ICHABOD: THE NIGERIA VERSION OF LOST GLORY

Ichabod was the son of Phinehas and the grandson of Eli, the priest of the Lord in Shiloh. The two sons of Eli, Phinehas and Hophni died in a battle with the Philistines who captured the Ark of the Covenant and took it away from Israel.  Upon hearing this terrible news, Eli fell backward off his chair, broke his neck and died. Phinehas’s pregnant wife went into labor and gave birth to a son, whom she named Ichabod, which means "The glory has departed from Israel, for the ark of God has been captured"
The word Ichabod literally means “inglorious” or “there is no glory,” and in her pain and despair, the woman (who is unnamed in Scripture) lamented over the loss of the glory of God from Israel.

The glory of God is used to describe God’s favor and blessings toward His people. In the Holy Book, God’s glory is seen as a pillar of fire and cloud that followed the Israelites during the exodus from Egypt, guiding and guarding them. Once the Ark of the Covenant was built and placed in the tabernacle in the wilderness, and later in the temple in Jerusalem, God’s glory resided there as a symbol of His presence among His people. When the Ark was captured by the Philistines, the glory departed from the Israelites—Ichabod became a reality.

Christ later refers to the concept of the glory of God leaving Israel in His last message to the populace of Israel, where His final word to the religious leaders was “Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. Look, your house is left to you desolate”. That was His final statement of judgment on Israel for the rejection of their Messiah. He has indicted their leaders and by indicting the leaders, indicted all the people who followed the leaders. And now He says their house is left desolate—Ichabod, the glory is departing.

Why would the glory of God depart from Nigeria?
The glory of God has departed from Nigeria because of the way people are been massacred on daily basis, it is only in Nigeria that you discover killing as a hobby. Everyday people are killed in thousands and her government is not doing anything to stop the killings. Those who claimed they are leaders, protecting the lives of their citizens are the same people that bought guns and ammunitions to kill her citizens. The seizeless killings in Nigeria are signs that the glory of God has departed from Nigeria. Nigeria today is known as the most dangerous place in the word for Christians to live due to the high rate of killings.

Bribery and corruption has made the glory of God depart from Nigeria. It is only in Nigeria that corruption is been celebrated and honoured. Another name for Nigerian police is corruption; there is corruption in all nook and cranny in Nigerian, the presidency being the pacesetter.

The glory of God departed from Nigeria because of the way the citizen's fundamental human rights are being trampled upon The so called leaders do not obey court orders, over two thousand Nigerians are in DSS custody  for over 5 years without trials and the so called judges turns their judgments upside down to receive favour from their pay masters.

The glory of God departed from Nigeria because Nigeria is not safe for Him to dwell in. Nigeria was never a country created by the Almighty God, it's a country created by a mere mortal- Fedrick Lugard with so many problems in it. According to the governor of Ekiti state Peter Ayodele Fayose, he described Nigeria as a hell hole for Christians. Rev. Fr. Felix Akam also described Nigeria as a Fulani Empire. It is a Zoological Republic according to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the late President Muhammadu Buhari once described it as a place filled with Baboons and Monkeys.

George Orwell of Animal Farm said “In a time of deceit telling the truth is revolutionary; it was as if he had Nigeria in his thought when he made this statement.  Truth has become a revolutionary in Nigeria, if you say the truth in Nigeria today, you will be arrested or kidnapped and thrown into DSS custody or Kuje prison.

The high rate of hunger in Nigeria today has never being experienced since it was created by the British, it is a sure sign that the glory of God has departed. The inhuman attitude of Nigeria leaders today is a great sign that the glory of God has departed the extravagant lives of the so called Reverends and Pastors today in Nigeria is a sign that the glory of God has departed from Nigeria.

Woe to him that builds a town with blood, and prepared a city by iniquity, for the people shall labour in a great fire and the nations in vain, and they shall faint, thus says the Lord of host, Chukwu Okike Abiama.

May you not be counted as a hindrance to Biafra restoration. Biafra is the kingdom of Chukwu Okike Abiama on earth, the glory we all await.
