Media is the voice of the voiceless but in Nigeria its a tool in the hands of government to suppress the masses.

They failed to know the mission of journalism due to they schooled in Nigeria where Education is mockery of knowledge. They failed to know that patriotism is a greater feat than wealth. They failed to know that journalism is a tool that sharpens and leads a country. They thought journalism is a tool that promotes sitting government. They thought journalism is a tool that is used to keeping a country together. To an excellent  Nigerian journalist that is what journalism is all about. One would pause and ask where am i from? When international media houses floated an open letter on the arrest of Nnamdi kanu, i had a lot of blatant calls that Buhari will arrest me or shoot me; i must confess that fear gripped me until i was abreasted by Mazi Emeka Nnaoma. I sat down and imagined what nigerian journalists must have seen and thought of absorbing them of much blame. But i am a product of radiobiafra and a graduate of radiobiafra school of knowledge and reasoning. My lecturer Mazi Nnamdi kanu would always say stand without fear even in the face of your enemies for it is appointed unto man to die but once. Sadly they had no lecturer like mine and nigeria collapsed for their lack of commitments and understanding of the power of press. It started before 1967 when they were supposed to come hard on the northern elites to change the way they perceive eastern people and western elites as well but they failed as money was more important than truth. During the war they had the chance to tell the world of the then ongoing genocide but was bribed by Nigeria as they published and peddled lies. It became a culture that money is needed before news is published or written and the rich hijacked the press and corruption took prominence. They have however continued on that path till Radio Biafra emerged and disclosed what they are, i decided to research and follow journalism in Nigeria and these are what i found out.

The fear of the executive remains a factor that destroyed Nigeria, it has become a culture of playing the puppet in the hands of the executive of the day and any attempt to oppose will result to your newspapers being barred or journalists clamped on. Truth that will shape the country but hurt the ambition of the sitting government is always considered as a threat. Citing the condition of Nigeria, they have decided to throw away truth and constructive publications by supporting the government and they would never ask can anything built on lies ever last? People are being murdered for lawfully and peacefully going about their self determination and they are unable to address it because they feel the government will be downed. Media is the voice of the voiceless and the eyes of the blind but in Nigeria its a tool in the hands of government for suppression. They have conspired with government against the people and successfully dipped in corruption as they are agents of death and witch hunting. They are yet to repent even in the presence  of Radio Biafra that shreds them, they made the world embrace radio Biafra as truth will always prevail over lies. They are on it again with failure to call the government to order instead calling spade a dog  while mothers are being arrested and youths killed for lawfully demanding their desire. Until arms are involved they won't show virtue and now Nigeria has collapsed who will allow such journalists elsewhere.
