FW: Sir, we are happy to have an aged man like you in our midst today. This shows that the current struggle is not driven by young people only. Please may we know your name and the part of Biafra land you come from?
MAZI: my name is Mazi Godwin Chidebelu, I am from Ukuzu in Oyi L.G.A Anambra Biafra land.
FW: thank you Mazi. Please do you live here in Abuja and what do you do for a living?
MAZI: yes, I live in Abuja and I am a furniture maker
FW: we heard your words of encouragement during the course of the General meeting and sensed that you might be one of the Biafran veterans. Please can you tell us what you perceived about Biafra restoration under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu?
MAZI: the truth is this; I was twenty-five years old when the war broke out. I suffered so much. We lost everything we had. Our people were massacred in millions by the Nigerian army led by Yakubu Gowon. So many children starved to death as a result (paused, shook his head). That brutal war is not worth remembering because it brings back memories which cannot be forgotten. I am very glad now that the genuine struggle to restore our identity, Biafra, has begun under the leadership of our son Nnamdi Kanu . I see seriousness in him and a leader who cannot compromise. Now that our son is here to restore Biafra, we must have our freedom.
FW: Mazi, you made mention of genuine struggle to restore Biafra, has there been any such struggle in the past, by who?
MAZI: Yes, there was a struggle to restore Biafra in the past. That struggle was under the leadership of Ralph Uwazurike and it was fake, filled with massive fraud. He deceived so many of us and used the struggle for his own selfish gains. He was among those trained by His Excellency, Col Ojukwu but he threw us into the bush and pursued wealth using Biafra until Chukwuokike Abiama sent a true and genuine leader, Nnamdi Kanu, to us who will lead us to the Promised Land
FW: Do you believe Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is the genuine leader or are you here to compare him to others?
MAZI: I am not here for any form of comparison. I am here for Biafra under the leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. I am an old man now. What I see as I stand here, you cannot see even standing on the iroko tree. I have seen Nnamdi. I see transparency, truthfulness, resoluteness, steadfastness in him. He cannot be compared to any other person anywhere in the whole of Biafra land. The wisdom Chukwuokike gave me made me to know that he is the right person to lead us to restore Biafra and I strongly believe in him.
