TO AREWA AND ODUDUWA: BIAFRA IS OUR HOME AND FUTURE

TO AREWA AND ODUDUWA: BIAFRA IS OUR HOME AND FUTURE
By Ifeanyi Chijioke
(For Family Writers)

I have sat down to deceive my religious awareness, ethnic and cultural awareness, deceive them into believing I can stay together with you Nigerians. But each time I try my brain comes up with disturbing questions. Why does Hausa/Fulani kill at will, won't I be killed any moment? Why did they prefer sharia over human life? Why did oduduwa and Arewa hate Biafrans for their domineering nature through hard work? Don't they have the physical and mental strength to compete with us? Must we be deported, subjected to heavy taxes, molested and threatened for being strangers in Oduduwa land? Must we be bombed, lynched or murdered for not being able to recite Koran or for being non-muslims? Bombing and gunning us down now and then, yes we are infidels but we are human beings.

Nigerians! Have you no sympathy for us Biafrans? I read a letter by Arewa to IPOB yesterday; I must confess that is my driving force this moment. At least Arewa person dares to talk, only if I could catch him in a debate because I am sure nobody can win debate against Biafra. Even if somebody will put up a fight, not a sinner, western education is a sin to Arewa and Hausa/fulani dares not. Cattle rearing and stealing of oil in Biafra land is a virtue, they proved perfect slaves to Britain hence Britain uses them to enslave anybody they come in contact with. "Haba! This (Nigeria) dear fatherland" who told you Lord Lugard is my father, my grandfather is a Biafran and never a Nigerian; I love my father land not Lugard's land. I read the letter with anger because I could see the sarcasm and irony, let me quickly respond Nigerians to ease my anger rather than hug a transformer. “My dear Ndigbo, if you guys chose to go away, what happens to the old ties many of us have forged and family? What about all the properties you own up here in this our lovely Arewa? I don't know of any other ethnic group that own' more property across Nigeria, I am sure you you people arguably make up over 80% of the nation's land lords, so if you all move to the east would the market there accommodate all the Igbo traders across the nation's markets?" this part of your letter is my problem, you are either blind or showing your inability to reason.

BIAFRA is a home and our future hence we are conquered people in Nigeria, even though Biafra goes, as neighboring countries we can diplomatically share whatsoever you forged with the likes of Rochas Okorocha. We want to build a home hence Nigeria is not a home because we have always been killed and given ultimatum to leave north, we have always been deported from Lagos Nigeria to our land. You come to my land and survive with my oil at my own peril, you go to Lagos and build infrastructures, you go to North and do same, have you not come to eastern region? Did you see federal roads? Did you see hospitals, did you see Warf, did you see international airport? Did you see any ship anchor on river Niger? You did build infrastructures in the north and west with my oil money that left my land contaminated. You forced me to come and do my business because of presence of federal infrastructures in your home to forever enslave me, for me to see reason never to go home but you have woefully failed. What will happen to my landed properties? Have you no property in Ghana, did anything happen to it? Yes that is how a Biafran will have in Nigeria and nothing will happen, we shall diplomatically follow up everything. Are you not aware there is international law guiding our properties should we perfect our independence soon? We can build what we built in Lagos in Biafra land, we are not tied to buying and selling alone, we don't need market all over to accommodate us we are scientists and will engage in innovations and inventions. You steal our resources to build only your home so that we can forever remain slaves by means of enticement; you now remind us we have nothing in Biafra land.

Yes we have nothing and don't belong to Nigeria, we understand that as soon as we raised gun against Nigeria and failed that we shall remain conquered people without future in your country. Have your country, we are going and we shall be ready to pay taxations for our properties, but with time we shall see how far our domineering nature can cause Biafra's dominance among other nations." But beyond all these, am yet to make sense of your current agitation of wanting not to be part of Biafra" it's really a laughable question, you cited the love we enjoy in Nigeria and I ask. Is deportation part of the love? Is northernization policy part of the love? Is targeting Biafrans in a tender pogrom in north part of it? Is being threatened to vote whom Nigerians want or be thrown into lagoon part of your love?  I have to travel 800km to get my goods when river is at our backyard love? Is having not seen international flight in Biafra land part of the love? Is having not plied on good roads in Biafra part of it? Is having no hospital here part of it? Please take your time and check what the meaning of love is. Biafrans boycotted 2015 election, play radiobiafra podcast of that period, check percentage of vote in 2011 and 2015, dear we are not concerned about who is in power, we are concerned about Biafra. Biafra is not a call for abandonment, through diplomatic means we shall help Nigeria only if you heed to referendum rather than war because two options are here, Biafra or death. Biafra is our future, so we can make use of what we have to show what we can do for the world, we can build cars, produce and invent and Nigeria can't give us such opportunity because of hatred and corruption. Goodbye Nigeria we are going home to where we won't be killed or deported again.
