Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu granted bail with conditions

Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu granted bail with conditions

Published by Family Writers

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has been granted bail by the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Tuesday.

Kanu was granted bail on health grounds.

The IPOB leader is also expected to provide three sureties one of whom must be a serving Senator, a Jewish religious leader and highly respected person, who own land anywhere in Abuja.

The bail bond has been set at N100 million for each surety.

Kanu was also ordered never to grant any interviews to the press, pending the outcome of his trial. He will not be seen in a gathering of more than 10 people.

Justice Binta Nyako made it clear that Kanu’s bail will be revoked, if any of the orders are flouted.

However, the other accused persons were denied bail. According to Justice Nyako, treasonable felony – the charges against them is a serious offence against the state.

  2. This is no bail; it’s simply a tactic to keep Mazi Kanu incarcerated. Where is he going to find a Senator, popular Christian Leader and Jewish Rabbi to put a surety of N100m each and one with landed property? In addition, he cannot be in the company of more than 10 people. His family members alone will surpass that not to add friends and followers. Moreover, his British passport is seized. Where is he going to get quality healthcare in Nigeria – a country with chronic health-care system. This is simply a ploy to keep him in prison. How long are we, Biafrans going to endure this oppression by the Hausa-Fulani? These people are taking us for granted. Enough of this foolishness. It’s time to end this game. We are not same people and we are hated so much in Nigeria. Justice Binta is a disgrace to the judiciary and she should be removed from this case immediately before hell break loose.

  4. My fellow Biafrans I write from Lagos and through out today I have following the court case on Biafra herald news and Biafra time news as well. The first I read about the jamboree and kangaroo bail granted to our leader mazi Nnamdi kanu and the conditions under which this bail was given I need not be told the game and plan behind it all. Let this be known to all biafrans now that they should rejoice for this fake and wicked and conspiracy bail granted but rather,we should get more smater than them. This woman bingo nkita ara is joking with her life, however it is a well known fact about these Hausa Fulani how really stubborn they can be. I was so angry reading her jagons as her order which Nnamdi Kanu must adhere to otherwise she will revoke the case. What an animal in human garb. The northern Nigeria is pushing us more than we can swallow for we are almost running out patience and would soon ni longer endure this wickedness anymore.hell will let loose soon upon them if they think they can continue to play with our intelligence. Left for me I would prefer us to shake and sink this zoo with no mercy look at this poor hopeless animalistic entities call arewa playing with our intelligence people with no common brain to think as every other normal human beings and they want to cow us down.my point here is that is time we do the needful now because this northerners are as far stubborn than goat the only language they understand is violence as they do not know nor understand diplomatic way of doing things.i am just very angry reading this useless woman's bail conditions on our leaders.she has been weighed and found wanted. May be she think she is a god or goddess she has touched the tail of a sleeping lion by accepting to handle this case in the first place and is this same case which she has involved her self in will consume her head.

  5. This bail is both good and bad. The bail is good but the conditions are awful. As a matter of fact, some of the conditions like restricting his freedom of speech, association, etc., are unconstitutional. The Barrister for Mazi Kanu must appeal it. This Sharia judge and tyrant Buhari are playing smart. The conditions for this bail are simply awful, hateful, and hard to fulfill. Where are the Igbo leaders? Why do they allow this kind of evil and wickedness to be carried on their son, who’s clearly correct in calling for self-determination? Does it mean we must all be enslaved and Islamized in our own land? When will they stand up to stop this impunity and arrogance?

  6. The Nigerian Criminal Justice System is a pure joke. This is a system that releases murderous Hausa/Fulani Herdsmen and Boko Haram terrorists on Own Recognizance, but places a stregent bail conditions for innocent Biafrans. Shame to Nigeria and Britain. Be ready, Biafra must come.
