5 REASONS WHY I WILL VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP

5 REASONS WHY I WILL VOTE FOR DONALD TRUMP

By Okonkwo Isaac Somto

Unless you have been living under a rock, everyone on the planet is aware that Donald Trump is running for President of the United States as a Republican. Think Donald Trump wouldn’t do well in office? Think again. Yes, he has a tendency to speak without thinking and he’s embarrassed himself on more than a couple of occasions.  Plus, we all thought this was just a publicity stunt. It seems as though there is no middle ground when it comes to Trump, people either love him or hate him. When Trump first announced that he was planning on seeking the highest office in the world, political columnists, commentators, and experts all felt that it was all a stunt to give Donald publicity. No one really thought that Trump really wanted to be President, and even if he did really want the job, no one thought he would be an actual threat to win. However, what we may not realize is that Trump may bring some needed change to the world.

Here are my 5 reasons why I think Donald Trump will make a great president.

1. IDEAL BUSINESSMAN AND LEADER

Donald Trump is first and foremost an acute businessman. The man behind the multi-billion dollar real estate empire is truly the classic American hustler who built his fortune from the grounds up. Yes his father was a successful realtor, but what Donald did eclipses by far anything his father ever accomplished. Donald Trump is a multi-billionaire and there is no question that he can fund his presidential campaign. He doesn't need any help funding his own campaign and that's why he will not owe any favors to any groups that are looking for political collateral. Trump will not feel the pressure of other politicians to try and pass legislation that helps the groups that donate to their campaigns. What trump has exhibited as both a successful businessman and a leader, shows that he's capable of withstanding the pressure of running a country as great as America.

2. HE'S OPEN MINDED

Politicians have a way of talking and using lots of fancy words, yet not really saying anything meaningful at all but that's not Donald Trump. Typical politicians will never answer questions in a straightforward manner but trump clearly speaks his mind and also speaks from the heart, and you can at least respect that. Many experts thought the way he spoke about major issues would be his downfall. In reality, its one of his biggest strengths, people are finally seeing a candidate who is clear in his stances on the key issues. He does not hide his answer amid political double talk. He’s just too honest, that's bad business in politics and that's more reason why i will vote for trump.

3. HE'S NOT A POLITICIAN BY PROFESSION

I know what you thinking, he needs to be in the political game to be a able to manipulate his way into the white house and play the dirty games in other to survive but that's not true. Trump is not a politician, It only takes listening to a few minutes of him speaking to make that clearly obvious. But his inability to play the political correctness game that every politician plays will make him stand out in a packed field. The vast majority of Trump’s support is due to the fact that he is saying what many of the voters are thinking. Whenever Trump says something that is considered to not be politically correct, his lead in the poll increases. This can’t be by accident. He’s not a career politician who says whatever he thinks the people want to hear. He’s running for office to make an actual difference. And he can do so by being different. Of the 16 Republican candidates, all but 3 of them have been senators or governors at some point. It won't be a bad idea for a non-politician to be in charge to show what he can do and I believe Trump will do great.

4. HE'S CLEAN WITHOUT ANY SKELETONS IN HIS CLOSET

Unlike other politicians who always have plenty of skeletons in their cupboard and end up in scandals, trump has managed to put his own all in the open. There isn’t actually anything about his life or past that’s controversial or offensive other than he is divorced and has a crazy hair style. Honestly, he's business is all out in the open. But can you say the same of Hillary Clinton? Or Trump’s entire Republican rivals? Well you know better. Trump even made clear intentions of even prosecuting Hillary Clinton if elected president. Haha..crazy huh?

5. HE'S BLUNT ABOUT AFRICANS ISSUES

Donald Trump doesn’t hate Africans. Trump has always been opened minded about the problems that Africans go through which are largely caused by their own leaders. For example, Trump said Obama has done very, very poorly for African-Americans.

“I’ve always been able to bring people together,” Trump said on CNBC. “And we right now, believe it or not, I mean, we have an African-American president, and I thought one thing. I was not thinking he was going to be a great president because I disagreed with a lot of his views, but I thought he’d be a great unifier, and he turned out to be a great divider. “He’s a great divider. There’s tremendous division in this country, whether it’s white and black or so many other things,” Mr. Trump said about Obama.

Trump also had this to say about Africans home and aboard.

"African Americans are very lazy. The best they can do is gallivanting around ghettoes, lamenting how they are discriminated. These are the people America doesn’t need. They are the enemies of progress. Look at African countries like Kenya for instance, those people are stealing from their own government and go to invest the money in foreign countries. From the government to opposition, they only qualify to be used as a case study whenever bad examples are required. How do you trust even those who have ran away to hide here at the United States hiding behind education? I hear they abuse me in their blogs but I don't care because even the internet they are using is ours and we can decide to switch it off from this side. These are people who import everything including matchsticks. In my opinion, most of these African countries ought to be recolonized again for another 100 years because they know nothing about leadership and self governance" Donald Trump explained about the problems facing Africa.

The fact still remains that Donald trump has been very controversial about his views about Africa, and when you think about most of what he says about African leaders, he speaks the truth. I know Nigerians finds Trump annoying but we Biafrans finds him fascinating, that's why he has our vote. Most times he's always blunt with the truth, always hitting the nail with the hammer. Like the saying goes, "Truth Hurts".

(And for the record, this just my own personally opinion about Trump, so don't get it twisted)

  1. This is really low. How can you quote what he said about Africans and still agree with Him. You need to stop generalizing instead of saying Biafrans , speak for yourself. Learn self love and make a change to the Nigerian government instead of bashing it and agreeing with an oppressor.
