Biafra is a nation of Indigenous People in west Africa near the Gulf of Guinea of Atlantic ocean. The Indigenous people in a geographical location called Biafra have their aborigines as the Igbos in the east, Igala and Idoma at the northern part of the nation while the Ijaw, Ogoni, Itsekiri, Ibibio, Efik, Annang, Urhobo and Igbanke are located at the southern part of the nation popularly called Niger Delta area in Nigeria.These aborigines of Biafra are very peaceful and hardworking people anywhere they are as they do in every part of the earth. Biafra nation existed in two occasions but her national structures and governments have always been destroyed by allien forces of terror.
The first period of time when Biafra existed was from 1472 - 1898, but British colonnial explorers destroyed the structure and established colonnial administration. Later in 1967 - 1970, Biafra nation was restored by the then Nigeria military officer of Biafra extraction, Col. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu but the newly restored nation met a strong military resistance via genocidal war waged against her by the Nigerian state which was supported by Britain, USSR, Egypt and other Arab nations. The then generation of Biafrans later relinquished the sovereignty of the Biafran state due to genocidal war which was targeted at exterminating all Biafrans from the face of the earth. Presently, there is an unstoppable and unshakeable demand for the final restoration of Biafra. It is a crusade being led by the ebulient leader of Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu De Great, who has been illegally held in detention by Nigeria government since October 2015 for championing the self determination of the Biafran people. Needless to begin to list all forms of dehumanising treatments being meted on Biafrans on daily basis due to cry for Biafra restoration. However, there are so many benefits which the western world stands to gain in a restored Biafra nation. In this article, i am going to list some of the benefits derivable by western world from restored Biafra nation.
(1) Biafra nation is going to be a big asset to the western world in particular and entire world in general due to abundant mineral and human resources in the land. Biafra is the only Indigenous people in the world supplying the highest number of human resources in all fields of endavour such as Philip Emeagwali (computer science), Mazi Uche Mefor (information technology), Sandie Okoro, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala (political economy), Nigeria sports men and women of Biafra extraction (sports), Late Prof Chinua Achebe and many others still living (literature), Cardinal Francis Arinze of Vatican city (religion). In the sovereign Biafra state, we are ready to supply more human resources that will be a blessing to the universe. Needless to list mineral resources in Biafraland because Biafrans are more interested in human resources than any mineral resources.
(2) Biafra nation is not going to depend on the aids from western world in order to survive just as the gasping Nigeria. Biafra can never be a liability to the western world just like Nigeria. Biafra government will be mapping out huge amount of capital on our annual budget towards aiding of poor nations in Africa and beyond. Instead of surviving under the mercy of the western world, we will join the western world in making life easier for humanity.
(3) Biafra nation is going to be the most peaceful nation free of terrorism that will attract foreign and local investors to have confidence in our national security and invest in our land . The crisis in the coastal region of Biafra at the moment is artificially created by the Nigeria government to paint us black. It is worthy of emulation that there's no Biafran from all the Biafra clans has been involved in any act of terrorism in Africa or anywhere in the whole world.
(3) Biafra restoration is going to make many Biafrans to come back home to develop their homeland and thereby creating chance for the teaming unemployed nationals in their former country of residence to take over vacancies their mass exodus back home will create. Many Biafrans are living in countries of western world because there are no job opportunities in Nigeria to accomodate them.
(4) Western world companies will have a healthy economic and business treaties and relations with Biafra as there will be all round development of Biafra territories from the clans of Idoma land through Igbo land down to the shorelines of Gbaramatu and Opobo Kingdom.
With these benefits which the western world stands to gain when Biafra is restored, is it not better for them to support the restoration of sovereign state of Biafra? Nigeria is taking Africa to nowhere. The western world should reject the lobbying of Nigeria govt against Biafra restoration project because Biafra is going to assist the western world in developing the countries which are liability to them.
All we want from the world is to compel Nigeria govt to respect the sacred right of Biafrans to Self-determination as UN declared in 2007.
