"BUHARI IS DESPERATE TO JAIL NNAMDI KANU"- INTER-SOCIETY

The trial of Nnamdi Kanu has sparked a lot of reactions from both local and international Rights Activists as well as Human Rights Organizations across the world with condemnations and pressures mounting heavily on Nigerian government led by Muhammadu Buhari, a Coupist and former military dictator who is currently under clothing as a civilian Head of State. It is at this juncture that the leadership of International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law (INTER-SOCIETY) has risen up among other groups to condemn the atrocities of Nigerian government with regards to the incarceration of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and the Director of Radio Biafra and Biafra Television Worldwide.

Speaking to a Family Writers' Journalist(Paul Ihechi Alagba)  in an interview, Emeka Umeagbalasi the Chairman of Inter-society condemned the desperation of Buhari and his cohorts to jail Nnamdi Kanu at all cost through his influence and interference in the affairs of the judiciary as well as kangaroo allegations against Kanu-

"The thing is that the federal government-Buhari himself has stepped out at all cost to send Nnamdi Kanu to jail and sending Nnamdi Kanu to jail is a fundamental part of his old brigade thinking of locking everybody up in the prison. So he has been scuttling the independence of the judiciary by determining the judge who will sit over the case and is going all out to concoct all sorts of things so as to make sure that Nnamdi Kanu goes to jail, by fire by force."

"He doesn't want Nnamdi Kanu to defend himself over the allegations. There is no evidence against Nnamdi Kanu as I speak to you, Buhari's DSS have continued to concoct one form of fabricated evidence or the other and if this one doesn't work, they come up with another theory tomorrow."

"Remember there was a time they were talking about Nnamdi Kanu to be detained forever for his alleged involvement in terrorism and terrorism financing and when that one was knocked off, they came up with another soldier- this time they say TREASON. The worst is that they don't have evidence. The only thing is that once you mention treason, the person will be detained and granting him bail will be difficult but in their short sightedness, they are not looking at the end of it, how the whole thing is going to end.
