FULANI TERRORISTS: FAMILY WRITERS INTERVIEW WITH VICTIMS OF NIMBO ENUGU MASSACRE
The Fulani Herdsmen have left a lifetime and devastating inflicting pains in the hearts of the indigenes of Nimbo Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State. It was indeed an exposing and heart breaking interview, granted by the Victims of Nimbo Enugu massacre to IBEH GIFT AMARACHI OF FAMILY WRITERS. The victims who are still undergoing treatment in the Hospital, with their severe injuries, were graciously able to grant an interview to IBEH GIFT AMARACHI of FAMILY WRITERS. They were randomly massacred with Machetes all over their body, including The head,Neck,Ribs,Mouth etc. The injuries were so severe that, the cut affected their Vocal strength. One of the Male victims, found it difficult and hard to speak to the hearing of those around him, until you go very close to him. The loved ones of the victims were seen surrounding them, while they pray for the total and quick recovery of their Brothers.
Family Writers also gathered that, the other victim who was suppose to be interviewed, was undergoing surgery in the theatre, thus would not be in position to grant an interview, even if one had waited until the surgery was carried out on him.
LET'S HEAR THE HEART BREAKING EXPERIENCE AND STORY OF THE VICTIMS OF NIMBO UZO-UWANI ENUGU MASSACRE:
-PATRICK EZE A GEOLOGIST WHO WAS GRUSOMELY ATTACKED BY FULANI HERDSMEN: "My names are Patrick Eze and I am 27 of age. I am a Geologist. I am a native of Nimbo Uzu-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State and as well live in my Village. I was on my bed by 6: am on the 25th of April 2016 lying down. Suddenly I started hearing sounds of Heavy Gun Shots. I had to stand up and move close to the window, where I saw Fulani's putting up their Babariga and some normal cloth chanting Hausa/Fulani war songs that I couldn't understand from afar. And before the Fulani herdsmen invasion, we were told that Fulani Herdsmen want to launch an attack in Nimbo, but I took it for granted. When I sighted them from a distance, I took up my credentials and put it inside my Bag. My Sisters, Dad, Mum and I ran away from our House through the Bush and after about 45minutes, we were dispersed and I couldn't see them again. So, I ran to a village called Unazi in same community, 2kilometers away from my village. The Gun shots was heard closely in my hiding place, so I ran away from their and hide by the Bush side to observe what was going on and then saw they were Fulani Herdsmen. About four of the herdsmen were seen by me. The First and Second Fulani herdsmen approaching my hiding place, had Guns and the Third and Fourth men had Matchets. As they came closer,I started running for safety and then fell on the floor as I was hit by a stone.
The Two Fulani herdsmen with Matchet, started cutting my Leg,Back,Arm,Head and every part of my body, while I screamed for help. Then, I fell unconscious for a while, I’m sure they thought I was dead. But when I opened my eyes and was struggling on the floor, another Fulani herdsmen rushed to where I was on a Motorcycle and a matchet and fortunately for me, the Vigilantes heard me as I was crying for help and as they were rushing down to the scene, he ran away with the motorcycle. They carried me into a Van alongside with another Man who was massacred, but he died. I was taken to a Hospital called Scanna Hospital where I received treatment for 8days, but my situation got critical and then I was taken to Orthopaedic Hospital Enugu by an Ambulance for treatment. Fulani herdsmen are more evil than Bokoharam, because they are seen in every nooks and crannies in our villages. This is a barbaric experience, I will never forget. As you can see, I am still undergoing treatment and I pray I recover from this wound and trauma Fulani herdsmen inflicted on me, as I can't stop thinking about the way I was brutalised".
CELESTINE AJOGWU THE 26YR VICTIM WHO ONE OF THE NURSES STATED THAT HE HAS LOWER JAW AND MADIBULAR FRACTURE FOLLOWING ASSAULT: My names are Celestine Ajogwu and I am 26 year old. I was in my House alone at Nimbo Uzo-Uwani in Enugu State resting in the Parlour, at 8am with my door open and just my curtain covering. All of a sudden, a group of heavily armed Fulani Men speaking Fulani opened the curtain and came into my Parlour. As they saw me in the parlour they rushed towards me and started matcheting me. I was so helpless and couldn't help myself. They were more than Six and I screamed for help, but no help was granted. When they left me on the floor pull of my bood screaming,my Villagers came in and rushed me to the Orthopaedic Hospital here in Enugu. I find it difficult to talk, because they cut my mouth too. These Fulani herdsmen should be stopped, because they are very wicked. I wish to leave this Hospital, but the wound inflicted on me is too severe".
