TODAY’S CLAMOUR FOR A CON-FEDERAL SYSTEM AND THE YESTERDAY’S BIAFRAN GENOCIDE

TODAY’S CLAMOUR FOR A CON-FEDERAL SYSTEM AND THE YESTERDAY’S BIAFRAN GENOCIDE

Only the truth is the way to the freedom of a man and I believe, no earthly religion that does not acknowledge this fact, history must be revisited. We must not forget so soon, when the situation of ethnicity and malicious crisis erupted in 1966-67, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu arranged for a meeting in Ghana where the idea of a con-federal system of government was agreed upon. On returning to Nigeria both the North and the western parts of Nigeria betrayed the agreement.

This ushered in the 1967-1970 genocidal war that caused the murder of over 3,000,000 Biafrans mainly women and children.  Today, considering the inequality script been played out by some groups in Nigeria, every tom, dick and harry is now clamoring for a con-federal system of government including the Yorubas, and the people of the middle belt that aided the killing of the Biafran people.

Karma is a natural thing that spears not an offender. So far as life is concerned, there is no sinner that goes unpunished. Irrespective of your religion, you must acknowledge to the fact that there is a supreme being who represents justice.

The pains of the generality of the Nigerian public today I must tell you, is a result of the unapologetic attitude against the oppressed Biafrans and up until now, even in their suffering, they still do not see it necessary that the Biafrans deserves an apology even before giving them an honoured freedom.

This is about nature, in as much as a man represent’s peace, equity and justice, he will never regret a tomorrow. It will only take a short period of time and a brief suffering at the end, the truth will definitely prevail.

It is a welcome idea that everybody is now seeing and understanding that the Aburi accord decision would have been a better option but it is too late at this point. The blood of the Biafrans that soaked the earth is yet dried. It is crying out in a deep grievous mood for an avenge and of course a revenge by the mother earth just like that of Abel, the perpetrators will never go unpunished or else a publicized apology by the British-Nigerian government and the Nigerian public at large, even when Biafra is gone, karma will visit.

My suggestion may as well be swept under the carpet but just as it is happening now, time will tell again. The earlier nature is regarded and the needful is done, the better for the Nigerian citizens and the African communities because, “in the failure of Biafra emergence, Africa was buried”
The worst is yet to come for “he who seizes the belonging of a child ahead of his height will certainly lower his arm when it is heavy” BIAFRA MUST BE FREE.
