mr. Izuchukwu Agu, while speaking on behalf of his zone, called on the international community and all lovers of freedom and democracy to call the Nigeria government and its security henchmen to order over the gross violation of the human rights of Biafrans in Nigeria.
Also, It will also be recalled that on February 6, 2017, Federal high court Abuja by Justice Binta Nyako delivered a ruling stating that IPOB is not an illegal organization.

What is wrong with this shapeless ammoiba as woman? Hasn't she heard that IPOB is not an unlawful organization? I suggest that the coordinators write it out in bold form and in all the languages that exists in BIAFRA LAND that IPOB NOT UNLAWFUL ORGANIZATIO "Justice Binta Nyako" Paste it everywhere so that both those who can't read English can read it in their own language.
